Español! Black! Azalea! Bank! 12.12.22

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:52 pm

I’ve been reading the news on BBC Mundo. Getting a lot of vocabulary words.

Finished #3 last week. Tough competition for sure.

Español!

I was walking and studying Spanish and my iPhone kept going kind of dim. I decided to turn the brightness all the way down and then turn it back up to see it that would help. Unfortunately, and to my great chagrin, when I turned the light all the way down it was completely black. I couldn’t see the inputs at all. That’s not good. Eventually, I tried to turn it off to reset it, but I couldn’t the the cursor I was supposed to slide to turn it off. So bizarre. Finally, I realized I hadn’t gotten it to restart. Then just imagined the button and did the clicks and it turned it back light again. The body knows more than the mind. My hand just “knew” what to do.

It sure did freak me out.

Good walk.

The county is cutting tree limbs around from the power lines. They won’t mess with my little trees.

Listened to radio from Spain: Cadena Ser.

Twice today I had issues while I was taking my timed tests on Duolingo. This morning I turned my phone completely dark, and this afternoon I started working and suddenly Duolingo started acting really wonky, crashing over and over and super slow. Not zesty. On the way home I stopped and did one more fifteen minute lesson where the phone signal was five bars. Program worked fine.

Helped the kids with their homework. Middle schoolers have projects due. Mainly, it’s just blatant cut and paste from the internet. They don’t even know what some of the words mean.

Checked the mail at my office. Also picked up my video projector for the board meeting this Saturday.

Picked up some instant Vietnamese coffee for my Mom.

Deposited checks.

The buildings across from Azalea continue to rise. Six floors in all.

Went to the bank to deposit checks.

Beautiful sunset.

This looked like a bright planet. Weird how visible and super shiny.

Glorious.

My Christmas lights constantly change. They make a meteor effect in a rainbow color scheme.
