Anthony! Podcast! Plant Migration! 10.31.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:28 pm

Studied Spanish and did my brain training.

Mileage log, last of month.

Beautiful day but getting cooler.

The colder weather coming led to me getting all my plants inside.

Scary Pumpkin continues to frighten.

Today, for the first time ever I saw a turkey in the wild.

Here’s a turkey vulture.

They cut a tree down near where I record.

The sap comes to the top.

Powerful fronts blowing through make for fantastic clouds.

Checked on the windshield wiper fluid in Kathy’s truck.

Six months of the year, a few of my larger plants go outside. Today, I brought them back in. With the use of my dolly, it was super easy.

I clean all the leaf litter from them and add top soil.

Includes some new bamboo cuttings.

Spanish.

This evening I recited a couple of poems for a zoom meeting my buddy Anthony hosted. I did part of Hollow Men and As an Antidote for Fear of Death. Everyone seemed to have a good time.

Grandgirls! Newsletters! Mission! 10.29.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:38 pm

Tropical storm Zeta blew through last night. We lost power for about an hour.

I usually arrive at Global Mall around 8am. Because of the storm, we met at around 9:15. So I had time to study Spanish.

As I mentioned yesterday, studying Spanish has replaced social media. So whenever I used to scroll through Facebook, now I go through Duolingo or Clozemaster.

I’ll dig deeper into the meanings of words. It’s super useful.

Rained a 1.25″ last night.

The girls needed to go potty, and because we were later, the mall was open. So we wandered around the mall a bit. No one was there. It was kinda fun.

Went from Global Mall to FBC Doraville to drop off Ashley’s newsletter. The secretary got it done by the time I came back and finished at the mission.

Got gas. Cleaned windshield. Checked oil.

Our scary pumpkin is looking even scarier to me.

Cleaned off the driveway after the storm.

I like lichen.

More Spanish.

Took some printer paper to Ashley.

Read books and put girls down for a nap. I probably rested around 30 minutes.

Went to Baskin Robbins for ice cream and spider doughnuts.

To Azalea to help the kids.

The girls enjoy playing.

Back to the church to pick up the newsletters. Also watered the ficus in my office.

It’s hard to work in a black and white environment after color for so long. It’s all about contrast and how bright the pictures are.

Listened to Harry Potter in Spanish on the way home.

Deposited checks.

Beauty clouds.

Grandgirls! Library! Mission! 10.28.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:09 pm

Studied Spanish. Working with Clozemaster again seems to have really accelerated my progress. Going through all the lessons in Duolingo was a good choice. I study Spanish off and on all day long.

The girls enjoyed climbing on the railing.

Tropical storm moving in.

Always great to see Ashley.

Made blueberry pancakes for the girls.

Heard back from my insurance adjuster. All good news.

The girls were excited to go on safari to the Library. We had a good time there.

Putting the books back in.

Choosing more books.

The bandana masks didn’t stay up very well. I just ordered more proper masks their size.

Ordered groceries.

More Spanish. Always more Spanish.

Groceries.

I find beauty everywhere. I thought this oil on the water was stunning.

After lunch we read books and rested.

Penelope worked very hard.

Big weather headed our way.

Helped the kids at the mission.

Teaching her how to hold the crayon. It’s a work in progress.

Been having a lot of trouble with my glasses fogging up because of wearing a mask.

Listened to Harry Potter in Spanish.

Heavy rain when I picked up the groceries.

Grandgirls! Labels! Azalea! 10.27.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:06 pm

Woke up with a text from my wife saying that the toilet seat had broken. Bahd luck.

Made it to Global Mall this morning super fast. Later today, going to Azalea was super slow. C’est la vie.

Always great to see Ashley.

The girls helped me with the labeling.

Put the grocery order in.

Replacement toilet seat. It seems quite heavy duty. We’ll see.

Penelope loves her mayo.

Went to the Post Office to get stamps. I get them from the vending machine.

Put labels on the envelopes. Everly liked my preaching bullet man.

Put the return envelopes in the main envelope. Put the address and return labels on as well as the stamps. All that’s left is the newsletter.

Penelope and I went through the new calendar today. She counted up to 35. Read Boo and Mama and Penelope.

Studied Spanish. On the days that I’m with the grandgirls, I don’t normally study Spanish until later in the day. Spare minute studying. Still works.

Nothing sweeter than sleeping children.

Helped the kids at the mission. Most had done all their work on their own or with a buddy.

This little raptor got my attention.

It made an interesting type of chirp.
Mild weather.

Checked the mail at my office.

Turned my newsletter in at the church.

Listened to Harry Potter in Spanish.

Picked up groceries.

It’s ridiculously easy.

Any down time, back to Spanish.

Verb forms and usage. It drives the language.

The hinge on the toilet seat failed.

Installed the new hardware on the new seat.

Ready for customers.

Spanish! Ice Cream! Podcast! 10.26.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:31 pm

I’m enjoying reading the Inevitable book.

Studied Spanish.

This is a hard tip to do.

Halloween Spanish vocabulary.

Called my insurance adjuster six times today. Sent another email.

Took Jess to go vote then for ice cream. Double fudge with a Dino cookie.

Cloudy and cool.

Whenever I have a break, I open Clozemaster. I’m working hard on prepositions now.

I bought Kathy some new shoes. Getting her some insoles. They ones I got her also need a thin pad like this to make it more comfortable.

I studied this picture of me and the NoZe Brotherhood in Waco over ten years ago. I contacted people in the picture this evening.

Wrote, produced and printed my newsletter. I’ll drop it off a FBC Doraville Tuesday afternoon.

Printed labels. Looks like I’ll be about four small envelopes short. I’ll pick some up soon.

I redid the framework of my alarm system. It sorta looks like what I do.

Got the groceries and the ice cream cake for the party.

They misspelled her name.

It was a fun Party.

Put everything up and vacuumed the house.

Grandgirls! J Pre-Birthday! Bike! 10.23.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:27 pm

I’ve enjoyed rereading Kevin Kelly’s book, Inevitable.

I read books in place of looking at Facebook and news.

Beautiful sunrise clouds.

I always think of using this parking lot to show the wobble of the Earth for where the Sun rises. Like Stonehenge.

Always great to see Ashley!

Ordered groceries.

I was supposed to get the check for repairing my roof at least two weeks ago. We never got the check. Talked to the bank about it for a long time.

Then notified my insurance people they have to cut another check. What a hassle.

Tried to get through to my Nationwide guy 19 times.

The girls enjoyed having a little party with Jesse.

Got some new shoes and insoles for Kathy.

The girls really enjoyed the deck today.
