Indian! Newsletters! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:42 am

Woke up with my ears feeling kind of stopped up. Talked to my doctor about whether I need to get on meds or not. I’ll go in Saturday for her to check me out.

I thought I had a lunch appointment today. Some kind of miscommunication I guess. It didn’t happen. Part of the problem is that when I got my new phone it merged some of the contacts. That’s not good. I’ve also seen that it dropped some of my appointments from my calendar. That’s REALLY not good. Just hope it all works out and I don’t miss something!

I enjoyed going to eat Indian food with Ashley and Jesse.
m,
We talked a lot about the mission teams coming. Always fun to think about.

Went home to work on my November edition of the newsletter. Got it written and laid out and sent it to our friend Joel Harrison at the Atlanta Metro Baptist Association to print for us. THANKS!

Went to the mission to help the kids with their homework. The projects are really coming together. I had to go Hobby Lobby to pick up some supplies for some of the kids. I sure thought we had enough for everybody. I saw this while I was there. I’m a chapstick addict. (Actually Burt’s Bees.)
c

I had to paint the foam balls I bought today.
b

They’re doing a great job!

Jhoan finished up the Berlin Wall project. I think he did a really good job on it!
j
b

Came home to run. Did a personal best for longest distance. Ran 6.82 miles in 1:24. Pretty quick for an old guy!

Enjoyed watching TV with Kathy. One of our new favorite shows is making the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Stuff looks really hard to do!

Looking forward to riding bikes with K tomorrow. She’s going out of town for the weekend with her sisters. I have to stay in town. I have a conference at Perimeter Church I have responsibility for. Sometimes it’s good for the sisters to get together!

This is what happens to bad backseat drivers. Fatso is my haloween decoration.

Car! Bank! Shopping! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:45 pm

Took care of a lot of errands this morning!

Worked on a new hypnosis video to help people to get to sleep. If you have a problem sleeping, check it out!

Went by the Post Office to pick up stamps for the newsletter this month. They’re frm the Civil War. Many of the kids are studying that now. I always try to make the stamps be educational.
s

Also put gas in the car. GLAD to see the prices coming down!
g
Took my car over to T&G to have them check out the engine light that came on. It’s a sensor problem that they’ve looked at many times. Crazy computer. Probably runs Windows. Warning light is off now!
l

Did the grocery shopping for the week and picked up some supplies for the mission. Also picked up a cake and numbers for Jesse’s party at the mission tomorrow!
c

Printed out the labels for the mail out. The kids are always good about helping.
a

Did some banking. I love it that I can use the ATM for almost ALL my banking needs!
b

Worked on the 5th grade 3D cell project. Glad Ashley and Jesse were there to help too! They cut and prepped the little foam globes for the kids to use.
f

Helped kids with their homework.
d

I went to the store to get some foam boards and cut them for the kids to mount their projects on and and put a key to the parts of the cell on it.

Gave them doughnuts to say THANKS!
d

d

Sugar enjoys all the attention. Sadly, some of the children are really scared of her. 99% of them LOVE that little dog and get great pleasure of walking her around the complex. But a couple are scared so we hardly ever bring her down there.
s
I gave Ms. Penny a new computer. She’s been a huge help at the mission!
p

Enjoyed working out on weights this afternoon.

Watched a couple of episodes of the Mentalist with Kathy this evening. We had fun talking about the refugee kids she works with. She’s really great with them!

j

Kathy saw some of her friends at church.
k
Came home to rest. Needed it.

Worked on a new podcast!

I love this one! It’s called Border LION! It’s about where we place the borders in our lives and how to cross them into new ways of living victoriously!

Flew my chopper around the yard for a bit.

Went to go visit my dear friends Jon and Linda Paul in the hospital. Linda is doing better. Keep praying for her.
e
Had fun watching TV with Kathy this evening.

Run! Jesse! Shopping!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:43 pm

Had a fun day exercising!

Ran 6.38 miles, which is longer than I’ve run in years. And felt GREAT!
t

I know that a lot of that is thanks to losing nearly 20 pounds.

I enjoyed listening to the new Toby Mac album “Eye on It” while I ran.

It was beautiful outside. I loved the flowers!

Bike! Dredd!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:58 pm

Did some research on pain centers in Atlanta. Sent some of them an email about my willingness to do a Pain Control seminar. We’ll see what they say.

K and I had fun biking 7.49 miles to Stone Mountain today!
l
It was a beautiful day, but really windy!
t
Jesse met us at the Bird Sanctuary and then we all rode over to Crazy Ron’s for BBQ. My favorite!

Came home to rest and enjoyed playing some video games.

K and I went to see Dredd this evening.
d
She ended up watching Nemo. Definitely NOT a chick movie! I liked it. Cool special effects.

After we got out of the movie, we got a call from a neighbor that they had found Sugar! Crazy dog keeps getting out of the back yard. I’m still not sure how she’s doing it. Glad she’s home.

K and I watched the end of our French movie “Afternoons with Margarette” tonight. Very sweet ending.

Fun day!

I loved this azalea!
a
And these caladiums.

Pain Control! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:53 pm

This morning I worked on admin duties.

I enjoyed lunch with Kathy then went to talk with retirement homes and physical therapy centers about a seminar I’m doing on pain control.

I’ve been blessed with language skills. When I use these skills in certain ways, the brain reframes perception. Hypnosis is like telling a story that takes you to a different place. After you’ve been there, even if the story is in a book, you never see the world in quite the same way. It’s amazing to me that just by talking you can give people real relief.

I look forward to doing some free seminars soon. Over time I hope to be able to generate more income for my family.

Enjoyed working with the kids this afternoon at the mission. Always fun!

I liked Sanjida’s hand.
h
I thought the lovely brown skin and red fingernail paint looked beautiful.

Went shopping with Ashley and Jesse at the Farmer’s Market for Ashley’s Halloween party on Friday night.
p
Is that a jumbo pumpkin or what?
p
It always amazes me just how creative Ashley is. WOW! What a daughter!
f
s
She came to my house to pick up Halloween decorations. Skulls, brains and skeletons are a daily decoration for me! I LOVE anatomy and neurology!

Enjoyed a delightful dinner with Miles, Ashley and Jesse at Ashley’s house. Kathy wasn’t there, she was enjoying riding her bike at Stone Mountain.

K and I watched part of a film in French this evening. In English it’s called “My Afternoons with Margarette.” In French the title is “A Fresh Head.” It’s about a gardener who starts to learn to read again. I love listening to other languages.

Admin duties now.

Video! Podcast! Run! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:28 pm

Worked on a new video for the www.VerbalSurgery.com website. This one is about Losing Weight! I think it’ll be popular!

Also worked on a podcast! Heart WARMING! Want to be loved? GIVE LOVE! The more you warm other’s hearts, the more you warm your own!
p

Here’s my recording studio!
t
p
It’s a good one. Just click on the title!

Got some good exercise!

Biked 6.39 miles and ran 5.48 miles. I like my new RunKeeper app on my iPhone! Talk about exact! It also shows how many calories I burned (nearly 1,000) and how fast each went.
t

It’s a beautiful run.
r
I liked these mushrooms.
m
And this hibiscus.

Pain Control! iPhone5! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:49 pm

This morning I worked on some flyers for a Pain Control seminar I’ll be doing at some local retirement homes. I have a special place in my heart for helping Seniors!

Took the financial report over to my treasurer’s house. THANKS to Ashley for generating that!
f

Went for lunch with Ashley and Jesse!
a
Then over to Perimeter Mall to look for some equipment for Ashley’s Mac. We got our money back but have to order the cable on line.

Ashley brought me my new iPhone 5 today! Went to the ATT store to get my new phone activated as well as change my old iPhone 4S into Miles’ account/phone number. GROOVY! I love my new phone!
p

Jerome did a great job setting it up!
j

Helped the kids at the mission today. They’re testing, so there’s not a whole lot of work going on.
a
a

K brought Sugar to the mission. The kids love her!
s

Picked up my car on the way home. It was leaking antifreeze out of the reservoir tank. If it’s going to leak, that’s the best place! Also had the dome light repaired. It was a hassle in the dark.

Back home now to work on admin duties and to sync up my new phone with all the applications it had on it.

Good day!

I like the sound of this!
