I did my usual brain training and Spanish study this morning.

Watered my plants.

Enjoyed time with the grand girls, Kathy, and Jess. We had pancakes at IHOP. Was very good.

My back is hurting today from all the strenuous yard work. Didn’t spend as much time with the grand girls as I normally do. I struggled to pick them up at all. Still a good time together.

Gas on the way home.

Helped the kids at the mission. Big group today.

Checked the mail and dropped off the newsletters to the secretary.

Gassed up my car.

Came home and blew the driveway and the the deck. It looks like almost all the leaves are blowing off the trees. That’s good news.

I brought my carnivorous plants in this evening.

Went to Westside Baptist Church this morning.

Pastor Ben spoke about the words from Christmas.

Cleaned off the battery terminal this afternoon.

Did a 17.02 mile bike ride. Beautiful weather.

Came home to rest. My back was a little bit sore after all the raking yesterday.

Studied Spanish.

I did my brain training and studied Spanish.

Released a new edition of Verbal Surgery! Also recorded an episode.
“Thanksgetting” is awesome.

I wrote and produced my newsletter. Printed it up.

I’ll take it to the church on Monday morning to get it photocopied.

Went to Walmart and Lowe’s to pick up supplies for doing my newsletter and yardwork today.

Cleaned the gutters and blew the roof off. I used a piece of PVC pipe tp clear the heavy stuff out. Then blew.

I found a weak spot in my roof. I need to get my roofers to repair it.

Also cleaned the front driveway and cleared the leaves away from the side of the house. Was a mammoth job.

I’d blown some leaves onto the road. Got those wicked up.

Also hauled some sticks off.

My cars battery hasn’t been acting right. It works fine as long as lights in the car not left on or anything. The negative terminal has got some corrosion on it. I’ll work on cleaning that up tomorrow. Should work better then.

My back feels sore after all of that yardwork. Took a hot bath that made it feel better plus ibuprofen.

I did my brain training as well as studied Spanish this morning.

Checked the office.

Kathy and I took the girls to Chamblee.

We had a picnic and played at the new park.

The girls had a lot of fun and so did we.

Ice cream!

Talked to Bill Kelly about getting this sheetrock repaired.

Came home to rest and play Borderlands 3.

Blew all the leaves off my driveway.

Had a great Thanksgiving lunch with the Mitchell‘s and the Kendall‘s and Doverspikes. Nice to relax this afternoon.

Rained over 1.5″ last night.

Studied Spanish, practiced brain training.

Penelope’s fourth birthday! Took the girls out to Cici’s.

It was great to see Miles’ parents again to this evening.

We had ice cream cake that she picked out. Vanilla on top, chocolate on the bottom, with crushed Oreos in the middle. Yes, it was as good as it sounds. Ashley wrote the wrote the word “SPECIAL” under Happy Birthday.

I got her a bike from Goodwill then went to Walmart and bought safety equipment.

I think she was really enjoying the accessorizing. Family is a blessing.

I replaced the tube in the front bike tire of Penelope’s new bike. It was a fun project, rife with opportunities for learning.

Also added air to Ashley’s tires.

I told her about screws and bolts and the difference between the two. . .I’m sure most people know that. And why you have metal screws and wood screws. I was getting her to understand which screw would have to be made of the harder metal? I’ll ask which material was harder wood or metal? Then I’d ask her which screw would have to be harder because of that material. It really is astonishing how fast she can figure things out. It’s very exciting to see young minds developing.

I’ve enjoyed resting the rest of the day plus binge watching Shooter.

I did my brain training and Spanish this morning.

Went to Evergreen Lake to record a podcast and also to write my newsletter.

Since I injured my hand, I find it easier to talk to text on my phone and then go back and edit with just single tapping. Seems a lot faster. And then I copy this text and put it on my blog as well so it diminishes how much I have to type.

I blew leaves from the roof today at my house.

Then blew them off the back porch and driveway and garage areas. It’s a massive job. I have a heavily wooded lot. Which is great for shade in the summer, but not so great in the winter with all the leaves.

I did a 6.92 mile bike ride.

I had my under armor on as well as warm ups and my bike pants with light jackets and heavier jackets to keep me warm on my bike ride. Overall, I was pretty comfortable. My hands got a little bit cold.

I should’ve worn my gloves. Absolutely gorgeous weather and tree colors are astonishing.
