200,000! RIP! Family Church! HOPE!

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:15 am

There’s something about big numbers. Today my Chrysler Concorde went over 200,000 miles!
2
A special shout out to my friends Carl and Pat Barrington who gave that car to our family six years ago. What a blessing they have been to our family!

Ironically, another car they gave us, more than TEN years ago, finally died a peaceful death taking Ashley and Miles to an encampment in Tennessee to tell over 100 young people about Jesus. The Lumina was a trusted a valued vehicle to our family. She will be missed!

HOT day today!

Ashley and I did our briefings for our team from Alabama today!

Family Bible Church came back to work with us again this year. They’re doing a GREAT job!

They did a great job and at least one of my Muslim kids accepted Christ as their personal savior! AMEN! I’ve been praying for her for years.

Got home about 10:30pm this evening. LONG day!

Great to have the family there!

Kathy and I had a fun time at Clarkston International Bible Church this morning.

Pastor Phil preached from 1 Cor 13 . . . .the love chapter. He did a great job!
p

This Saturday, I’ll be performing a wedding with Katie Mitchell and Tommy Stiffler and I’ll be preaching from that chapter too!

K and I went to lunch at the Kathmandu restaurant in Clarkston. We ate there about two years ago and didn’t like it. But today it was awesome! I talked to them about the changes. Apparently, there was a new owner and that made all the difference.
k
f

Working on getting the dvds that I edited and burned to disk to the teams from last week. I like to get that job done asap. That’s the final piece of work before I consider that team assignment complete.

I’ve enjoyed flying my chopper around the yard.

I liked this image. Reminded me of me and God.

Came home for an hour to rest, then went to Oak Forest apartments in Scottdale to work with my HOPE team from Westside Baptist Church. I love Pastor Ben Lehman. He’s such an intense guy! Reminds me of someone I know. ; )

Poured down rain and powerful lightning when we first got there. But after about 20 minutes it stopped raining and we were able to share with the families that had gathered there.

Home now working on admin duties. I edited the video I shot for the Colquitt team before I went to the mission at Oak Forest.

Looking forward to rest and church tomorrow.

I heard from Ashley. She and Miles had a great time with the kids at the camp and they were settled in for a rest at the hotel. Good to hear that! No matter how old she gets, she’s still my little girl. Love you, Ashley!

Never seen this before!
g

It’s been rainy. Means mushrooms. I saw these near the church. Never seen this type before.

Buddhism! Farmers Mkt! Gateway! Colquitt!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:07 pm

I did my briefing on Buddhism this morning. Missed Ashley being there! She went to Tennessee with Miles to speak at a camp for kids. Sadly, the car had a problem, had to be towed back to Atlanta, and then she and Miles jumped in our other car and headed straight back out! Made a long day for her!

After my briefing I took them to CD Tower.

Colquitt County! Gateway! Plaza Fiesta! Missions!

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:15 pm

Rained last night. Got about 1/4″. Our power went out for about 30 minutes. That’s not zesty.
r

Edited the video for the Bridge Church!
e

Ashley and I did our “Take the Church, To the People” and “Logistics” briefings PLUS a briefing on Catholicism as it’s practiced in the International Village.
a
That’s because we had a new team from Colquitt County! FIVE churches near Moultrie in S. Georgia partnered together to bring a wonderful group.

Feeling tired. Tomorrow starts another team! This one will be in the evening from 6-9pm. Makes for a long day! Pray for me!

Ashley and Miles are going to speak at a Youth Camp in Tennessee this weekend. They leave tomorrow morning and will be gone till Sunday night. They’ll be missed! Pray for their safe trip!

With the rain comes mushrooms! I love these tiny little shrooms.

Gateway! Madina! Global! Missions!

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:28 pm

I just read on the web that we had the hottest temperature ever recorded on the planet today! 121F in Marrakesh, Morocco. Yow! That’s hot even in the shade!

Our team from the Bridge worked with another ministry this morning, but we still had the team from Gateway! This has been a great team!

We enjoyed giving our briefings.
a

Then on to Al Madina. Sadly, no samosas to snack on. They had a gas problem in their kitchen. Abdul also told me that Ramadan starts this Friday. Didn’t realize that. It moves 10 days forward every year.

Just finished a radio interview with Mark Edge, one of the hosts of Free Talk Live. FTL is one of, if not the largest podcast on the internet. We had a great talk. He’s a fan of my show, so that always makes it easy. www.VerbalSurgery.com. If you haven’t listened to my podcasts, you’re really in for a treat.

RUMC! Antiques!

Tim A. Cummins @ 4:49 pm

This morning I went to Roswell to work with one of my favorite churches: Roswell United Methodist! They had a good team show up to the event at Frazier Street Apartments.

We got all set up to hand out Popsicles, some invitations to a new church plant and some tracts in Spanish.
d
Then it started to drizzle. A few minutes later it absolutely POURED down rain! Wow!
d

d
We stayed for about 20 minutes and I made the decision to reschedule. Even if it did clear up, no one would come outside, it was just too wet.
d
d

We had a good prayer time and then left to come again another day.

Went by the Roswell Street Antique store. It’s a favorite of mine. I think Roswell is a pretty cool city. I always see something different!
