Rained a little over 1/4″ on Friday.

Saturday, I put the final touches on my sermon.

Decided which verses to use and created the Power Point presentation.

Went for a 5.05 mile run. Always something beautiful to see!

Enjoyed lunch with Miles and Ashley, Kathy and Jesse! Great to see them back from Costa Rica!

Saw Tomorrowland with Jesse. Just an ok movie. It was really aimed at kids. I don’t know why I didn’t get that memo.

Replanted my calancho from Madagascar.

Enjoyed watching the Mentalist reruns with K.

Made sure I had everything I needed for Sunday morning in the car.

Went to bed early.

Sunday morning fired up about preaching.

Went to the Dollar Tree on the way to the church to pick up more notecards and pens. At the end of the my sermon on prayer, I have everyone sign a card with a name of a person they’ll be praying for. They turn it in to below the picture of Jesus that I brought.

Great time at church!

I think Jesus looks great.

I love speaking and encouraging people to pray is my favorite subject!

I really try to give the congregation and experience with Jesus!

I’ll be editing the video I shot this morning to put on YouTube. Also shot the couple that sang the special music. I’ll burn a dvd for them and post a video that they can put on their web site.

My flowers by the mail box are looking good!

Friday morning, I went to the Post Office.

Got our newsletters in the mail. K and I finished folding them Thursday evening.

Came home and worked in my yard.

Mowed the front yard.

Then used my new weed whacker.

And finished up with blowing.

Recorded the audio version of my book Power Prayer—The Right Way to Pray.

I’d already recorded the four prayer sessions.

Enjoyed a late lunch with Jesse. He’s living in our house for a week while the Chinese team is working at Azalea.

Watched Super Nanny with K.

Saturday morning I put all the files in one location, made sure the titles were correct and added 20 of my favorite episodes of Verbal Surgery, 10 videos from Story Tim and my online book of my proverbs which is about 450 pages long!

Ashley and Miles got back to the ATL around 1:30am! GREAT to have them back in town! They came by to pick up their sweet pup Moogie. K and I will miss her.

The new Wired magazine has Yoda on the cover! Yeah, baby!

Had a rest then went to eat a sub.

Put a package together for a friend of mine living in Australia.

Went to Chamblee to pick up our newsletters. Got poured on by the rain.

I managed to keep the papers dry. No easy task!

K and I watched Supernanny and folded the newsletters and stuffed envelopes.

Watched Obama on Jimmy Kimmel.

Over an inch of rain Tuesday.

Wednesday, worked on shopping for groceries.

Picked up stamps for the newsletters.

Got the mail for Whirlwind at the church.

Then went to Doraville to meet up with a new partner Mateo from Mobilizing Students.

We went on a recon of missions in Sandy Springs. We have a team coming to work with us in that area this weekend. Set up two missions. Including a new one at Highland Circle.

Came back to Chamblee to visit the kids at the mission at Azalea. Also worked on the labels for the newsletters.

Had to finish the job at home because we ran out of little envelopes.

Sad to say a final goodbye to the Chrysler. After over 250,000 miles, the engine was just worn out. Better to get her recycled than just sit and rust in the yard.

Kathy and I had a relaxing Memorial Day. We went out to eat for lunch. No family around. Didn’t like that.

Vacuumed the house.

Wrote some checks for our graduates!

Sprinkled rain.

Enjoyed the new Mad Max movie with Jesse!

Watched Gambit with K. Useless movie, didn’t even finish it.

Tuesday morning, I met up with Ben and Liz Birdsong from Birmingham, AL. I took them to Al Madina to eat.

It was fun taking them around the International Village. We checked on some places where their team could eat.

Finished producing my newsletter.

Sent that by email to our friend Joel Harrison at the Atlanta Metro Baptist Association.

Admin duties now. K should be home soon.

My violets and orchids are blooming.

Paid bills and got them in the mail.

Went to the Post Office to mail something to a friend in the UK.

Shopping at Walmart for groceries.

Beautiful flowers there.

Put a new bathmat in my tub.

Saturday I was a political activist. There’s a proposed new subdivision near where I live. They want to build 120 small houses in the last green space in our area.

I made a flyer.

Went to Staples to make copies of the flyer.

Got on my bike and rode over nine miles distributing over two hundred flyers to the residents in the area nearest to this change.

I included the email address of our Planning Committee Representative.

Hopefully, more than a few people will email our rep and let him know this idea is unacceptable.

K and I enjoyed lunch together and watched American Ninja Warrior.

Sunday morning, we were up early for Sunday School at FBC Mountain Park. K and I went to speak to the Co-Ed 7 class that has supported us for years.

We enjoyed the service, too. Brother Richard preached today.

I’ll be speaking next Sunday at Westside Baptist Church in Snellville.

Resting at home and working on admin duties now.

I liked the sound of this.

Can’t wait for the new Star Wars movie!

I enjoyed a fun lunch with Jesse and Kathy today!

Worked on paying bills.

Restful afternoon.

Wrote a letter to distribute to our neighbors about a proposed new neighborhood that I’m against.

Watched the Judge with K this evening.

Thursday, I got up at 4am to take Miles and Ashley to the airport.

I got home around 6am. Rested until around lunch time.

Went on a 4.98 mile run.

I’m preparing to do a letter distribution in a few neighborhoods where developers want to put another 120 houses. I’m against it.

Memorial day weekend!

Made calls. Set up to speak at FBC Mountain Park this coming Sunday. Always fun.

Enjoyed time with K. Watched Elementary.

Went to sleep early.

Ashley enjoyed her presents from the UK! She especially liked the baby clothes that Kat Jacquin had gotten for her.

Ashley and Miles got ready for their Costa Rica “BabyMoon” holiday!

After lunch, I went downtown! Don’t do that much!

I went to see Todd Rundgren last night. Great show!

DamFunk was the MC for the show. He was awesome.

I picked up Miles and Ashley at their house this morning around 4:45am.

Took them to the airport. They’re on their way to Costa Rica!

I painted my new luggage with a gold band to make it easier to see. The shape of the case is also pretty easy to spot. Super light, plastic styrene case.


We visited with our friends the Jacquins who live in the Midlands of England in Derby.

They’ll make a mini-Tim about 8″ tall. They took a picture of me with 52 different cameras.

Got back to the ATL on Tuesday evening. Got home about midnight.

Wednesday morning, I caught up with some phone calls. I can take care of about 95% of my admin work wherever I am in the world!

Had a fun lunch with Jesse and Ashley. She filled me in on the details of the teams in town while she and Miles are out of the country.
