Beautiful day here in the ATL.

Went to Stone Mountain to record Verbal Surgery. Always enjoy doing that.

Rode my bike 7.12 miles.

I got caught by the rain.

Had this little butterfly visit me today.

I don’t know what this crew was doing but their truck looked cool.

Been enjoying practicing with these weighted throw ropes.

I washed my tennis shoes and colored them. These are my work shoes. I also wear them to ride my bike.

Beautiful day.

Watered the front section of my yard room trying to get some grass to grow.

Started practicing with my throw weight.

I marked off every 10 foot. I’m interested in seeing how high these branches are that I plan on cutting off.

My zebra skin was kind of beat up. Spent some time retaping the little tears in the skin on the back with duct tape.

Rode my bike 15.20 miles. It’s good to be back exercising.

I got in the silica gel to try out drying flowers.

Started playing the Last of Us 2 last night. It’s an amazing game.

Grandgirls! Doggie Park! Camping! 6.17-18.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 4:44 pm

I studied Spanish and did my brain training.

Grand girls came over Wednesday morning.

We took them to the dog park to play. It just opened up two days ago.

Penelope helped me vacuum.

We had a great night camping last night. They each got to take a few things into the tent. I asked Everly, “You really need that guitar?” To which she replied, “Pop Pop I need to jam!’

We made a campfire and roasted some marshmallows and have s’more‘s. That was a huge hit.

I tried to teach them about making a teepee with the sticks to get more air into it.

It was the first night ever for them to spend the night outside. Was a little scary for them since it was pretty dark, but they overcame it. I left a headlight on so it wasn’t so scary.

It got down into the fifties last night. We had enough cover to make it all work but I was surprised by how cool it got.

Thursday morning we got up with the crows waking us up. Ashley and Miles came to get the girls around 10 AM.

Ordered groceries.

I took all the tent stuff down and put it up. Didn’t sleep much last night so enjoyed resting today.

Watering my grass seed.

Fixed a door knob.

Tried to do my Spanish study today but Duolingo wasn’t working.

Yardwork! Grandgirls! Tent! 6.16.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:18 pm

Over the past few days I’ve continued my study of Spanish and doing my brain training. I

Watered my plants.

I’ve gone to Walmart to pick up groceries brought them home and got them cleaned off.

I’m looking forward to using this device. It’s called a portable chain saw.

I want to trim branches in my yard. Especially the ones over my roof.

I’ve enjoyed working with the grand girls this week.

I made a big start on transplanting some monkey grass from the backyard to the front yard.

Transported a squirrel.

I’ll do some grass seed with that as well.

I got a tent and air mattress to start camping with the little girls. Will practice in my backyard a few times before we do anything extraordinary. It’s always fun to teach them new things.

We picked up kindling for our campfire tomorrow night.

Always great fun.

Deposited checks.

My newest project. Growing grass.

Zoom! Pruning! Camping! 6.13.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:39 am

We had a good session on zoom this morning with a missions group in Texas.

Ashley did a great job.

Beautiful day today.

Got good news!

Worked outside pruning bushes.

I’m getting into a bonsai look where I’m pruning the bushes to look more like trees with long trunks and then a canopy. It’s an interesting I think Asian look.

It’s a lot of work to get the roots out. Over time, it gets better and better.

You have to have the basics.

My new favorite tool: small sitting stool.

I’m preparing to transplant monkey grass from my back yard to my front yard. It’s the only type of grass that seems to like the shade.

Studied Spanish and did my brain training this evening.

Worked on getting some basic camping supplies together. Tent, air mattress, tarp, cooking stove, usual suspects.

When I was younger, I used to sleep outside in a tent for weeks on end.

I’m looking forward to introducing the grand girls to the camping experience.

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:02 pm

Been studying tree climbing recently. I’m interested in trimming some of the branches off some of my trees. Not real high up off the ground. Curious to see how hard that would be.

It was a beautiful day today.
