Worked around the house. Blew the porch off. Ten minutes later didn’t look like I’d done it. Bahd luck.

Kathy and I went to the Zoo this evening.  We got there just before it closed.  Most of the animals were back in their enclosures.  It was still fun!

Then we drove around downtown.  Sure are some BIG buildings!  I liked all the lights.
With the shutter open I think the streaks of light are cool.

Kathy got a hankering for Varsity.  She told me she hadn’t been there for 40 years!  We got their onion rings.  Sure are good.  Just a tad of grease.

Today is supposed to be a rest day.

Worked on cleaning the house.

Finished up my email and calls.

Went for a 4 mile run.

Took some pix of the Fall trees.

Ash helped me do some grocery shopping this morning.

We picked up letters at my office at FBC Doraville.

Then over to help the kids with their homework.


I was glad that my partner Cathy Wilson and her daughter Debra came over to visit Rosena at the mission at Azalea.

Beautiful day and fabulous trees!  I love Georgia!

I had a great time today!

Jesse and I went to Clarkston International Bible Church where I led the music for the Wonderful Wednesday program for the ESOL students at Dekalb Tech. 

There were over 275 people present, the largest crowd ever!

Clarkston is an amazing place.  Come visit me and I’ll take you around there.  So many countries!
My partners from the Gideons came and distributed New Testament Bibles to everyone! It was so cool to see all those Muslim friends eagerly accepting the book of Jesus!

Went to my office at FBC Doraville to check on my mail and my plants.  Everything was cool.

Then over to Azalea to help Jouvan, Clinton and Mustak with English and Math.  Spent a lot of time with Joy, Bengali kid having school problems.  He’s doing better.  It’s hard for him to FOCUS.

First Baptist Atlanta, Dr. Charles Stanley’s church had their missions conference tonight.

I went over with my booth.  I’ll have the rest of the family with me this weekend, I hope.

It’s hard work standing there for 5 hours shaking hands and smiling.  Sometimes those cheek muscles get mighty sore!

I still really enjoy it.  It’s fun to talk with people.

Got home about 10pm.

Then homework!

I’m writing this from my folk’s house in Georgetown, Texas!

I’ve had a fantastic time spending hours with my Mom and Dad.  I always learn so much from them! 

They were having computer problems.  I worked on it to no avail, so I took it to the Geek Squad at Best Buy and they got it working just fine!

Drove about 450 miles today.  We went to visit with my Aunt Fief who lives in Uvalde, Texas.  She’s in the hospital.  Seems like she’s doing better.

I’ll write more when I get back to Atlanta and have some pictures to illustrate what went on!

Pray for me as I return to Georgia Tuesday evening.

It’s still dark outside.

I’m finished packing and I’m getting ready to head to the airport.

I’ll be leaving for Texas in a few hours.

Got up early to work on my financial report.  Turned that in to my treasurer this morning. Also wrote my end of the month checks.

I head for Texas tomorrow morning.  I’m trying to get everything done early.

At at Torreros for lunch with Kathy and Jesse.  K isn’t feeling well.  I think the babies she works with are getting her sick.

Went to my office to pick up my mail and check my plants.

I enjoyed throwing candy to the kids at the mission is one of the funnest things we do.  Funniest, too.  Moms rushing around picking up candy . . it’s a dad gum free for all!  Ladies in saris, picking up lemon heads with huge enthusiasm.

I saw Raphael Cruz today. I thought he looked great in his ROTC uniform!

I came home to answer my email and pack for my trip.

Hopefully, I’ll have access to the web to keep things updated.  Maybe not.

Today I focused on newsletters.

I got the camera ready copies and took them to Staples.  Today we made 265 copies, times two pages. 

We normally have three pages, but we included the new prayer card.  I wrote about Rosena having a baby.  Ashley wrote about her commissioning.  Good stuff.

I had lunch with Chris Skinner. It was good to catch up with him. Their ministry is having great success! They’re having some financial challenges too. Aren’t we all?
Chris is getting married in September!

Went to FBC Doraville and worked on writing notes on newsletters for a little over three hours and got the letters in the post.

Came home and ran 2 miles. Haven’t felt like exercising much. Don’t like cold weather.
