Newsletters! Azalea! Feeders! Groceries! Hat! Return! 9.30.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:47 pm

OYB!

Español!

I tried out my new bird feeder pole, but decided to return it to get one with an anti-squirrel baffle on it.

Cloudy with some drizzle. Hurricanes in the Atlantic.

K and I went to Taco Veloz for lunch. We stuffed the envelopes while we were there. Then I put them in the mail.

Helped the kids at Azalea with their homework.

Got the groceries and put them up.

Received the proof for my new family prayer card.

Cleaned out the trashcan where I put my bird and animal food. The seed had gotten wet and gone bad. I threw it al outl, and scrubbed the can clean. Then put the fan on it to dry it out. Also cleaned out and dried the bird seed feeder.

Took the distilled water to my back door in my cart. Easier than carrying all those jugs by hand down the stairs.

Soaked one of my hats again with some extra whitener oxyclean. It wasn’t really clean yet.

This one looked great.

Decided to return the pole for my feeder because it didn’t have a baffle. The UPS by my house no longer does the free Amazon returns. Fortunately, there’s a Whole Foods near the Mission that is easy for me to take it to.

Keep going.

Roses! Joey & Selma! Blankets! Azalea! Prayer Card! 9.29.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:04 pm

I’ve been enjoying Borderlands 4. It’s a pretty complicated system. I have to memorize this chart to play it better.

I liked this article from Eric Barker on how not to get scammed.

Cooler today.

OYB!

I support Wikipedia.

I came in third place last week.

I trimmed a couple of dead branches from one of my azalea bushes.

Some of my roses have been attacked by insects. Mixed up some Neem oil to take care of it. Ordered some new spray bottles.

Made PBJ’s for J.

K and I went to Joey and Selma Blackmon’s house to pick up some blankets and gloves for the families at the Mission.

The families loved them!

K and I helped the kids with their homework.

One of the girls wrote a note to Selma to say thanks.

Ordered groceries.

Keep going.

We shot a new family picture at the party last weekend. I got new prayer cards ordered. It usually takes a few times to get the card correct before they print.

I got gas in the Lincoln, picked up the ice cream cake and the pizza for the Birthday Party.

We had a great time.

I helped clean up the kitchen at the Kendall’s house and enjoyed talking with the family.

Rode my bike 12.44 miles in 1:26 hours. Great ride with perfect weather.

Coordinated Mom’s Physical Therapy session tomorrow.

I should come in second place this week.

We took our family picture for 2025.

TKN! Presents! Feeders! 9.27.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:36 pm

OYB!

Swept the kitchen.

Español!

Laundry.

Nana took K and me out to Metro Cafe.

Went to Dollar Tree to pick up more gifts for Everly and Penelope. We are having a party at Miles’ parent’s house tomorrow.

Push and keep pushing.

Rained a bit. No biking today.

Paid a bill to J’s doctor.

Wrapped presents for Miles, Everly and a few for Penelope too.

Glad to see the power bill going down. I think it’s because we are using window units and not cooling the whole house.

Cleaned and refilled the hummingbird feeders. I got a small feeder for Nana’s window and set it up.

Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Easy Mode.”

I’ll be in the top three for sure.

Everly! Hurricane! Anthony! Newsletters! 9.26.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:15 pm

Happy Birthday, Everly! Love you SO MUCH!

I liked this letter.

Wow!

My letter to the Texas DMV didn’t get there on time, so I will get my $31 back. I’ll do that on Monday.

OYB!

Español!

Short chat with my buddy, Anthony. He was outside the Abbey Road recording studio in London when I called him. He’s working on a new book. I’m giving him ideas and feedback.

Took my Mom to get her hair washed and dried. We had Thai food afterwards.

Looked like rain might hit so I didn’t do my bike ride today. Focused on writing and producing my newsletter instead. I’ll work on the labels this evening.

I’m putting up another bird feeder where I study on the front porch.

I’ve really enjoyed watching the hummingbirds. They are two females who are having battles for dominance now. I’m putting another feeder up for the hummingbirds outside of my Mom’s window on the other side of the house to try and give them some peace to feed.

Word study.

Ordered more black ink. I’m good for now, but it might be low.

Keep pushing. I’ll be in the top three for sure. The top person is one of the best in Duolingo. She has over 5,000,000 xp.

Ashley and her family are getting ready for Halloween. Even the pup gets a little hat.

Helped the kids at the Mission. We waited for the storms to pass before K and I got there.

Called Torreros to get some food for J on the way home.

Keep going.

Title! Stamps! PEK! Azalea! 9.23.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:16 pm

Set up my appointment to get the title of the Lincoln transferred to my name.

OYB!

Went to the Tag office to get the title transferred to my name and get the license plate. Unfortunately, I had used white out to correct an error and they said that voided the title. Bahd luck.

Came home and filled out a form to get a certified replacement. Took it to the Post Office to send overnight mail to the DMV in Texas. Should get the new title in pretty soon and then can start the process again.

After I got the letter sent off, I went ahead and got stamps for this month’s newsletter.

We had some pretty bad neighbors that left our neighborhood, much to our delight. They put their mattresses on the curb. I noticed a guy doing remodeling at the house. I talked to him about those mattresses. He told me they had arranged for a pickup by our trash guys tomorrow. Hope so.

Trash out to the curb.

Super bad traffic on the way to the mission. Made us late to pick up the girls. They were fine.

Put a new police sticker on the back of the Lincoln. I like them to know that we’re part of the good guys. I have a Special Forces vanity plate on the front of the car.

K and I took the grandgirls over to Taco Veloz. So good.

Everly was kissing me hard.

Cool caterpillar.

Helped the kids at the Mission.

Checked the mail at my office.

One more day.

Shoes! Emission! Azalea! K! 9.22.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:30 pm

OYB!

Came in first place last week.

Got my new shoelaces in my freshly painted shoes.

Talked to John Thomas to make sure that the Mercury was taken off the insurance. That’s been gone over a year.

Got the emission done on the Lincoln. Now I have all the pieces to get the Georgia plates. I’ll take care of that soon.

Took my Mom to the doctor today. Unfortunately, they didn’t have her down for the right type of procedure, so we left. Waste of time.

K and I helped the kids at the Mission.

Keep going.

Tallulah Gorge! Yard! HBirds! Shoes! 9.21.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:46 pm

Fall is here!

Español! Interesting story about this picture.

OYB!

K and I enjoyed our stay at Quality Inn #102 in Clayton, GA.

We visited the Tallulah Gorge overlook on our way home. Beauty! We’ve been coming here for over forty years.

Beautiful weather.

Bad Suns is one of my favorite bands. Still on the fence whether I’ll go.

It’s been dry here. I watered my plants.

Cleaned and refilled my hummingbird feeders.

Blew my driveway and deck.

I’ll come in first place this week.

My Mom wrote a sweet note to Everly. I printed it out for her.

I also printed out proof of coverage for the Lincoln this evening. When I did that, I noticed that the Mercury was still covered. I wrote a note to make sure this error is rectified.

Cleaned and repainted my shoes. I have new shoelaces for them, too.

Recorded and released Verbal Surgery -1121- “Profoundly Good Person” this afternoon. Good one!
