Jeff!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:43 pm

Had fun today with one of my mentors, Jeff Stephens.
j
He’s the closest person I know to the Mentalist on TV.

I know many of you have read about my interest in brains and neuroscience in particular. Jeff is on the cutting edge of getting rapid results with people seeking change. I’m looking forward to spending more time with him this weekend along with other therapists. What’s your feeling about the word “hypnosis?”

Self-hypnosis has helped me enormously with stress and learning languages in particular.

He’s a great Christian brother and his work has helped me have an even more powerful prayer life. It was fun hearing about his background. He was even a street preacher at one time. My kinda guy!

Did some shopping and banking when I got home.
t
Spent a fun evening watching the French film Coco Before Chanel with Kathy. I love watching foreign movies. Really helps get my brain into foreign language mode. C’est formidable!

I was sad to see that our neighbors had decided to move. They preferred renting and their landlord (my old neighbor) needs to sell it.
h
The only bright side as that they took their cat with them. It’s killed a lot of birds in the neighborhood. Especially in my back yard! Wasn’t happy about that.

I love the beautiful trees in my neighborhood!

They were a lively bunch!

My prayer is that many of them will partner with us in reaching the International community around Metro Atlanta!

Came back to the house to pick up J and K and then over to Azalea to work with the kids!

12 Stone! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:41 pm

This morning I tried to record some new podcasts. Had some issues with the sound card on my new computer. Jesse is trouble shooting it. Hopefully, we’ll get it figured out soon. Glad I still have the Vaio as a back up! Slow, but runs! I can do everything else on my new computer. AMEN!

Had a meeting with one of my partners from 12 Stone, Brad Chahoy this afternoon.
12s

Here’s Brad with some of the kids from Azalea.
b

I took him to a couple of the missions in Lawrenceville and introduced him to the management. Looking forward to getting those guys mobilized soon!

Picked up Jesse and Kathy from the house than went on over to Azalea to work with the kids.
s

f

Great to have help!
j

l

k

Lots of homework!

Melissa wanted to show me her green tongue!
m

Back at the house now for admin duties!

Glad to see construction picking up in Atlanta!

Ian! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:30 am

Had a fun lunch with two of my favorite men: Ian and Jesse!
i
We went around the sites where we will be doing service projects.

We’ll be helping Sequoyah Middle school around their property and library as well as some of our local apartment complexes.
s

Should be plenty of work!

Jesse and I were met with a new friend JoVahn who is here visiting from Jacksonville, FL.
j
Glad we had her help today!
r
k

m

n

e

Jesse was practicing his weight lifting by raising up some of the kids. They loved that!
j
jj

Also delighted that all my chairs were back in the mission! Praise the Lord for that!

Some of the kids wrote me notes.
g
n

Came home to work on admin duties and enjoy time with Kathy! We watched “5 Minutes of Heaven.” It’s a story about the war in Ireland and how it affected families. Interesting, but not exactly a happy movie.

Love sunshine through trees!

Financials! Greta! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:59 am

Spent most of the morning working on my financial report. Ay, caramba.

Had lunch with Kathy and J! Excellent!
k
Kathy hasn’t been feeling well. She’s kind of weak.

Also made calls and emails about my teams coming the next two weeks. Putting the finishing touches on the service projects they’ll be tackling.

Met up with Greta Wilson this afternoon.
g
She’ll be bringing a team in from Kentucky the end of June! Should be a great team!

I took her on a visit of the International Village. Most people are amazed by this area. She was no exception!

J likes the bullfrogs! Me too!
f

Big ol’ pig skin!
p

Then over to Azalea to help the kids!

We ran into a problem. I’m too dad gum nice.

I let people borrow our chairs or tables for their events. Unfortunately, I’ve been taken advantage of more than a few times. Today was the worst. We had a mission full of kids and only 5 chairs. I wasn’t happy.
m
Hopefully, everything will be back to normal tomorrow.
Improvise, Adapt and Overcome!
j

Can you tell what they made the chairs out of?
a

j

It’s always great when my kids come back to see me. I’ve known Abisai for about 12 years.
a

Grown up, looking good, doing well in school, planning on college. . . staying out of trouble. When I see things like that I feel like maybe I really am doing something right.

POURED down this evening! Don’t think I’ve ever seen the mission with that much rain ever.

Finished up my report this evening.

Beautiful Spring trees!

I love this tree on their campus!
tr

Got home around 10pm.

Time for admin duties! Early morning tomorrow as I need to be back in Roswell by 9:00 am!

Even though I know that, doubt I’ll be able to go to sleep any earlier than I normally do, which is around midnight.

ME day! Plus Post!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:06 pm

I stayed up till around 3am last night finishing up the newsletters.

Got them in the mail this morning. AMEN!
po
Had about a half inch of rain last night. Excellent!
r
Every once in a while I need a ME day.

That normally means I eat at Red Robin and hang out at Barnes and Noble for a couple of hours.
t
Groovy!

I enjoyed some time alone reading and watching people.

Then to Best Buy to do some research on video editing software.

I’m getting severe sticker shock over these gas prices! Yow!
g

Also did the family shopping. Saw some friends at Kroger. Seems like at least once a day I run into someone I know from some church I’ve spoken at.

I guess that’s why I’m secretly famous.

I finally found blank cassette tapes in the 60 minute variety!
ta
I’ve been making regular tapes to one of my best friends from Baylor for over 30 years! I reckon that shows how extraverted I am. Even when I’m by myself, I love to hear myself talk.

Ran about 2.5 miles this afternoon. Beautiful weather!

Admin duties and then hanging out with Kathy this evening.

This should be the job of the church.

Newsletters! J&A&M! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:54 pm

Hauled some big trees that had fallen in our back yard to an area I’m filling up this morning.
t

Went to Staples to make copies for the newsletters!

Went over to Walmart to buy some supplies for the mission.

Not sure what makes bubbles “miraculous.” Any ideas?
b

Or what makes vapor action “advanced?”
a

Bought some bird seed. Every time I look at the millet I think of my trip to Niger in 2007. This is basically their food!
m

Saw this Smart Car in the parking lot. Groovy.
s
Can you believe it runs on premium gas?

Always happy when the sunscreen starts making an appearance!
ss
Warm weather is coming!

Had fun meeting up with the kids for lunch. Always a blessing!
am
Worked on writing notes to our supporters this afternoon. Then J and Kathy and I went to Azalea to help the kids.
j

t

Melissa always tries to scare me with this face. Think it works?
m
m

Looking forward to a day off tomorrow. Hopefully, I’ll get the letters written tonight.

I’m working on my new computer that Jesse built me tonight. I call it the “Flying J.” Groovy!

I liked the clouds this evening.

Doug! RUMC!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:57 pm

Had a fun day today hanging out with one of my favorite partners, Doug Allison!
d
He’s doing a great job directing the missions in Villa Rica! He’s a blessing!

I took him out to eat at Cafe Istanbul, one of my food faves!

Man, those cats can cook!
s
Went over to Super 8 to update the owner/manager information for our web site.

Then to Roswell for Roswell United Methodist Church’s Mission Conference.
r

I have some great friends at that church. I’m really looking forward to the weekend with them.

Mike is the Missions Director.
m

I enjoy speaking Swahili with my Kenyan friends.
k

I got there a bit early. I like some of the antique stores in the area. This lion was out front of one store.
null

I resonated with this old sign.
s

And this.
r

I don’t see these very often. It’s from my alma mater: Baylor University.
b

I saw this sign on the side of a truck.
f
I wonder what they do? I reckon they’ll do it tomorrow, whatever it is.

This made me lol.
s

I wonder what’s trying to come up here?
p

Beautiful evening!
t

WOW! Three pictures of Tim in one post! What a blessing!!
