Georgia Mountains!
Kathy and I had a wonderful time to get away for the weekend!
We always look forward to our TK weekends.
We did a LOT of exercise. We rode the bikes for miles and miles. As well as hiking up some of the local mountains. From the summit!
Interesting erosion.
It is such a beautiful place and the weather was awesome.
There was a circus in town.
We had fun checking out the animals.

This car was completely rebuilt. Except for the exterior!
I thought the labyrinth at St. James church was fascinating.

We visited Camp Pinnacle while we were there. Beauty!
I also enjoyed checking out the antique stores in Dillard.
I bought this antique globe from the early 40s. I collect old globes. Know my criterium? Tanzania has to be Tanganyika. It changed its name in 1964.
And also this recorded cylinder from the Edison Recording studios. It’s the earliest type of recorded media.
Got both of my new treasures for $20, so I was happy!

We hiked around Warwoman Mountain. We liked this chimney.
And this saw blade.

I thought this one looked like a python.
This spider was bigger than the palm of my hand. I thought twice before sticking my hand down as an example.
We also explored an old cemetery for blacks outside of Clayton. Penland Cemetery had some cool stuff.

We ate at Oinkers for lunch today. Excellent BBQ!
I liked the old RR station at Tallulah Falls.
Fun trip. But glad to be home!
