Run! Labels! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:17 pm

This morning I took our Sugar dog out for a run. We did our 2.25 mile circuit in fine form! A lot cooler than it has been. Had to get my jacket on.
t
J and I went to Walmart to pick up some painting supplies.
p

Also went to Staples to pick up more printer ink.
s
Made phone calls to partners setting up outreach for this weekend. We have teams in 4 locations in Chamblee. We’ll have some others with a partnering church the end of April. We’re making sure we have that organized as well.

Worked on getting the newsletters ready. Printed up the labels, got stamps and had the kids help us put the letters together.
p
I worked with several of the children at Azalea going over multiplication tables and addition facts. I had a talk with one of the kid’s moms about her son’s progress. I told her that I wasn’t going to help him do homework that he obviously wasn’t capable of doing until he had his multiplication tables down. Otherwise they’ll just keep giving him harder and harder homework, and he will obviously not be able to do it. She seemed to understand.

It was great to have the whole family together working at the mission!

Came home to work on admin duties.

Just got off the phone with a dear brother of mine who is going in for surgery next week. Please pray for him. The Father knows who you’re praying for!

Also remember to pray for Ian North as he heads off to Nepal Friday that he’ll have a safe trip and stay healthy!

AMEN!

I liked this bumper sticker.

Ian! Penang! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:51 pm

Had a fun day with two of my favorite people: Jesse and Ian!
i
We met for lunch at a Malaysian food place called Penang. Groovy!
p
s
It’s always good to hang out with Ian. He’s been doing exceptional work at the mission as well as with his writing. We had a good prayer time together for his trip to Nepal. He heads to Asia this Friday. He’s already got his bags packed!
b
Pray for him while he’s trekking in the Himalayas!

I got to see Ruthie before we left Huntington Creek. She’s always a winner!
r

J and I also went over to Azalea to help the kids with their homework.

j

Kathy met us over there.

Lot of work with the kids. Gets really tiring doing drills with them. Can just about make you lose your mind. And with me, that’s a short trip.

Run! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:01 pm

Got up and got some exercise this morning!

Although I walked at least 5 miles a day in London every day, I didn’t run. Today I got in a 2.25mi run. I’ve found I have to start out with shorter distances when I get back into it or I start developing problems. Ran, had a great time and feel like a dad gum Tiger Tank, baby!

Spring is doing its thing! I love to see the Azaleas start to bloom!

Kathy and Jesse joined me at Azalea this afternoon.

Super wild day. A couple of my loudest kids were pushing the envelope in volume. Now when *I* say someone’s loud, brother you know they’re loud.

Did get through most of their work.

Spent about an hour just helping Fahim. His English still isn’t all that great and he needs a lot of help getting his work done.
f
It can be pretty frustrating for a high speed guy like me.

I helped another kid and came back to my seat. This was waiting for me.
t
I reckon that’s why I keep doing it.

Came home to owls hooting in my trees. I like to practice my barn owl calls, because many times they answer me!
o
He’s in there, somewhere!
Kathy says, “I like to hear you talk with the birds.”

Groovy!

I liked this tiny little red lichen. Beauty surrounds me!

Check out “Reigning Yourself IN” We stop ourselves from being the very best we can be.

And “Trikes to Bikes!” How learning can be sped up, dramatically!

This afternoon Jesse and I went over to Azalea to help the kids with their homework.

Forms! BDay! Pix! 12 Stone!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:27 pm

This morning I was back to working on forms for funding our ministry. Takes a lot of time to do, but it’s necessary!

Had a fun birthday party for Izzy!
i
She’s Miles’ niece. Feels like she’s a part of our family. It’s amazing to me that she’s already three!

Came home to take family photos. We’re out of Prayer Cards. We gave away about 5,000 in a year. My goal is to take over your refrigerator. Here’s the picture we’ll probably use!
c
Then over to Chamblee to catch up with my team from 12 Stone Church in Lawrenceville. They did a wonderful job at Azalea, Chamblee Heights, Shallowford Gardens and Pearl Lane.

Back in the Saddle!

Tim A. Cummins @ 4:50 pm

Nearly 2 1/2″ of rain while I was gone!
r

Got up early and started plowing through all my work on Thursday.

Fortunately, I was able to keep up with the email duties while I was in London.

Still have forms to fill out for funding for some of my partnering churches.

Enjoyed going to Azalea with Jesse. That’s always fun.
j
s

Helped Nishi with her adding.

m

Great to see the kids again!

Had fun spending extra time with Jesse today. He helped me wok on my computer. We ate at Red Robin then hung out at the book store.

Back to admin duties now.

What the heck is that for? Bald fatties?

Buckingham Palace with fancy pants gates!

He wasn’t impressed by my wit.

The Beefeater liked me better!

Doubt I’ll update the Blog or Facebook while i’m gone.

Pray for my safe travels and that I’ll have many opportunities for learning and growth!

Pray also for the teams coming to work for us and our staff to carry on doing the Lord’s work while I’m away!

Love you guys!
