Still seems hot.

Cleaned and refilled my feeders. I have six big ones. The hummingbirds are not drinking as much of it because only the juveniles are left. They’ll be gone soon. I change it weekly to keep the solution from fermenting in the heat.

Recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery called, “Water.” My batteries conked out on the last five minutes, so it’s also the “endless episode.” No way I was going to re-record forty minutes of podcast.

I’ll come in first place this week. Claire, who is third place, has been competing with me over the last five weeks. I’m sure she doesn’t like to see me in the same lineup.

Tracking my new shirts.

K and I had a fun time at Dr. Pat Barrington’s birthday party. She’s a good friend. It was fun to see Michelle and her kids there too.

I think this is the last cord we’ll need to fix up J’s new set up on her bed.

Not as hot today. Thunderstorms blew through. I don’t think we got much rain.

Ordered more handkerchiefs. Not sure why I run low. But they are a critical piece of kit.

I take a bag of trash out every day. About the same for recycle.

Started using my new hangars.

Took Nana to get her hair and nails done.

Miles didn’t come by. Jimmy thought he might.

I haven’t been impressed by the last bag of potting soil I got. Needs more perlite. I’m putting some of the plants in saucers to keep the soil wetter.

J’s therapist mentioned this new technology.

My new shoes don’t look so new anymore. Decided to paint them. I clean and dry them first.

I boiled water with oxyclean and soaked the shoestrings.

When I paint, I completely cover the shoes. There isn’t any raw leather showing.

Rain.

I ordered more shirts.

Needed more shoe paint. That stuff works great.

Big day for me on Duolingo. I went over 4,000,000 XP.

Deposited money into my checking account.

K and I went with J to her fibromyalgia appointment. We liked the nurse who helped us.

Cleaned my windshield. Again. Hard to get it looking good.

Washed my bedding. Pretty big job.

Went to Am Deli to get fried rice for me and Nana.

Hummingbirds are one of my favorites! It was always confusing exactly when the hummingbirds would head south. I found this article interesting.

Ordered groceries.

I noticed the cover for my forward facing cameras was looking dirty. After close observation and cleaning, I replaced it.

Came in first place last week in the Duolingo leagues.

The videos coming out of California due to the hurricane are incredible. The whole beach–erased! But the Atlantic has yet to produce a hurricane this year! What?

Last night I helped J put her monitor arm together and get it in place. I cut some plywood to help mount it.

I hope it helps J feel better and be more productive.

I’ve ordered another device called a Lumenate. It does brain entrainment patterns on the back of your eyelids. I’ve read really interesting effects with the device.

One of my new shirts looks like it was created by Mondrian. He’s one of my favorite artists.

The people I bought my last two shirts from gave me a discount code because of the month long wait.

This looks like end times stuff to me.

Every month or so, I bring my gallon jugs upstairs to fill them in the sink. I have nine gallons. I water my plants with those jugs.

Much cooler today.

Made bird feeder nectar. I have four 2 cup feeders and two 1 cup feeders. Plus two mini feeders.

I don’t bring all the feeders in at one time. Too disruptive for the birds.

I clean and fill them.

Then hang them back up.

Fall is here. Blow, blow, blow we go.

Dealing with the cords and putting them up properly is a tedious, yet necessary job.

Worth it.

My banana plants were looking a bit yellow. I decided fertilizer was in order. This is my second feeding in a few weeks. That stuff really stinks. I also fertilized the deck plants.

This was the owner’s home of the Toccoa Motel. Over 133 year old house.

We went to Golden Corral on the way home. We got potatoes for J.

I made the trip to Toccoa specifically to visit Metropolitan Artifacts and Antiques. What a cool place.

Went to Toccoa Falls. It was amazing.

As I was walking to the waterfalls, I took a shot of this and said it didn’t live up to expectations.

K and I went to the Hibachi Grill.

K and I went to Lake Toccoa. We were going to eat at Ping’s Grill, but I wanted to sit outside and see the lake. But it was too hot outside.
