Rain blew through our area this morning. Studied in the car rather than walking.

Worked hard last week.

Picked up the girls at 8:00 AM.

My car needed a tuneup. I dropped it off at T&G this morning. Looks like it needs spark plugs and wires.

I needed a new carabiner for my keys. We walked around Walmart to get it.

Woke up with my eye looking bloody. Doesn’t hurt. Can see just fine. Really don’t know how it happened.

Sewed up the swim bag that holds all our pool stuff.

Had fun at the Lazy River pool.

I was on the phone with my medical insurance agent for nearly two hours. Glad to get that squared away.

Girls were missing their folks. We talked to them on FaceTime.

Studied Español this evening.

Walked 2.24 miles.

Biked 3.08 miles. Would’ve gone a lot further but Ashley and her family came by to visit me. I went up the big hill in the front of my neighborhood five times. Believe me, that’s no joke on a bike.

K and I went out to eat at a new Indian food place for us for lunch. We really liked it, although it was kind of expensive. What isn’t these days?

It’s on the second floor. We’d never been up there before.

I got a kick out all the places they had restaurants. Especially Kenya!

I liked the vibe of the Royal Sweet shop too.

Got gas and checked the oil in my car. It’s been running rough. Need to get it tuned up when I have a day off.

We hope to take the grandgirls to the Lazy River pool tomorrow. I checked on the dates to make sure it’d be open.

I loved the card they made me.

Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called, “Banana Plants.” Sweet!

I keep cranking them out.

Looks like I’ll come in #2 again this week.

Edited and uploaded the video that I shot of the Christ Church team this week.

I heard this word applied to Donald Trump. Not sure what it meant.

Having a count down timer has really helped them not resist doing some work every day. They can actually do quite a lot in fifteen minutes!

Deposited checks. Amen.

Went on Safari to Goodwill, Pet Smart, Perimeter Mall and Barnes and Noble book store.

I like them to practice balance.

This chair was cool, although not particularly comfortable.

Walked 1.47 miles with them around the Mall.

They enjoyed the stuff we got at Goodwill.

I cleaned Ashley’s fan. It was so clogged up you couldn’t even feel any air.

Made a mess of the bathtub. Cleaned that up as well.

Took the girls to the Doraville Pool. I had a small, plastic alligator that would sink to the bottom. They practiced swimming down to pick it up. Another good skill to learn!

It’s a big pool. And on Friday it never seems to be crowded, which we love.

I love these girls SO much.

Got pretty warm.

Always learning new words. I think there are other meanings as well.

Went by my office to check the mail.

I listen to this every day.

Got some extra cables. One charges my phone, the other the external batteries.

Cleaned my bike, filled the water bottle and pumped up the tires to a bit over 60 PSI.

Biked 12.78 miles. Worked out over 3.5 hours today. Walked, swam and biked.

K and I went to Pizza Cafe this evening. We ordered a sub for J.

Lot of rain, but today it missed us to the south.

Ben and Liz Birdsong are two of my very favorite people.

We had our Dedication Day this morning, then took them on Safari to Plaza Fiesta.

They did a great job at Azalea Place and New Peachtree.

I went to the Fellowship Hall to put all my gear away and set up the tables and chairs for church on Sunday.

It was a great week.

The Pink Magnolia that I planted has been attacked by this white powder mildew. Seeking out best ways to fight back. I’m going to try this citrus based fungicide.

There was some heavy weather in our area with lightning and thunder. It reminded my of my favorite number and its meaning in the I Ching.

I’ve found that a glass scraper works the best for cleaning the stove top.

Because it was rainy, I walked forward from this spot,

And backward from this spot.

Just as fast as I could. Probably over 200 times for 45 minutes. Most bizarre exercise I’ve ever done. Still got sweaty.

Listened to this podcast in Spanish while I played Battlefront II. I understood more than 90% of it. I prefer podcasts that have several people having a conversation. They are way harder to keep up with.

I’ll come in #2 this week. I won’t catch Margarita. And Bonnie won’t catch me. Too much of a gap between us. Any time I crack 20,000 I know I’ve put in the work. Not surprising that I continue to improve. It’s not magic. It’s effort.

I had a chat with my mentor Fred Sorrells this morning. It was 19 years ago today that we were in S. Africa on the Ellis Field watching the Springboks beat the All Blacks. It’s the highlight of the film “Invictus.” I have a picture of me and Francois Pienaar in my office.

Worked hard this week. I think it may be my all time high. Or close to it.

I noticed yesterday in my OYB that I have had my new Mac Air for two years. I have really loved this computer.

OYB! You may notice the writing in the margins of my Bible. They are the highlights of what happened that day, kind of a “blog light.” This Bible goes back to 2014. This blog on line goes back to 2004.

I’ve started doing my own clothes. When I’m biking a lot I generate a LOT more dirty clothes. It’s good to help out when I can. It’s kind of hard for K to do.

Jessi has bad dust mite allergies. We are looking at what we can do to help mitigate that.

I worked out hard this morning and early afternoon because of the wild fire smoke alert. Usually I wait until later in the day.

Put the new stickers on my license plates.

I also saw this turtle while I was riding my bike. I believe it’s laying its eggs.

I will break 20,000 points in one week tomorrow.
