Garmon kept Kathy’s car in the shop last night. Everything checked out, but when we tried to start it to leave, it wouldn’t start. Perfect timing. The found a cell that was shorting out in the battery. We got that replaced.

I took Jessi to the doctor this morning. She’s doing a lot better, but had a cold today and wasn’t feeling great.

I took Cristopher’s toy to UPS to send back to Amazon.

After seeing the doctor, we went to Publix to drop off the prescription.

Called my Mom. Didn’t get an answer today.

Picked the girls up at the Mission and took them to gymnastics for Everly’s class.

I was also teaching Penelope how to use my camera.

Helped the kids at the mission. Went to my office to check the mail.

I’m looking forward to working hard tomorrow.

Still getting used to having to wait for things from Amazon. Not everything is Prime. That’s not zesty. K’s shirts will arrive pretty soon. We hope.

I knew it was coming, but I still was sure sad to see it happen. The first real freeze of the winter. The banana plants did not like that. Sad face. I feel confident that they’ll survive and will come back strong in the Spring. I’ve got two big bags of mulch on top of their base.

I saw this from Hulu. I don’t really watch that much.

A team is coming in February from Roopville Road BC. They’ll be taking the Asian tour.

Kathy’s truck is not starting well sometimes. I’m pretty sure that that’s because of a weak battery. We took her to our new car guys: Garmon’s Auto Service.

I refilled the bird baths around my yard and added peanut butter to the tree where my feeders are. I found a couple of pieces of really hard peanut in that jar, so I didn’t eat any more from it. Give it to the animals.

Helped the kids at the mission. They had a push up competition.

Beautiful sky.

My Mom sent some bath bombs to the girls.

Checked the mail at my office and watered my ficus.

It’s cool how easy it is to track the status of what you’re getting.

It was a cold day. We don’t get that many really cold ones here in Atlanta.

Just got this information. Kathy will probably come with me on Thursday. Jessi came with me on Monday.

Today is “Giving Tuesday.” People are supposed to help out ministries. I posted on Facebook about it.

Sewed up a hole in Everly’s pillow.

Walked 2.08 miles. Eleven hills.

Stuffed the newsletters into the envelopes. Put stamps on. Went to the Post Office yesterday to get stamps. The printer in the Self-Help machine could only print individual 4″ stamps, which I really didn’t want. I had to cut part of the label out and then stick on. There were only two thin strips of glue on each stamp. It didn’t stick at all. So I had to used a glue stick to make it seal properly. What a hassle.

Had a good chat with my Mom on the way to Chamblee to pick up the girls.

Went to the Post Office to mail the letters.

Always great to see the job done.

I got the girls diaries. They liked the sequins on the cover.

Jessi came into Chamblee with me to pick up the girls. I got us pizza and an ice cream cake to celebrate Penelope’s birthday. We’d done it once last week, but we don’t need much of an excuse to get more ice cream cake!

Helped the kids with their homework. It was really cold outside. 41 wind chill.

I gave away more gloves.

I got everything I need to get the newsletters done. I’ll get them in the mail tomorrow.

Made the decision to hold our board meeting for Whirlwind Missions in January. The schedule is so crazy in December.

Got gas and picked up the groceries.

Beautiful moon this evening.

Studied a couple of sites about Nepal and Hinduism.

Ordered more tape from Amazon. I use this for many applications. Yesterday I used it to hold up the fender for a friend of mine’s car!

Got a new power supply for my microscope. It powers the light.

Ordered a new string of Christmas lights. We put them on the railing of our front porch. It’s not much, but it does look good.

Listened to Don Cheto. It’s a great show for practicing oral comprehension.

Ordered some bone conducting headphones for J.

Jessi finally cleaned up our guest room. She had her tech stuff spread out everywhere. That clutter really bothers me. Thanks, J!

Drizzly weather today.

Did some laundry.

Cleaned my sugar jar.

Walked .41 miles. Stopped because of the rain.

Ordered a couple of new shirts for K. She has really enjoyed the last one I got her. It’s made of the same material as my Hawaiian shirts.

Produced my newsletter and labeled envelopes. I’ll get stamps tomorrow and take the letter to be copied when I go by my office.

I called Bluehost tech support. We were having problems with a couple of our websites. They told me they fixed them. We’ll see. The changes are supposed to go into effect in a couple of hours.

I should come in #2 this week. For sure the top 3.

Kathy and I went out to eat then stopped by her sister Ann’s house to help her with a few chores. Her bumper had been torn off somehow. I put it back on and taped it on with strapping tape. Should hold it until she can get it repaired. At least it’s drivable now. Cleaned up her house and repaired her TV clicker.

Good competition this week for the finals of the tournament.

Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery this week called “Everything is Music.”

This morning I got a text from Kathy saying that the microwave wasn’t working. Bahd luck. I went down to throw the breaker that controls it and saw all these bags I need to get rid of this week.

Spent about an hour on the phone and chatting with the folks at Amazon and at Assurion who is the group that I bought the insurance for the microwave from. Got it all squared away and ended up only paying about $30 for the new microwave. Amen.

Sadly, I couldn’t get insurance on the new microwave. I figured they found out they were losing a lot of money on that deal since the machines only last about two years.

The new microwave should come in tomorrow.

K and I went to MJ’s for our Thanksgiving. It was very good. We saw some of our family there!

Cooler today. Glad it was also drier.

Today was big for me. It marked four straight years of studying Spanish at least an hour every day. It has really made a difference!

Still getting used to using only 5GB of data a month. It’s not hard, just have to use some planning. Downloading what I want to listen to while I’m on wifi is key. As well as being aware of how much wifi is actually out there for me to use for free.

Walked 3.15 miles. That’s 17 hills.

The girls walked with me some.

Fixed a pom pom on Everly’s cap.

Kathy and the grandgirls went with me to the German Bakery. Delicious. They adore the lemon squares in particular.

They spilled some hot chocolate on my chair. Cleaned it off and dried it out. Looks fine. You can’t take care of kids and not expect messes. Kathy trusts them way more with stuff than I do. I make them sit at tables and barely fill up their glasses. I expect them to spill and try and mitigate the disasters. K doesn’t know what to expect.

Dropped Kathy off and I took the girls to the library park. K hasn’t been feeling well. I thought she should go back to bed after lunch.

After the park, we went to the library to warm up and enjoy the math games.

Ordered a few things for Jessi. She got a new monitor for her computer as well.

Great to have the family together. I went out for pizza which everyone likes.

Picked up the groceries.

Straightened and vacuumed the house.

Rained off and on all day long. We had a lot of things planned for outside that we couldn’t do.

Español in the morning before I got the girls.

We went to the “Birthday” Waffle House on Buford Highway for breakfast. The girls had chocolate chip waffles which they loved. Amen.

Went from there to Global Mall. Nothing was really open so we left after a quick walk around. Then to the Goodwill on Lawrenceville Highway. We didn’t see much there either. Went to to the Goodwill near my house in Stone Mountain. That one is way better.

Went to Hot and Cold for lunch then over to Young World to see K at her workplace. She was happy to see the girls!

Jessi showed us the aquariums she has going.

I got Everly set up to play Roblox with the rest of us. She was delighted.
