I had a great time with the leadership team for the Senior High and Middle School youth groups from FBC Trussville, AL today. I took them on Safari to the Buford Highway Farmers Market, China Town and Plaza Fiesta.

One of the guys got a haircut. They did a great job for him.

Ate at my favorite place, Taco Veloz.

Processed and deposited checks. Thank you, Father.

It’s the start of Everly’s birthday week. My Mom said she could open her presents early, so she opened one of hers as well as one from me. I got a couple for Penelope as well.

Took the girls to Cici’s for pizza. They gave us a whole cinnamon roll tray for her birthday! Awesome! We had our fill and shared the rest with the kids at the Mission.

Helped the kids with their homework.

Talked to Ashley about getting her final paycheck from Whirlwind squared away.

Got K a new phone case. Her old one was worn out.

New week, new competition. Pretty much always new people.

I thought this was interesting.

I had a fun chat with my friend Amit in England today. He’s doing well.

Listened to Don Cheto while I rode my bike 12.56 miles. I was understanding big chunks of the conversation.

Got a new case for K’s phone.

Part of the game I’m playing has to do with getting parts so I can upgrade the robot dinosaurs.

Went to the Dollar Tree to pick up supplies for the party on Saturday and get some balloons.

Pumpkin season coming up! Blue pumpkins? What?

Went to Walmart to pick up some bananas and treats for K.

My water hose burst this week. It has a lifetime guarantee. I’ve replaced it eleven times. It happens so often that I use 50 ft hoses instead of the 100 ft I originally bought. That way I only have to replace half of it. The one I originally bought was super heavy duty. It still burst after about a year.

The new one I got today is contractor strength. Hopefully, it’ll last a while.

Santa already? Crazy.

Wrapped presents for Everly’s party. Also got three things for Penelope.

One of the fun things about playing Horizon Forbidden West is riding robot dinosaurs. This is one of my mounts.

Gassed up my car and checked the oil.

Interesting sticker.

Ate Mexican food with K and got gifts at the Dollar Tree for the grandgirls.

Went to GoodWill to get a few more things.

Pretty hot today.

Watered my outdoor plants. One of my little rosebushes had died because it’s been so dry. Made me feel sad. Hardly any rain the last couple of weeks.

Ran the sprinkler on the grass I transplanted to the front yard.

Also watered the plants on my deck.

Cleaned the bird baths and refilled the hummingbird feeders.

Recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery called, “Anti-Anxiety” and put it on Facebook.

Don’t stop.

Fun chat with Anthony. He was really cracking me up today.

Laundry!

.60 mile walk with Jessi.

Biked 9.03 miles. Hard ride. Felt out of shape. Was still glad that I stayed off the bike to let my arm heal up.

Listened to Don Cheto while I rode.

I see this lagging behind of kids with their school work literally every day.

I’ve really enjoyed playing Horizon Forbidden West again. Such a gorgeous game.

During the night, I try and record what I remember of my dreams. Always a fun adventure.

Had a fun lunch with my buddy, Jon Paul today. He’s always a blessing.

I got the letter that Everly wrote to Kyndal in the mail.

I had a conversation with my new friend Spencer Jones today. If all goes well, he’ll be bringing about 100 people to Atlanta next Summer.

Still super rich.

Nice today.

Picked the girls up at the bus and got them something to eat. We then went to Azalea to help the kids with their homework.

The kids are still decorating envelopes for me.

It’s great to get in touch with my friends from the old days. Joe Dickey and I have known each other since I was in sixth grade in Nairobi! I’m looking forward to seeing him and his wife when I’m in Georgetown, Texas to visit family and go to Baylor.

Walked 1.74 miles this morning with J.

Picked up the girls at the bus. Took them to McD’s and then to Taco Veloz.

Heard from supporters who bought some gloves for the kids for the cold weather. That project was super popular last winter.

Worked with the kids at the mission. I like their art.

J and I had a good talk with my Mom on the way home.

Picked up and put up the groceries.

This sort of thing has got to be making the Russians super upset with Putin. Especially since the recruits are barely trained and they just send them into the Ukrainian “meat grinder.”

Looks like it’s going to be cloudy this evening. I’ll probably go check it out sometime this evening.

Everly’s packages have started to come in.

Everly got picked up this morning by Ashley. I think she’s just sick of school, not really sick.

I got in touch with my buddy, Joe Dickey today who lives in Austin. I’m hoping to connect with him while I’m in Georgetown, Texas.

Drizzly this morning.

Had a good chat with my buddy, Anthony.

Don Cheto, although he wasn’t on his show today. He had the other three people doing the show which isn’t nearly as good.

I met Ashley at Azalea to pick up Penelope. She already had Everly. I took them all to Cici’s which was Penelope’s choice.

I sure get tired of this drive every day.

Checked the mail at my office.

Good talk with my Mom.

Checked the oil in my car. Right on the money. I had added some the last time I filled up, but where I was parked was on a slant. I wasn’t sure if it was an accurate reading.

Just keep going.

Because of J’s doctor appointment, I missed my usual hour of work one day last week. I still came in the Top 10.

I had the plumber come over to check on my sink. I thought there was a crack in the stainless steel. He said it was from where his saw cut the sink when he was getting the old faucet out. I’m looking into how to buff the scratch out.

I got a couple of small chips in my windshield. I used this Rain X product before. It did a good job.

J and I walked 1.79 miles this morning. I thought this flower was beautiful.

I had a good chat with my Mom this morning. We are trying to work out when I can see the rest of the family and supporters while I’m in Texas. My brother Jim will pick me up and hopefully we can arrange a time to see his grandgirls while we’re in Austin.

Everly was excited to see a note from her friend Kyndal in Tennessee.

I sent a picture of Everly reading it to her. Everly started working on a new letter while she was at the mission.

Not too much homework today, but the place was still packed with kids.

New week. Keep pushing. I’ll definitely come in the top three this week.

Because of my arm injury, I haven’t been riding my bike. I’ve been walking with Jessi instead. Walked 1.76 miles.

Everly got a letter from her friend Kyndal.

Listened to Don Cheto while I did yard work. Blew the driveway and deck.

Did my laundry.

Cleaned my toilet. The Japanese believe that when you do that, you get good financial luck. Huh.

Cut my hair and trimmed my nails.

Internet maintenance this evening.

This week and the next two weeks the Diamond Tournament on Duolingo will be taking place. Lot of motivated people.

Ordered inserts for J’s shoes last night. They came in today.

Yesterday, one of the jugs of water that I use to water plants started leaking. Eventually, the whole gallon drained out and was absorbed by one of my rugs. I started drying it out last night. Smelled pretty bad. This morning, I got more of the rug up in the air and put two fans on it as well as opening the door to get some fresh air in the room. I also used a wax melt to make it smell better. Turned out fine.

J and I took the girls to the Reptile Expo today. We had fun, but every other table had stuff for the girls to buy. That made it a lot harder for me to enjoy. The last Reptile show J and I went to had nothing like that.

They liked the 3D printed toys.

I thought these were cool.
