I read from my Stoic book as well as from the Persian author Rumi this morning.
I still do daily reading from my One Year Bible. I’ve read the whole Bible over 32 times now!
I went through my notecards to check on Verbal Surgery titles.
I always carry five 3×5 notecards folded in half with a pen clipped to them in my pocket. It has my to do list, Verbal Surgery titles and thoughts of things I need to watch or research.
I studied Spanish and did my brain training.
I enjoyed a song by a 1000 person choir this morning called “Sing Gently.”
I planted a little sprig of bamboo that came off the mother plant.
Redid my birdfeeders.
Rained about an inch last night.
I enjoyed talking to my friend Caruso from Italy.
Had a good chat with my buddy Anthony in the UK.
Recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery.
It was another hot day. Very humid. I rode at around 6pm which was a LOT better then riding in the full sun!
I sent in a grocery order.
I looked up some plants.
I noticed this little patch of contrail in the sky. It was weird looking.
I rode my bike 15.26 miles.
I listened to about an hour of Marcus Aurelius and then to Radio from Madrid.
The holder for my water bottle on my bike came loose during my ride. Put another bolt on to fix it.
I’m downloading Spiderman from my PS4 library. Thought it might be fun to play again.

Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Just Me.”
Auditory excellence!
I’ve been reading Stoic material in particular Marcus Aurelius. That’s been fun.
Redid my hummingbird feeders.
I went to Stone Mountain to record this morning but it was completely blocked off because of a potential problem out there with white supremacists.
Decided to come home and ride my bike. Pumped up the wheels before I left.
Cleared off some more branches from my route.
Rode 15.21 miles.
I usually ride right before dark. It was way hotter at 1pm. I was in full sun most of the way. That equates to about 104 degrees.
While I was riding, I saw that the aquatic center in Mountain Park has opened up on the weekends. That’s fun.
Played some Primal. I enjoy seeing the mammoths.
Watched a really bad movie called Remo Williams. It was so bad it was funny!

Picked up the grandgirls girls at Global Mall this morning. Always enjoy some time with Ashley.
They helped me clean out the bird baths.
Rained a little bit more than a half inch yesterday.
Cleaned the windows in the kitchen.
Kathy joined us on Safari to Stone Mountain.
Saw a flower I didn’t know.
The girls were banging on a log like prehistoric children. It was a lot of fun to hear it.
Cloudy day. It was super nice at Stone Mountain, not hot at all. I could barely see downtown, though.
We saw a doe today. I always like to see wild animals.
We walked over a mile today with the grand girls. Remembered to turn on Runkeeper about halfway up the mountain.
Got groceries at curbside pick up from Walmart.
Put all the girl’s shoes together to make sure I had them all.
Studied Spanish.
I’ll do my brain training soon.
Played some Primal.
Have the next two days off. I miss the girls already.
Beauty.

Picked up Penelope and Everly at Global Mall this morning.
I had a great day with them. Fixed them breakfast.
Took them to the dog park to play.
It was a very hot day. We didn’t stay more than about an hour.
A lot of the slides and things are so hot you can barely put your hand on them.
Came home and cooled off in the sprinkler and in my little blue pool.
I enjoyed listening to a sermon from Tito Ruiz while we were enjoying the water.
Let them take a nap for a couple hours and then did more studying. Letter and number recognition and sounds primarily.
After they left, I studied Spanish.
Still need to do my brain training.
Went for a 15.26 mile bike ride. It’s comfortable on the bike even though it’s very hot.
Just barely missed heavy thunderstorms before I got home.
Listened to radio from Madrid and Harry Potter in Spanish.
I love going right before it gets dark because the clouds are always so beautiful.
Fun day. Learned a new word in Spanish. Penelope is a lefty!

I started my new protocol of meeting Ashley at Global Mall this morning. She doesn’t have to drive all the way to my house to drop off the girls. Seems like a good compromise.
Had a fun chat with Anthony while I waited for Ashley to arrive.
Kathy got to say hello to them before she had to go to work this morning.
We spent some time studying the common feeder birds. I have a lot, it’s almost like being in a birdcage.
Had about an inch of rain yesterday.
I took the girls back to the river by the gristmill at Stone Mountain. It’s a beautiful little place to splash round.
Lots of lovely flowers and swallowtail butterflies to watch.
While they took their nap, I went to Walmart to pick up the groceries.
Miles came and got them around 5 o’clock.
I got a 15.26 mile bike ride in.
I stopped several places to break branches out of the sidewalk where a ride. I very rarely ride on the road except for in communities with little traffic. It’s just too dangerous in my humble opinion.
I spent about the first hour just going through all the poetry that I know. This is one of the four cards that I use to make sure I’ve done it all.
Listened to radio from Madrid for the last thirty minutes of my ride.
Gorgeous clouds today.
I saw a gaggle of geese on my route today. This morning on the way home with the girls from Global Mall I saw over 100 geese in a yard. I’ve never seen anything to that level.
Paid bills.
I studied Spanish and did my brain training this evening.

Little bit cooler day. Looks like a lot of rain coming.
Drank coffee for the first day in months. I was pretty wired up!
The grass seed that the grand girls helped me plant seem to be doing well.
Had a great chat with my buddy Anthony today. Always fun.
Also talked with my Mom. I try to contact her regularly.
I saw the final part of the last episode of season two of El Dragon. I thought the ending was really sad. I watched over 66 hours of that program this year.
Got the groceries.
Recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery. That’s always good.
Rode my bike 15.21 miles. Rode hard.
Listened to the end of book 4 of the Harry Potter series. Started book 5 Order of the Phoenix.
I also got an idea from Netflix about what series to start next in Spanish. I think I’m gonna go with Alta Mar, which means High Seas. It’s a period piece set in the 40s. Should be interesting.
Beautiful clouds today.
I liked the sunflowers.
Enjoying Far Cry Primal.

Miles and Ashley and Kathy went to the funeral service for Miles’ best friend Kevin. I watched the girls while they did that. We had a good time.
I got the dry erase markers out and we worked on zeros and lines.
She also drew some pictures for me. This is us on Stone Mountain.
Everly worked with Play-Doh. I have her roll balls and make snakes. Good for hand coordination.
I painted her fingernails for her.
After they left, I went to Stone Mountain to pick up my bike. It was good to have her back!
I rode my bike 15.15 miles.
It was a hard bike ride. It was hot.
Gorgeous clouds.
I did all the poetry I know and listened to Harry Potter in Spanish and Radio from Madrid.

I watched a live launch of the SpaceX rocket to deliver the next round of satellites for Elon Musk last night. That was super cool. It was all live.
It was cool to watch it steadily get faster. It got up to over 8,000 mph!
I studied Spanish and did my brain training.
I set up my VerbalSurgery.com account for another year.
Had a great time with the girls today. We did a hike up Stone Mountain and then down through the bush.
Studied letters.
We thought this looked like a dinosaur head.
I’m interested in teaching them about nature. I have apps that can identify different plants. So even if I don’t know them I can still identify them. Which is awesome.
I can’t believe this little pine tree growing straight out of the rock.
I showed the grand girls one of the chisels that was used to make a ledge on Stone Mountain. Hard to know exactly how long that it’s been there.
Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Future Self.” It’s awesome!
I’m enjoying playing Primal. Such a fun game.
