I find this art and ancient engineering interesting.
I sure miss working with Ashley every day. GREAT to have the grandgirls!

I got a light on my carnivores. I’m going to add more.

I cleared out all the stuff in the trunk of my car that I didn’t need. We should have plenty of room. I hope.
One of my favorite things when I go to the beach is riding my bike. It’s such a fun way to get around. Very flat and clear bike lanes that cars on the island take seriously. What a blessing. Installing the rack is less enthralling. I have taped up to the exact size so it’s pretty easy tell which hook goes where. It’s still tricky.
I’ve learned to tape the connections to the car. They don’t work their way loose with tape on it. It’s can’t suddenly pop off. I’ve had a bike fall off once. I was going really slowly so it didn’t hurt anything.
Great chat with Nana today. She’ll be going home on Friday! Amen.
Great to have K with me today.
Helped the kids at the Mission. As you can tell, we’re still outside. Weather has been really nice. And the clip board idea has been a big success.
Mileage.
I want the girls to bike with me when we’re at the beach. I brought their bikes to my house. I put my bike on there just to prove I could. I’ll put my bike on first next time. It’s best to have the heaviest bike closest to the car. It wiggles less.
Went to Lowes to swap out a 1″ pvc cap. I had an odd one that was from the box beside it. It looked the same until you really examined it.
I pumped up all the bike’s tires. They were all low.
I added fresh wash clothes to my handle bars. Way more comfortable and grippy.
I talked to my Mom about studying Spanish. I just came to the realization that she was right. She doesn’t need to really speak much Spanish. Just basic phrases. That was my goal with most of my other languages.

I thought this was interesting. I use the flashlight on my iPhone all the time. I’ve never tried measuring.

I cleaned the container for my carnivores and brought them back inside. I also planted the little dogwood tree Ashley gave me. Blew and washed off my deck. Some animal had tipped over my garbage can with the animal food. I swept up the mess and put the spilled seed in my feeder. No big deal.
I picked up some Hershey bars for the church secretary at FBC Doraville. Just a little “thank you” for helping with the newsletters.
Picked up the grandgirls at the bus and took them to Waffle House to eat. I liked Penelope’s art.
Helped the kids at the Mission. Third through Fifth grade are testing and have no homework. Younger kids did.
One of the kids was asking me about NYC. I told her that was where Starry Night is located at the MOMA.
Eric Barker’s blog is always useful. Here’s something on self-esteem.
Sometimes I hear words that I wouldn’t use, but want to understand.

Ordered groceries.
Came in fifth place last week in the leagues.
Saw a Pileated Woodpecker today. One of my favorites. It’s as big as a crow!
Beautiful weather.
I was studying when the system conked out. I was about finished anyway.
Went to the Lilburn Post Office to get stamps for the newsletter.
Went to FBC Doraville to pick up my newsletters. Stuffed and stamped the envelopes and took them to the Doraville Post Office.
This warning is from a reliable source.
Everly picked up a case for her phone. Unfortunately, it didn’t fit hers which is a iPhone 7+. It did fit Penelope’s so that was good. I picked up an A string for Everly’s guitar and put it on and tuned it up. We got Penelope after Drama Club. Girls ate Cici’s.
Dropped the girls back at their house with Ash and Miles and went to the Mission to help the kids. Hardly any homework because of testing Thursday/Friday, and next Monday through Wednesday. We will be at the beach next week.
Gassed up my car and checked the oil. Had trouble with my debit card. The machines gave me a RKL code.Used my credit card and it worked fine.
Picked up my groceries and put them up.
I read a letter from our mortgage company which said that we owe under $5,000 on our house. Incredible.
Just keep going.

Had a great time speaking at a Sunday School class at First Baptist Atlanta. Great group who seemed very interested. Whether they’ll actually come do anything is hard to tell. Most teams/classes don’t.
I heard that my friend Paul Diamond from FBA was very sick. We prayed for him. I sent him a note.
Went to my office to store my gear and the Easter Eggs.
Went to three separate ATMs to try and deposit checks. The third one at a different bank location worked perfectly.
Ashley and Miles hosted a fun party for Kathy today!
On the way home, I got a warning light in my Honda. It said TMPS. That meant that there was a tire problem. I stopped to check the mail at the church, then swung by my tire guy. By the time I got there the light was off. They checked all my tires, added some air equally to all four. Seemed fine! Good news.
Lots of serious students this week. Many times I would win with this score.
I worked on getting Nana’s new flight booked! She’s heading to be with us on June 5! Awesome!
I also got the rooms booked for our trip to Tybee Island.

Bill Doverspike is having problems with his website. Hate that. J’s working on it.

Verified going to speak at FBA this Sunday morning.
Ashley brought Everly over to the Mission for the Easter program. She had surgery on her ear lobe this morning to get the stainless steel post from her earring out. Great to have my girls together!
Reviewed this word.
Don Cheto on the way home.
J and I have the same phones now. I ordered some more screen protectors.
Did the laundry this morning.
Just keep going.
Went to my office to get the equipment I needed for the presentation for FBA on Sunday.
Had the Easter Party for the kids at the Mission. Great time!

Kathy and I went to Martha Maloney’s funeral today. She was a friend of Kathy’s family for over forty years. They have supported our ministry as well. She was a blessing to us and will be missed. She was in a LOT of pain over the last few years. Hard to know how to pray for that situation. Glad she’s with Jesus now. Amen. Pray for her husband, Don.
The sermon was from 2 Corinithians 5. I like studying it from the Spanish version.
K and I ate at the Buford Highway Farmers Market after the funeral. We brought home food for the girls.
K and I will be watching the grandgirls May 4-7. We are looking into maybe going to the beach for those days.
Went to Azalea to help the kids. Very busy.
Powerful thunderstorms blew into town this evening. Totally unexpected! It flooded the box where I had the carnivores. I squeezed out all the extra water and will let them drain this evening before bringing them inside. So much for the outside experiment!
I’m so glad to be getting rid of Bluehost. Overpriced and super bad service when we had problems. I had to hire other technicians to fix them.
Jessi’s new iPhone arrived today. The case will be here soon. I had extra screen protectors.
I had a talk with Ray at El Torreros today about two words in Spanish I wasn’t sure about and weren’t in the dictionary! They were “michelada” which is a drink they make mainly on the beaches in Latin America and “clavo” which means nail, but also can be a secret of some sort.
Couple of words I didn’t understand in English. Ever heard of shambolic or risible?

Little drizzly today.
Ever seen white Easter eggs? Apparently, they weren’t very popular. I got nearly 600 for $6. That’ll preach. I just throw them out a few times and let the kids give them back to me for next year. I’m going to talk about the purity of Jesus. I also got candy. Spent about $100 in all. I’m looking forward to telling the Easter story on Thursday with the kids at the mission. I haven’t gone to the Mission this week because K needed me to take her to work and pick her up.
Gassed up my car and checked the oil. It’s about 1/2 on the stick. I’ll probably add more next fill up.
I bought K some new shirts for Easter.
All of my roses are blooming. They bring me such joy as do my other plants.
I rated Mostafa who helped migrate our websites from Bluehost to Knownhost. He was worth the money and a nice tip for sure. I gave J her new iPhone for all the help she gave us too.
Picked up K’s truck. So expensive. I’m glad it’s still hanging in there!
I’ll probably be in the top five this week.

Jessi, Mostafa and I worked on the website transfer from Bluehost to Knownhost till after 1:00AM. I was tired this morning.
Who can save this kind of money? That’s crazy talk.
OYB!
I came in third last week. This week I may only be in the top five.
K and I dropped off her truck on Saturday to Garmon, who are our mechanics. I heard from them today. Repairs will run about $2,400. Ouch. Fortunately, my tax money came back from the IRS. Great timing.
Our former website hosting company, Bluehost wanted to charge me $911 for expanding our server size. I already paid them $650 last week! I was so mad at that plus their app absolutely is the worst. I was literally shaking with anger. Wow. I got it worked out.
I’ve been losing weight. I drilled a new hole in my belt.
J and I were on the phone with Dr. Bill for over 1.5 hours this afternoon. We wanted to make sure that he know how to work the new website. J was a very patient teacher and it all worked out great in the end. Bill was happy and I was happy he was happy!
I had a problem with my blog which Jessi also fixed. Amen.
Just keep going.
