I’m working on my Christmas project which includes a CD of my newest project BetaPrayer. Making sure I have enough ink, cds, labels et al. is a big job. Went to Staples this morning to get what I needed.
Jesse and I went to Cafe Istanbul where I had lunch with a buddy of mine from my TV days at WTOC-TV in Savannah. Blair Meeks worked here in Atlanta for years.
He’s with a PR firm now. He seems to be doing really well. Always fun to hang out with friends!
J and I went to the office to check on mail, then over to visit with Bayo. I’m trying to help him clarify his vision for the orphanage in Nigeria. It’s hard to think of everything.
Then over to Azalea to help the kids with their homework.
Back to work on admin and projects!
It’s a good life!
I thought this was an odd place for a cemetery.
I bought Jesse some pure gold!
Never too much Ashley!

This morning I went to pray at Stone Mountain. Fantastic!
After prayer, I went to Staples to buy materials we need for our Christmas gift project. We make a family calendar.
When I exited the store I saw this car.
Jesse and I ate lunch with Dr. Bill Blanchard, our pastor from FBC Mountain Park. Always enjoy spending time with him.
We bought the fish for Jesse’s tank today. GREAT! Two little convicts in a whole 50 gallon tank. They’ll be plenty of them in there before long.
Went to Willow Branch to help the kids with their homework and for Jesse to teach his guitar class.
Working on my financial report for my treasurer and the Scanning/Archival material. Interested? Go to the Tim’s Books section of Whirlwind Missions.org. Are you N the Loop?
Peaceful.

I’ve been looking forward to this day for weeks! Today I got to hang out with Pastor Museli Ngonga of Fountain of Life Church on Canton Road in Marietta.
Museli is from Kenya! In fact most of his church is Kenyan. So I got to speak some Swahili. Amen!
We had a good turnout at the Outreach Event at Concept 21 Delk in Marietta.
We served food, had a rap band, played with balloon animals.
Fun time!
My back is still sore from the digging and the lifting weights.
I’ve been reviving some of my old “lost” work. These documents were in a box somewhere and I recently found them. My book “Scribes” was in a neighbor’s attic for years. He bought the house two years ago.
I have some pretty cool stuff that I wrote while living in Kenya: N the Loop.
Plus my Master’s Dissertation, a novel called “Scribes–the Lord’s Dog.”
And on a more technical note, I found my document that I wrote in 1993 while working at WTOC-TV. It’s a field guide to shooting news. If any of you guys are interested in working in the news business it’d be worth your while to check it out.
So after my day of outreach, I come home to baby a scanner that is using OCR software to slowly get my old hard copy books into a digital format. It’s a huge project.
I know it sounds weird, but I’ve nearly been killed four times. I just have this feeling that my life will end suddenly. I feel an urgency to leave something behind.

Sent Ashley a text just after midnight. She’s a “grown up” now. Whatever that means.
Went to Stone Mountain this morning.
Ran four miles on the elliptical trainer.
Enjoyed a beautiful day.
My back’s a little sore from working out on weights yesterday.
Working on the BetaPrayer project. I’ll have details and downloads for you soon.
I reckon this is true.

Even though Jesse was only feeling “70%”, when he heard that Ashley was coming, he joined in!
Never too much Ashley!
We took her out to one of her favorite places to eat: Vikhyat, Indian food.
Awesome, baby! I always enjoy speaking to the Patels in Swahili. They’re from Nairobi, too!
We went over to Huntington Creek. I dug out the playground legs that had sunk, jacked up the whole playground, set these big stones in sand and lowered the playground back.
It’s safe and works! The ground is like a swamp where they put it.
We drove over to Borders to pick up a copy of Milton’s “Paradise Lost” for Ashley’s Lit class. She’s just finishing up Hamlet.
I thought this was funny. Although not necessarily true.
Over to Azalea to work with the kids.
Then back home to pick up Jesse’s car from the shop and start working on homework!
Tomorrow Ashley turns 21!
Tim A. Cummins @ 9:32 pm
We had 3″ of rain yesterday! Excellente!
I left Jesse asleep in his bed this morning. He’s been sick. Sore throat and fever. He just told me he was feeling better this evening. AMEN! Pray for my wingman!
Started out in Clarkston.
I led the music for the Wonderful Wednesday service at Clarkston International Bible Church for the Dekalb Tech ESL classes. Always a hoot.
Here’s the message, in any language. (This one’s Amharic from Ethiopia)
Picked up Bayo Otiti. We dropped by Huntington Creek to take a look at the playground swing set that was having technical issues. On close inspection, I realized that really what was needed was to level up the one leg that had sunk, and put a pad underneath it for support.
Not sure yet whether I’ll have to anchor the pole to the pad or not yet.
We went by the Sheila and Eduardo Zamora’s house.
Also met with Jennifer Johnson, a MK from Brazil.
We had a wonderful lunch and prayer time together. I think that Jennifer might get on board as a NAMB missionary. I think that’s great. MKs are a natural fit in our ministry, since we’re from another culture too!
Bayo and I cruised over to Lowe’s to pick up the supplies for the playground repair. Hopefully, that’ll be no big deal to fix.
I dropped him off back at the Terraces, then over to Azalea to go help the kids with their work.
Some of the really have to think to get the answers.
Trees are beautiful.
Tim A. Cummins @ 7:04 pm
Not feeling that great today. Tired.
Been working on my new book project: BetaPrayer. It’s been fun really focusing on prayer over the last few weeks.
Rainy day.
Didn’t go into Chamblee today. Flood warnings advised me against it.
Ashley and I did the grocery shopping.
Not sure why anyone would name their cat “Moo Moo.”
