There was a guy moving dirt on the empty lot near the front of our subdivision. I told him in strong terms that there is a Stop Work order and he should not be doing any dirt work there. Ended up having to call the Code Enforcement department on them.
Worked on my front yard today. I got pretty much all the leaves out of the yard into my recycling areas. Today I spent some time taping the power cord into the blower. I’ll leave that cord dedicated to the blower. Usually, I have to reinsert that cord at least once every five minutes. Zero today after the tape.
There were a lot of leaves still to be picked up.
I also collected some mycelium for Jessi’s mushroom project.
I did all the front yard. By the time I finished, I was working by street lamp light.
That was a hard job.
It’s supposed to start raining again tomorrow. I stayed out later just so I could get finished. Once the leaves are wet, I’d have to wait for day for everything to get dry. Wet leaves are super heavy.
I’ll take a series of “after” shots tomorrow. Too dark this evening to shoot it properly.
I checked with my car guys about the type of auto transmission fluid to put in my car. I’ll probably be adding a little bit soon. I’m supposed to use Merkon, which is what I ordered at Walmart.
The flag on my mailbox is broken. I’m doing my normal repair utilizing tape. This one I put strapping tape first, then covered it with electrical tape. I thought it looks pretty good now. The strapping tape was a good surface to adhere the electrical tape. The tape by itself looked crappy. Although it did work.
Spent the morning studying Spanish and blowing the roof.
Blew off the deck after finishing the roof and gutters.
Blew the front porch area and the driveway.
Did my laundry.
Listened to Don Cheto. It’s really a challenge to listen to because much of the time there are several people talking.
Cleaned off the area outside my door.
I moved the base of the birdbath I used to have to my back yard. That thing was supper heavy. I had to get my dolly out.
Washed my car.
I met up with Ashley, Miles and Penelope at Balance Gymnastics. We were there to watch Everly.
Winter is a great time for watching birds at the feeders. I had a pair of pileated woodpeckers in my yard today. They’re the size of crows.
Dried it off with a towel to get the last of the dirt.
Got the girls some Robux for their games. I’d planned on getting them some for their birthdays, but they hadn’t need any until recently.
Swept the kitchen floor.
Helped the kids with their homework.
Went to Huntley Hills Elementary to see the kids do their presentation. Penelope was gorgeous.
I loved the colors at sunset.
The place was packed.
Family!
Push.

Helped the kids with their homework. I brought out blankets and jackets for kids to use.
One of the kids corrected my Spanish (which I actually really appreciate) today. I asked someone if they wanted a “Blanketa” which I thought was blanket. She asked me, “What did you just say, Mr. Tim?” When I told her what I’d said she told me the word was “Cobija.” To help me remember it I’ll think about Kobe Bryant wrapped up in a blanket.
Kathy came with me to the mission this afternoon. We had a nice supper together with the girls. I went with Everly to see her new trick on the tree.
I thought that the #1 and #2 languages studied in the USA are Spanish and English!
Came in #3 this week in the leagues. I also got my year end report from Duolingo.
OYB!
Walked 2.99 miles.
Mortgage is looking good. Looks like I’ll have about $200 a month less to pay. That will go straight into credit card debt.
Bit cold but beautiful.
Figuring out the calendar with my Mom coming here soon, when the girls are in or out of school and when Ashley will be there on Thursdays or not.
Ordered groceries.
Took the girls over to the Buford Highway Farmers Market for lunch. They were both really hungry.
Deposited checks. Thank you, Jesus.
Listened to Don Cheto.
Helped the kids at the mission. Mainly second graders today and a high schooler.
Beautiful colors in the sky.
Picked up my groceries.
Got gas and checked the oil. Added a little.
Very tight group of the top four. It’s astonishing really how much I respond these numbers every week. Depending on the competition I could easily put in another three hours of studying in the week.
Trying to get my head straight as to when I’ll be watching the grandgirls over the Christmas break.
Checked my transmission fluid. Hard to tell exactly what the level is. I think I may need to add a little bit. Checked on the stick for the make and model of what I need.
Recorded and released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called, “What Makes Me Good, Makes Me Bad.” Excellent!
I should come in #3 this week. My goal is just to stay in the top three. That’s the main thing that Duolingo keep track of that the other students can see. When I get a couple of thousand ahead at the end of the week, I have a tendency not to study quite as hard, like today.

I got the cables in for the headphone project for my living room.
Español!
Foggy this morning.
Walked 1.70 miles.
Cloudy and damp with some drizzle.
I got the wiring hooked up so I can use my ear buds in the living room. I know the TV can keep J up. I’m missing one of the ear pieces. I need to figure out a good place to hang them.
I got Kathy’s health insurance website set up.
Medicare gives me $90 every three months to buy health stuff. I usually spend most of it on vitamins.

Got the cables together to run ear buds when I’m watching TV. That way I won’t bother the rest of the family. I had some wireless headphones but they died this week.
Garmon kept Kathy’s car in the shop last night. Everything checked out, but when we tried to start it to leave, it wouldn’t start. Perfect timing. The found a cell that was shorting out in the battery. We got that replaced.
Español!
It hurts me to see my banana plants like this. All part of the cycle, I hope.
I took Jessi to the doctor this morning. She’s doing a lot better, but had a cold today and wasn’t feeling great.
Cool.
I took Cristopher’s toy to UPS to send back to Amazon.
Listened to Don Cheto.
After seeing the doctor, we went to Publix to drop off the prescription.
Called my Mom. Didn’t get an answer today.
Picked the girls up at the Mission and took them to gymnastics for Everly’s class.
I was also teaching Penelope how to use my camera.
Helped the kids at the mission. Went to my office to check the mail.
Studied Español.
I’m looking forward to working hard tomorrow.

Still getting used to having to wait for things from Amazon. Not everything is Prime. That’s not zesty. K’s shirts will arrive pretty soon. We hope.
Español!
I knew it was coming, but I still was sure sad to see it happen. The first real freeze of the winter. The banana plants did not like that. Sad face. I feel confident that they’ll survive and will come back strong in the Spring. I’ve got two big bags of mulch on top of their base.
I saw this from Hulu. I don’t really watch that much.
A team is coming in February from Roopville Road BC. They’ll be taking the Asian tour.
Kathy’s truck is not starting well sometimes. I’m pretty sure that that’s because of a weak battery. We took her to our new car guys: Garmon’s Auto Service.
I refilled the bird baths around my yard and added peanut butter to the tree where my feeders are. I found a couple of pieces of really hard peanut in that jar, so I didn’t eat any more from it. Give it to the animals.
Helped the kids at the mission. They had a push up competition.
Beautiful sky.
My Mom sent some bath bombs to the girls.
Checked the mail at my office and watered my ficus.
It’s cool how easy it is to track the status of what you’re getting.
