APE! Azalea! Team! Goodwill! 7.4.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 4:44 pm

It was so sweet to see Everly make a friend.

OYB!

Español!

Love my girls!

At Waffle House, I realized that we could go find the team if we wanted to. I knew where they were going. Sure enough, we found them at the Buford Highway Farmers Market. Everly was so happy to see Kyndal.

Yesterday, Everly was so sad. Crying and crying. I told her, “Everly, it’s not ‘Goodbye,’ it’s just ‘See you later!'” After we met up with the teams this morning, Everly told me, “It really was See you later!”

Thunderstorms blew through.

We went to the Goodwill by Perimeter Mall. The girls made some money by having a little store for the team. It was so funny seeing them calculate how much everything was costing. Like when it’s “their” money.

Ordered groceries.

Looks like Beryl will be hitting the US soon.

WX! KAPE! 7.4.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:12 pm

I’ve found tracking hurricane Beryl to be fascinating. It’s the first time I’ve really done that with wind and satellite imagery.

It was really hot today. Wow.

Love my girls!

The parking lot at the church was crammed with people running the Peachtree 10K.

We had our Red Thread ceremony today.

It’s up to ME!

The team helped me put all my stuff back in my closet and clean up the Fellowship Hall. Cheers!

We ate at Plaza Fiesta.

I enjoyed showing them around.

On Safari to China Town. We had fun doing calligraphy.

We said goodbye to the team after they got on site at Azalea. I had to take Kathy home. Just too hot and too much walking for her. Good to see Miles and Ashley for a bit.

Intense.

Girls! Deep Spring BC! Al Madina! Missions! 7.3.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:06 pm

Can’t think of a much worse way of dying.

I need to update our schedule. Several of the eating places are no longer available.

Hot.

Hurricane season.

We went to FBC Doraville to set up for The Show and do some homework. I’m working on the multiplication tables with Penelope and addition families with Everly.

After our briefing with the team, we took them to Al Madina for lunch.

How would you like to wear this all day long?

Bizarre.

Don Cheto!

I’m making solid effort. Lots of good students this week. Soon I will hit 2,000,000 XP. That’s really amazing to me. 107 Top Three awards. Over four years of not missing a day.

We enjoyed eating at Al Madina.

The shwarmas were a big hit.

The food was really good.

Also visited the Kitab Islamic book store.

Interesting.

Also checked out Asian Square.

Great time at the mission.

Deep Springs BC! Temple! Global Mall! AZ & NP!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:13 pm

I’ve been watching this system form from the beginning with my WX apps on my phone.

Cooler today and way less humidity. The slow, stationary front finally passed us and gave us a relief from the oppressive humidity and heat.

My girls!

Great to hear from Jouvens today. Hope we get a chance to get together.

Happy to see this church coming back. They just lost their Missions Director who was a huge advocate for us.

Don Cheto!

I enjoyed doing The Show with the team from Deep Springs BC, TN! The girls and I took them on Safari to Hibachi Grill for lunch, the BAPS Hindu temple and Global Mall.

On to the missions at Azalea and New Peachtree.

That’s a lot of money for an animated film. The grandgirls thought it was great.

OYB!

Español!

Hot.

Mileage.

Love my girls!

Had a great time briefing the team. Awesome to have PE with me.

Got the newsletter copied. Stuffed the envelopes, put stamps on them and got them in the mail.

Listened to Don Cheto.

We took them on Safari to the Buford Highway Farmers Market.

They worked at Azalea Place and New Peachtree.

Español! Newsletter! 6.30.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:14 pm

I have several new weather watching tools. I’m enjoying the wind app with Ventusky, Zoom Earth which animates clouds over any area of the world and Radar Scope which is pro grade radar.

Always great to hear from kids from the old days. I have a team that weekend and won’t be able to go.

OYB!

Español!

Wrote my newsletter.

Called Nana. Kept getting cut off. We went to using the iPad with wifi instead of the land line.

Fun talk with my buddy Anthony. We haven’t been able to talk much recently because of my Summer schedule.

Produced my newsletter.

I really find these wind pictures so beautiful.

Fourth this week. That’s out of thirty.

Español! Ann! Back! 6.29.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:37 pm

Enjoyed listening to Don Cheto while I played Battlefront 2 last night.

Ashley picked up the desk we bought at Good Will for Penelope. She already has it all set up.

Español!

OYB!

Keep going.

Warm.

Went to Ann’s house to make sure she was alright. K hadn’t heard from her in over 24 hours. I got her phone working with new cord and charger. Also rewired the power supply. Then cleaned her living area and bathroom. You can’t imagine just how nasty it was.

Also made sure to put K back on her sister’s location monitor. Now she can tell if her sister is in the hospital by tracking her phone’s GPS.

Listened to some Metronomy.

Some very motivated students.

PE! Azalea! Perimeter Mall! Desk! 6.28.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:14 pm

Don Cheto!

OYB!

Nice today.

Español!

Love my girls!

Girls are working super hard.

Perfecting 2,3 and 4 times tables. Everly did well on all the combinations of adding 2.

Practicing climbing.

Went to my office to pick up checks and water my ficus. We also picked up a table from my office to put in her room.

We stopped by the Dunwoody library on the way to visit Ashley with the girls. We liked this mural.

Ashley was doing great.

We got super lucky and found a desk at Goodwill that Penelope liked for $20. That’ll preach. Ashley will pick it up on the way home. Everly also got two cute shirts and a pretty little dress she liked.

Deposited checks. Thank you, Father.

PEK! Bojangles! Español! 6.27.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 4:11 pm

Tough competition this week.

Don Cheto.

Cooler today.

OYB!

Español!

Super School.

K and I took the girls to Bojangles for breakfast.

Always drama in nature. We were outside Bojangles and Penelope saw a spider being pulled off by one leg by an ant.

Always good.

Penelope and I played some Borderlands together. She’s pretty good!

Miles came over and picked up the girls around 3:00. We had everything ready and packed up.

Jessi and I are working on a mycelium project with a pressure cooker. I set up an area that should be impervious to the heat: bricks on a concrete slab.

PEK! Class! Waffle House! Crazy River! Ann! 6.26.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:55 pm

Incredible. Now everything is tracked. Especially our attention.

This makes me sad.

I’ve been studying these verbs. So much to learn.

Mighty warm.

OYB!

The kids got a kick out of seeing this old picture of their parents after they first got married.

Español!

Working hard on multiplication tables. Up to the 5s today. Her average time for doing about 20 problems is about a minute.

Penelope liked this picture. She said she had, “elf ears.”

Everly helped me clean the living room glass door.

I liked this idea.

Short talk with Nana. She was just starting her PT when I called.

I think all the website stuff should be ok for three years now. Least I hope so.

K and I took the girls to Waffle House this morning.

They are really good eaters.

I’m always trying to push their abilities. The top of those curbs are only around 3″ wide.

I was planning on lunch with Jon tomorrow. Turns out he’s busy.

Finally got the groceries that were supposed to be done yesterday, today.

After I got the groceries put up, we went over to the Crazy River pool. We stayed about an hour. That’s plenty for me.

Jessi put Ann’s new walker together. E and I took it over to Ann’s and gave it to her. I also put her garbage cans back up.

Every one is chilling now. Nice to be in the shade in the cool.
