My car’s AC hasn’t been working. I called T&G about it. K and I dropped it off at the shop last night. They found the leak. I’ll have to wait till next Friday to get it fixed. That’ll be my next day off.

Got the groceries. I’m trying to come up with better strategies. The last month or so I’m having to wait a pretty long time to get my groceries loaded into my car.

Spent some time reinforcing these pieces of paper with tape. I use it to block the sun off my face when I’m recording in my car. It hangs out the driver’s side window.

Had a fun time talking with my buddy Anthony this morning. We’re going to do a program together for Halloween on Sunday night.

Looking forward to the weekend. I need some rest. I’ve been exposed to some bad virus, I need to get plenty of sleep. I’ve been waking up around 3:30 AM and not being able to go back to sleep till around 6 AM. That’s not zesty.

Kathy followed me over to T&G. Dropped my car off. Needed to get my AC serviced. Hopefully, it just needs freon. Please. Let that be all it needs.

The grandgirls were sick today. Everly felt a bit better but was still running a fever. Ashley will take them to the doctor tomorrow.

Helped the kids with their homework. Three of them had big projects due tomorrow. Drives me crazy when they refuse to plan ahead. I didn’t leave the mission till after 8:00 PM.

Pushed my way up to the second place right now. There is some serious competition this week.

I get a tremendous amount of email about donating to Democrats. I’ve given money a couple of times, especially when it’s double what I’m donating. I’ll probably give one more time with the triple match.

Went to bank to deposit checks after processing them.

Had a good talk with my friend Barbara Hays. She lost her husband last week. Sad.

Went to Walmart to pick up candy for Halloween on Monday.

Sent a text to the manager of Azalea about having a party on Monday for the kids.

Dollar Tree for poster board for the kids. They’ve been needing it a lot lately for projects at school. I got more markers and construction paper too.

Everly came home sick. She had a temperature of 102.5. That’s not good. I immediately gave her some Tylenol. That seemed to help some. She also took a nap. Little sweetheart.

Penelope got her halloween costume in the mail. She’s a four-armed alien. Super cute.

I thought Maico did a good job on his project for Social Studies.

I scratched my sunglasses recently. Drives me crazy. Fortunately, Shady Rays has a lifetime replacement policy on the pair that I got. I have to pay about $10 for them to ship me a new pair. They are really good ones and it’s great to get new ones if I lose them or they get messed up.

Strong competition this week. I’m in the running. I’m hoping my best category comes up soon. That’s where I make the most points the fastest. Duolingo keeps changing the rules on us. Constantly figuring things out.

I did well in the leagues last week. Substantially more competition this week!

Went to the Dollar Tree to pick up supplies for the mission and started collecting candy for next Monday.

I thought this article on the top ten languages in the world was surprising and interesting.

Called my mechanics to ask them about my AC which isn’t working well right now. I’ll probably go take it in on Friday.

Went by my office to check the mail.

Talked with my Mom.

I let a family borrow my tables and chairs. Put them back up. I have five tables and twelve chairs. Many of the kids sit on the wall when we run out of chair space.

I was talking to the grandgirls about the angels that protect them. Downloaded some pictures of Gabriel who is my favorite.

Everly was complaining of a headache. I went to Walgreens with her to get some kid’s Tylenol.

Helped the kids at the mission.

I liked Genesis’ pictures.

The grandgirls are going to spend the night with us on Saturday. We’re going to take them to the Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain. Our Annual pass lasts until 11/1. It was Supa coo last year.

I love this time of year. The sunsets are fantastic from Azalea.

Refilled my water bottles and watered my plants.

Sewed a dress for Kathy after we went out to eat at MJ’s.

Deposited checks at the bank. Processed them and added them to our spreadsheet.

Gassed up my car and checked the fluids. My AC doesn’t seem to be working. That’s never good, even in the winter.

Kathy and I have been enjoying celebrating Jessi’s birthday coming up on the 24th. Today, we took her to eat Indian food. We got there about twenty minutes early. They went for a walk while I explored Indian culture. I got on a live video with my buddy Anthony who also loves that culture. I took him through several stores.

The food was delicious!

Pumped up my bike and went for a 19.31 mile ride. I wore my map jacket plus my light blue hoodie and was just about the perfect temperature. Yesterday, without the extra hoodie, I got pretty cold.

I’ll come in #1 this week. I doubt anyone can beat me. When I get so far ahead it’s hard for me to continue to push myself.

They’re shooting a show from the 40’s or so at Stone Mountain. The sign at the entrance of the set says “Black Carnival.”

Ordered some Burts bees. In the winter I use that stuff a lot.

I support democrats.

I put air in my tires before every ride. It’s something new for me once I realized that with the proper tire pressure the ride was easier. Today, I also lubricated my chain and wheels. I don’t do that very often. Isn’t required.

Rode my bike 12.81 miles. I felt cold. I’ll wear two jackets tomorrow.

It’s colder on a bike because of the wind. During the Summer it’s nice and cool. Tough when the weather gets colder. Soon, I won’t be able to bike as much. Too cold.

I listened to radio from Spain while I rode. They were having election debates. I heard the word “presupuesto” a lot.

Ordered a new iPhone holder for my car. The gears wear out over time and start to slip and get harder to tighten down. Lasted about a year.

One of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had at the German Bakery today. Wow.

Listened to radio from Spain.

Had a talk with my mechanic at T&G. My car was pulling slightly to the right. He said that’s not normally the alignment but an issue with a new tire. I had my tire guy switch the right and left front tires, both were new. Seems like the pulling has stopped, but I’m still doing test drives.

Wanted to expand my vocabulary dealing with tire issues.

Everly got her halloween costume in. Cool astronaut suit!

Brought the girls lemon squares from the German Bakery.

Helped the kids with their homework. They’re working on cell structures. I helped them develop definitions for their presentations at school. I simplified them.

They did great on the map project from yesterday.

Checked on the mail at my office. Got a big scare when the other staff were leaving. Didn’t know they were there. Suddenly this big guy was at the door. Wowzers.

Went to the Dollar Tree to get balloons and decorations and some small gifts for Jessi’s birthday.

End of day score.

Tuesday night I worked on figuring out part of a project for two of my seventh graders. I tried to do it with them on their computers, but they just don’t compare to my Mac. I printed up a few maps for them to use as a reference.

Got a text early in the morning that Everly wasn’t feeling well. She’s had a lot of stomach pains lately. Went over there soon afterwards.

Took the 46 pound of dry dog food to my storage can. Had to pump up the tires on the gorilla cart first.

Went over to Briggs Vision Group to pick up Everly from Ashley’s office. It was a super nice place.

Penelope is doing great at school.

Biggest news of the day was that Miles passed his big Arborist test! Super proud of him. That was a really hard exam.

Everly was so glad that I came and picked her up and took care of her today. She wrote me a nice love note. It was full of how much she loved me and appreciated me.

We went by the Dollar Tree to pick up some supplies that the kids needed for projects, then over to the Buford Highway Farmers Market to get some food. We brought a bunch back for Penelope. She was so happy about it.

We saw two big buses at the BHFM. Everly said, “They look like the teams.” She was right. I talked with the leaders about why they were there. They were from the Magnet school in N. Atlanta on a culture trip. I talked to them at length about where they should go. The teacher was super interested. Never know what will happen!

Penelope wanted some Takis as a treat after her food. These things are SO hot.

One thing I really like about helping the kids is continuing to learn. This map project on the French-Indian War and how it affected the shape of Georgia I found very interesting. I had no idea that the original shape of Georgia as a colony stretched all the way to the Pacific Ocean! I thought the kids did well on the maps.

Ashley and the girls enjoy doing puzzles together. They almost finished the 300 piece candy bar puzzle!

Went by my office to check the mail.

Listened to radio from Spain on the way home.

Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called, “The Solution is the Problem.”

Got a letter in the mail saying that the mortgage payment still wasn’t set up correctly. This is crazy. I’m going back in tomorrow morning. Super frustrating.
