Español! Anthony! Podcast! Yard Work! Biden! 7.21.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:13 pm

It’s crazy how fragile the network is.

I think Biden will go down in history as one of the best presidents in modern history. It’s astonishing how much he got accomplished. I think him stepping down is the right decision.

Last night, I edited the video I shot and sent the final email to the team. Now I consider the job checked off.

Ashley got some new furniture last night. Now the whole family can sit down. Yeah, baby!

Sprinkled intermittently.

Had a fun chat with my buddy Anthony.

Recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery called, “The Off/On Switch.” Excellent!

K and I went out to eat Mexican food. I took a prescription to Publix to fill for J. While I was there I saw two weird things: blank cards and scam alerts.

The pots I planted the flowers in were not draining. It took the drill to fix that problem.

Cleaned and refilled the hummingbird feeders and bird baths.

Trimmed some trees, bushes and weeds.

Swept the carpet.

Cleaned up the St. Francis shrine.

A little of 2″ of rain over the last couple of days.

Rainy day.

This is outrageous.

I’ll be working on this insurance issue on Monday.

Love my girls!

We were about 1.5 hours early for the team. I set up for the Mexican presentation. I let the girls play after they did some math. They enjoyed drawing.

I found this old picture of me from when I was doing media in Zimbabwe. The grandgirls had no idea who it was. My beard is mighty white these days.

After The Show, we went to El Torreros for lunch. In the past, I’ve taken teams to Plaza Fiesta, but it never really works out that well.

Then on Safari to Plaza Fiesta!

I really enjoy the Middle School age teams. They are super enthusiastic.

We went back to the church to put all my gear up and then to QT for drinks and a treat. We deserved it.

Don Cheto on the way home.

Restoration Church! Global Mall! Azalea! 7.19.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:26 pm

Had a great time with the team from Restoration Church in Alpharetta, GA. Took them to Hibachi Grill for lunch and on Safari to Global Mall and China Town.

Even though it was hot, we still had a good crowd of kids at the mission.

PE! Six Flags! 7.18.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:05 pm

21 Pilots is one of my favorite bands. I found out a couple of day ago that they have a new album. I’ve really enjoyed “Clancy.”

Oil spill after rain. One of my favorite subjects to shoot.

One of my fasciatas are blooming. Incredible.

Almost all of my Drosera Sundews are also blooming. They have super tiny flowers.

I’ve had issues with YouTube crashing my Mac Air. I tried what Apple suggested. Didn’t work. Eventually had to just restart the machine.

An interesting question.

I started researching the map of Six Flags over Georgia last night for our trip this morning.

The girls got all their clothes ready last night. Everything is a discipline.

They woke up around 8:30 AM, super excited about the 6 Flags Safari.

The girls were raring to go!

We left around 9AM, had a quick breakfast at McDonalds, and drove straight to the park. Cost us another $30 to park our car, which was $5 cheaper than Six Flags parking lots. We were some of the first people to enter the park.

We drew while waiting for the park to officially open.

We did most of the kid’s rides.

The Daholonega Mine Train ride was too intense for them.

I spent $19 to get an all day drink cup. That was a pretty good deal.

Pretty good fake.

I think the Monster Mansion was their favorite.

It was hot, even though I’ve been there when it was a LOT hotter. We hardly had to wait for a ride ever.

We sure were tired at the end of our visit.

It started to sprinkle. They shut all the rides down.

We really had planned our trip perfectly.

Took the girls home. Had a fun chat with Miles.

Listened to Don Cheto.

Big thunderstorms in our area.

Gassed up the Honda and checked the oil. It was about 3/4.

Confirming with the manager at Azalea that I had followed up on the insurance for the mission and sent in the check on July 5th.

PE! School! 6 Flags Prep! Crazy River! 7.17.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:04 pm

Don Cheto research. Sent an email to the show. Checking to see if it works.

The girls love playing with Jessi!

Tiny little pop up storm blew through this morning. Weird rain with sun.

School.

Got our tickets for 6 Flags over Georgia this morning. We plan on being early to the park.

K and I took PE to the Lazy River pool. We also had fun swimming laps in the grown up pool. I hardly ever take pictures at the pool, I’m always afraid I’ll get my equipment wet.

Bigger storm blew through after we got home from swimming.

Finalized on the prayer card.

That’s a lot of death. Wonder how many were actually involved with Hamas?

Research on contacting Don Cheto.

My girls!

The lights in the living room of the mission wouldn’t turn on this morning. They got it fixed.

School work. They were less than enthusiastic this morning.

Went to my office to pick up checks and process them.

Deposited the checks.

K went with us to Waffle House this morning. Balancing practice.

Put the new tag on K’s truck.

Got an electronic kit for the girls and J to work with.

Still applies.

We went to the library this afternoon. I liked this sign. They had this taped to the floor which the girls had fun with.

Rained hard at Stone Mountain. Lots of people were getting soaked.

We enjoyed swimming at Evergreen and using their gym equipment.

PE! Monkey Bar Park! Taco Veloz! Miles’ Car! Transplant! 7.15.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:16 pm

The price hike wouldn’t be so bad if the service was any good.

These are four of my favorite shows in Español.

I’m trying to figure out how to contact Don Cheto.

This word is very useful. I’ve only recently figured it out.

My girls. How I love them.

We did our studies. Their attitude wasn’t great because they had to get up extra early to take Miles to work when he couldn’t get his car started.

Took the girls to the Monkey Bar Park. They were complaining that their hands had gotten soft. It’s been too hot to let them go there.

QT for slushies.

We enjoyed a visit to Barnes and Nobles. The kids really didn’t want to go but it turned out to be super fun for them. Except I didn’t buy them anything.

Delicious juegos rancheros at Taco Veloz.

I took the girls home and when Miles got home we got his car jumped off and took the loaner back to Save a tree.

Deposited checks. Thank you, Father.

Went to Walmart to get some big pots and potting mix for the frangipani and the young banana plants.

Some powerful thunderstorms just missed us to the North. We got some sprinkles.

My priority outdoor job today was to get the hummingbird feeders cleaned and refilled. I put birdseed in the feeders and changed the water in the birdbaths.

I dug up the dead banana plants and prepped the soil for the new plants.

They look happy.

Frangipani was hardest to transplant. It didn’t have the root structure that I expected. I still managed to get it out and put it in the pot I prepped for it. She can probably live in that pot of years.

I moved the bromeliads to the north side of the driveway.

Cleaned and put all the tools away. I still need to weed whack that area.

Gloves were washed and now drying with a fan.

Came in #4 last week on Duolingo.

I resemble that remark.

Keep working and get results.

Prepped for bike ride.

Listened to Don Cheto while I rode.

Biked 12.53 miles.

I’ve been working on getting prayer cards. Decided to get 600 for $200. That should last a while.

I sent a picture of an old card along with the logo, layout and instructions.

I’ve been listening to this album. Really good.

Keep going.

Birthday! PE! Van Gogh! Pool! 7.12.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:03 pm

Stayed up until midnight to see the birthday in. 66. Wow.

I have a friend who lives in Houston without power. Bummer.

OYB!

I really enjoyed this. All in Spanish.

Sprayed more fungicide on the pink magnolia. Seems to be doing better. I need to trim the foliage near the bottom.

Birthday boy with his girls.

Love notes.

Keep feeding neurons.

Enjoyed Waffle House then practiced balance.

I like to splurge a bit on my birthday. I took the girls to the Van Gogh immersion experience. It was really cool. He’s probably my favorite artist. Did you know he was color blind? What?!

We did the VR experience which was also really interesting. We were actually embedded into the paintings.

We also colored a picture of Starry Night and then “posted” it on the exhibit wall.

I’m always telling the girls, “Spend your money on experiences, not stuff.” I practice what I preach. Last year I took them to the Illusion Museum. It was also amazing.

We had the whole Doraville pool to ourselves for at least thirty minutes. Those girls wore me out swimming laps in this huge pool. We raced. I got creamed.

Don Cheto.

Deposited checks. Thank you, Father!

K and I went to Provino’s this evening for my free birthday meal. I also went to Always Fresh before I came home to get my free meal from them.

I may get edged out of the top three this week. We’ll see.
