I’m running my MacBook Air for the entire Show off of the battery. Seems to be handling it well.
Richard Feynman is one of my heroes. What a genius!
OYB!
The ride to work in the morning has been interesting. I’ve had a lot of driving through neighborhoods rather than on the highway. I like seeing all the plants starting to turn green and bloom.
I thought this was interesting.
I verified that my tax package had gotten to my tax guys. That’s always a relief. I paid $33 for an overnight delivery and they actually accomplished that. Wow.
Español! Just in case you wondered, that’s over six years without missing a day of studying Spanish. It has really paid off.
I always enjoy taking the teams on Safari. Today we ate at Hibachi Grill and traveled around Kitab bookstore, Al Madina grocery store and Global Mall. We went to the store that sells idols and to the Ganesha temple at Global Mall.
Listened to Don Cheto during the drive.
When I’m pressed for time during the weeks with teams, I’m just reading the sentences on Duolingo. I do repeat them in my mind, but not out loud while looking at the English sentence.
Had a great time with the teams at the missions.

Last night, I added a new folder to the Smugmug account: Teams 2026. It’s always a little bit challenging to remember the exact process annually.
OYB!
Since I’m riding to work by myself this week, I listen to Don Cheto.
Beautiful day.

New team on the horizon.
The folks at CD Tower have redone their space. I like the new layout.
Picked up the grandgirls and took them to the BHFM. P was hungry for Mac and cheese.
I just now wrote Dwight a text and sent him a picture.
Just keep going.
Had fun with the Teams today. Took them to eat at Pho 24. They loved the food but it was a pretty long wait for some of the 25 kids. They were good sports about it. We also went by Asian Square.
Sent a short audio message and a picture to my buddy, Carl.
Español!
So warm! Tied a record.
Sent a note to my health insurance agent Scott Deter about a message I got from Georgia Health.
I heard from one of my partners that she needed help at Azalea. She has a Vietnamese friend who is over 100 years old who needs her help from time to time.
Confirmed my eye doctor appointment with Ashley. Nana and J will come with me to also have exams.
Deepstash. I’ve enjoyed the quotes and synopses of books.
Do you think this map could be right?
Took K to her Lung Capacity test. She had to walk for six minutes. She did almost three before having to sit down. She’ll be on oxygen soon. That should help, although the doctor said she probably couldn’t tell the difference.
We saw some real deluges on our way home from Duluth. Not all that much hit us.
Fun lunch with Jon. We took care of some business as well.
Called about this check situation. No problem.
Wrote a consent letter for our new insurance man.
Checked the oil and got gas in the Lincoln. I’ll take K to a medical test tomorrow in Duluth. Wanted to make sure I have enough gas to start the week with the teams.
Mom got her voter registration card in.
Did some research on where I’m taking K tomorrow.
Deposited checks. Thank you, Father!
Sent Bill a letter for his taxes for the check he sent.
Keep going.

Checked for the exact number of people I need to prepare for Monday. Set up chairs for 35 people.
Do you like doing puzzles like this? It’s simple algebra. Y + X = 300. Y – X + 200. Do you know how to do the rest?
This choked me up this morning.
Also reviewed the three apartment locations where my teams will be working on Monday. I’ve been talking to the kids at the Mission about the teams as well.
OYB!
Yesterday, the trash bin and a mattress were at the curb. Glad to see the garbage guys take the mattress. That thing was pretty heavy and I wasn’t sure I could get it back up the hill by myself.
Español!
Called and talked to Bill Kelly at FBCD. I wanted to make sure I could set up for The Show.
Did the laundry.
Went to the Fellowship Hall at FBCD to set up for the teams. That involves putting the tables and chairs around the edges of the Fellowship Hall. I decorate each of the tables with one of the four themes we cover during the week.
I also put a name tag, marker, photo card and paper on each chair.
Last part of the set up is making sure that the doors are locked up properly.
After I finished at the church, I went to Azalea to help the kids with their homework.
There are always questions from the Teams.
Short pants weather.
Figuring out mileage numbers.
I’ve had a change of heart about being so competitive in Duolingo. I’m more focused on what I’m getting out of it, than a leader board.

I had a good chat with a NoZe brother friend of mine about bird feeders and life in general. Mike Hubbling is one of the smartest and funniest guys I know.
I saw a Pileated Woodpecker at my feeders today. So cool.
Ashley helped Nana find some better readers.

Took an old mattress to the curb using this wheel designed to move large trashcans.
We got a confirmation that the old Regions Bank account was indeed gone.
Deepstash.
Ordered groceries. J and Nana helped.
Got in touch with my buddy Carl. He’s at home but pretty tired all the time.
Watered my upstairs plants.
Went to my office at FBC Doraville to check the mail. The Pastor gave me a key to the office. I also checked out the photocopier machine. I’ll need to study up on it so I can make copies. I’m kind of excited about it because I prefer to tweak the settings to make the photos look better.
I set up a visit with the eye doctor for 3/27. I’m sure everything is fine. But just in case let the doctor take a look. The good news is that I had a full work up around two years ago, so there’s something to compare the report to. More data is better.
Ordered copy paper. I keep extra at FBCD for the printer.
K and I helped the kids a the Mission. P and E were feeling sick. I took them home and K stayed with them I went to eat lunch and bring them something back.
Picked up the groceries. There was quite a lot. Took a while to put it up. A lot of it goes to my Mom’s room which is at the far end of the house. Takes a little more time.
Loved these clouds.
I’m doing harder practice on Duolingo. Takes longer to do an exercise which equates to fewer points. Learning more is the point.

This might be interesting. Didn’t see any that I really wanted to go to that much.
Came in first place last week in the Duolingo leagues.
When the weather is perfect I often say, “It’s Nakuru Weather.” Turns out they really are quite similar at times..
I like this.
Got messages from two possible teams today.

Watered my downstairs plants.
Cleaned my glass door.
Helped my Mom pay bills and check her bank account.
Wrote my brother a note about ongoing charges to the closed account. Eventually, called our banker and she closed it for us.
Went to the Post Office to get my taxes in the mail. They no longer guarantee their delivery. Hopefully it’ll work. I got the most expensive option they had.
Ashley sent me the voicemail from the team leader. We don’t have her name on the website any more, but people still have her in their phones.
Confirmed a medical appointment with K for this coming Friday.
Listened to Don Cheto while I was driving.
Beautiful day.
Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Extreme Moderation.” Good one!
