Walk! PEK! Azalea! 2.13.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:43 pm

It’s the first time I’ve watched almost the whole Super Bowl in probably fifty years. I’ve been following the Chiefs for a few months. I really enjoy the reels on Facebook of Jason and Travis Kelce. I remember him talking about feeling bummed out that he didn’t get to give Taylor a bracelet he made for her with his phone number on it.

Much cooler and really windy in the afternoon.

OYB!

Español!

Looking forward to meeting with Buck soon.

Hiked 2.26 miles.

Got the MSC forms and a letter for K’s brother in the mail.

Looks like about 2 3/4″. It was slow and steady. Pretty much all day long. I’m sure the plants were digging it.

Jessi and I talking about new projects.

K and I took Penelope and Everly to WH.

Deposited checks. Thank you, Father. I really appreciate it.

New fire extinguisher at the Mission.

Told the kids a Bible Story.

Helped with homework.

The kids enjoyed making bracelets for their families.

Washed my comforter. I’ve learned how to wash it at the laundromat at Azalea. Getting it dry-cleaned was expensive and kind of a hassle.

Rain! Batteries! Podcast! Azalea! 1.12.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 2:06 pm

Kathy and Jessi will have to reschedule their cleanings.

OYB!

Contacted my treasurer Jon Paul about the Board Meeting this Saturday.

Español!

Jessi is still having trouble with getting onto her blog. I need to call Bluehost and try and figure it out.

Ordered groceries.

Worked on the documents to continue my assignment with the North American Mission Board.

Rained most of the day.

Had a conversation with Pastor Bill Cordrey about the NAMB documents.

I got a couple of replacement batteries. Two of my old ones take several days to recharge and then discharge very quickly. They don’t last more than a couple of years if used a lot.

Kathy came with me to help the kids at the mission. We are enjoying the “Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza” game.

Emailed the new director of our local association to set up a meeting with him. He will be the one who will sign off on the NAMB forms for the GBC in the future.

Picked up the groceries at Walmart on the way home. Took a long time. Lots of customers and only one guy bringing them to us.

Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Promo Code.” Excellent.

Checked my calendar. I have a meeting with the staff from Peachtree Corners BC on Thursday. Looking forward to that.

Anthony! Walk! Super Bowl! 2.11.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:13 am

Worked hard. Came in the top three. Amen.

OYB!

Warmish!

Español!

Fun chat with my buddy, Anthony!

Walked 2.98 miles.

Vocab.

Watered my upstairs plants.

Washed all my bedding. I plan on washing my comforter tomorrow.

Really enjoyed watching the Super Bowl this evening. It’s the first time in years that I’ve really rooted for a team and then they win! The Falcons let us down when they were there.

Roopville Road BC! 2.10.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:29 pm

Got up early, read my Bible and headed to FBC Doraville. I set up for The Show in about forty five minutes. I enjoyed having the team from Roopville Road BC hang out with me! I took them to eat at Pho 24 and on Safari to Asian Square and China Town. Then to Azalea to work with the kids!

Great to have them at the mission!

Walk! PEK! Azalea! 2.7.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:05 pm

I just found out that the big Chinese New Year is this Saturday! I have a team in town so it’s really great timing.

OYB!

Colder today.

Español! I studied an extra long time today. Walked 3.47 miles 24 hills.

Added transmission fluid. It needs about 1 fl oz of Merkon transmission fluid after every time I drive to Chamblee.

Brought the trash bins back up to the side of the house.

Went by Young World to pick up Kathy’s pillow and a library book.

Picked up food for J.

Went to the Post Office. K wrote twenty Thank You notes to our supporters. I got stamps for them and got the letters in the mail stream.

Went to the bank to deposit money. Actually walked up to an ATM. I hardly ever do that. I use the drive up ATMs. It feels safer to me.

K and I took the girls out to Waffle House.

Washed and dried J’s comforter. Brought detergent in a ziplock.

Helped the kids with their homework. The girls have really enjoyed having Grandma there. She gives them a lot of attention and she’s a great teacher.

Fun with friends.

The light was perfect. Love my girls!

Watered my plants.

Push. Feed the neurons.

John! KPE! Azalea! 1.6.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:14 pm

Coyote alert in our neighborhood.

Vocab!

OYB!

Beautiful weather.

Got groceries last night. The bananas were hiding under my seat.

Español!

Walked 1.62 miles.

Mileage.

Had a good lunch with my Pastor John Weldon.

K came with me today. She’s still having a hard time getting around. Pretty much uses the walker all the time.

Helped the kids at the mission. We enjoyed a Bible story together and had a prayer time.

She was wearing her Nana t-shirt. That’s what we call my Mom.

The kids liked the books.

Love my girls.

Looking forward to my team coming this weekend.

Checked the mail.

Español! KPE! AZ! 2.5.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:01 pm

Came in #1 out of thirty people.

I liked this from Eric Barker’s blog.

OYB!

Had a great talk with Pastor Bill Cordrey. He’s always a blessing to me.

Español!

Hiked 2.20 miles.

Ordered groceries.

Made J some sandwiches.

Kathy is still using the walker. She came with me to Chamblee today. We picked up the girls and took them to Taco Veloz.

Helped the kids at the mission. I was glad K was able to help Penelope.

I’m helping one of my middle schoolers learn about basic geometry. It’s pretty intimidating. Not for me, of course.

I look forward to this.

Went by my office to check the mail.

Picked up groceries.

Looks like a serious group.

Westside! Español! Podcast! 2.4.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:09 pm

OYB!

Español!

Colder, windy and turned wet.

K and I went to Westside BC this morning. Hard for her to get around but she did pretty well with her walker.

Pastor Devin spoke on the international nature of the Gospel. I’ve been practicing translating in my head what the pastor is saying into Spanish.

I got two new Spanish versions of the Bible to check out.

I also enjoy looking of the derivations of words.

Also looked up some words in Spanish.

After church we ate at El Guero next to Publix. I also picked up some meds for J.

Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called, “Physical Magic.” Excellent!

Hard to be humble when you’re #1.
