Bed! Blow! Show! 6.20.26

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:21 pm

Kathy’s screen on her iPhone is having issues. Trying to get it taken care of.

Blew the deck and driveway.

Hard to train a new cord.

Cleaned the front of the file cabinet in my garage. Not sure what melted on top of it to cause such a mess.

Listened to Don Cheto on the way to the Rock Show. I was so disappointed with the exhibit. Most of the shows I go to are about fifty times bigger! Oh, well. As I like to say, “You don’t find if you don’t look.”

Doubt this sticker works.

Got gas and checked the oil.

It’ll come down to the wire tomorrow. I’ve won this so many times it’s no big deal for me. I just do my usual hour of work no matter what.

Picked up the grandgirls from the Kendall’s house and took them to Cafe Bombay at Global Mall. I wanted to check out how much the buffet was and if it was big enough to host a team. It wasn’t.

Went to FBC Doraville to set up for The Show. Kids helped me a lot including setting up the displays.

Went to the BHFM to check if the new manager was ok with the food order. She needed some clarification, so I’m glad I went by. We spoke pretty much exclusively in Spanish, which is something else I needed to find out.

Took the girls back home. They were glad to see their parents! I liked this collage that Everly made of their dog, Ryder.

Ordered more AA batteries. I need extra to keep at the office for the tech I use for the teams.

Storms! Team Prep! Banana Transplant! 6.18.26

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:35 pm

My buddy Anthony is spending some time with his wife on an island off of Portugal. Looks really cool.

Don Cheto.

I finished reading my book on Eskimos called Kabloona last night. Very interesting. I thought I knew what this word meant, but I was wrong. I thought it meant “slow.” It actually means “sad.”

I’ve started a new book called, “The Hidden Codex of Reality.”

Interesting archeological find near Stonehenge. I’ve been there twice!

Screenshot

Cool!

I dug small holes to keep the ficus plants I transplanted from falling over.

I then took my three biggest banana plants back outside, dug holes, took them out of their heavy duty trash bags and put them in the ground. It was a big, hard project. I’ll bring them back inside in the late fall before it gets really cold. I’ve kept two of my plants inside.

Took my Mom to get her hair done.

I like this.

Keep going.

PEJ! Mailbox! Transplant! Trim! Birdbaths! 6.17.26

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:21 pm

I’ve been watching videos in Spanish about young men doing archeological investigations. Always learning vocab! And flags!

The girls spent good time with Jessi today. They did some of their workbooks for school.

I brought my trash cans in from the street.

Español!

Screenshot

I asked Chat GPT about some issues my Mom was having.

Screenshot

My mailbox was covered in algae and the flag had fallen off. Spent some time cleaning it up and repairing the flag. I had to bend the edges to keep door from falling open.

Last winter, I brought all my plants in. One of them was a large ficus. I cut some of the longest branches off, trimmed them, put rooting hormone on them and let them sit in wet vermiculite over eight months. Today they had some good roots and I transplanted them into new containers. I put them along my driveway where they get the most light.

Trimmed some bushes.

Swept my steps and outdoor carpet.

Cleaned the birdbaths.

Don Cheto!

Screenshot

I ate with the girls at Burger King and picked up Nagano’s for J.

Jimmy Kendall picked up PE and took them to his house for a couple of nights. I’ll get them on Friday and take them back home on Friday afternoon.

Keep going.

Research! Duolingo! PE! Stone Mountain! 6.15.26

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:08 pm

Did research into another trip up into the N. Georgia mountains.

I came in first place last week in the Duolingo leagues.

Screenshot

This film was highly rated.

Screenshot

OYB!

Shockingly cool this morning. While I was studying Spanish, I decided the girls and I would go for a hike on Stone Mountain. It was so beautiful!

Screenshot

Campsite one.

I’m always working with them on strength and balance.

I also like to set a target up and throw rocks at it. Every time we move two steps closer to make it easier, until we just drop them on it. Still hard to make the rock stay exactly where you want it!

Hydrate!

Fun!

Really? This person painted this sign in several places. That’s NOT sexy.

So much to see.

We thought pirate treasure might be buried here.

I let them hit the tree as hard as they could.

There is hardly any soil on the mountain. The trees fall over pretty easily, but they have some roots still in the ground and they continue to live horizontally.

Getting some orders in from the team.

Screenshot

Keep learning.

Knicks! Handle Bars! Storm! Podcast! 6.14.26

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:18 pm

Did some research on Blairsville and Vogel National Park. Kind of far away for a weekend trip.

Knicks won!

Traffic keeps getting worse. Atlanta is the siixth biggest city in the USA. Didn’t know that.

OYB!

Found some more rubber bands. I use them to attach wash cloths to my handle bar grips.

I enjoy drinking my coffee on the porch while I study Spanish.

Screenshot

While I was out there, a front blew through with powerful wind and rain. I had to go inside!

Screenshot
Screenshot

I saw a doe near where I was recording Verbal Surgery at Stone Mountain.

Released the new episode entitled “Point of You.”

As part of my bike maintenance, I’m spraying my tires down with Armor All. I hope that will help prevent dry rot.

Question from Pastor Bill about donations to NAMB.

Screenshot

I reckon I’ll come in first place this week. What do you think?

Hbird Feeders! Bike! 6.13.26

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:11 pm

Tried to explain how notifications on the iPhone work to K. I’m not sure I really understand it tbh.

Screenshot

I’m still working out how many teams the two groups will support. Looks like one each.

Screenshot

J helped me figure out how the kids could tell their drinks apart. Stickers are a great idea.

OYB!

Español!

Screenshot

It was so hot today. With the humidity in the full sun, my guess was at least 110º.

Screenshot
Screenshot

We used to go to this mall all the time. Not sure what will happen to it. I know during the No Kings rally they made a big deal about not letting any protesters park there. I’m sure that made a lot of people want to avoid that mall. Sure did for me.

Screenshot

As the weather heats up, I need to change the hummingbird feeders every week, otherwise the solution can sour. I clean the bottles with a stick to get the mildew off. I mix up a 1/4 mixture of sugar to water, fill and put them up! I do four feeders in my yard.

Prepped my bike to ride. Cleaned the frame and pumped up the tires. I’m getting more Armorall to keep the rubber fresh, at least that’s what I hope it does. I got more today. I realized I should do the whole tire not just the sides.

Screenshot

I pick up rope and strapping things when I find them.

Don Cheto while I rode.

Screenshot

It was one of the hardest rides I’ve done because of the extreme heat.

Screenshot

After I showered, I took about an hour nap.

Like Español, I just keep going.

I had the girls do some school work. They were less than enthusiastic, but they do it.

I took the Honda to get the emissions test done. Passed! I filled out the forms, sent in a check and got the envelope in the mail.

Went by my office to check the mail. I brought the girls with me to save Ash and Miles a trip to my house.

Listened to Don Cheto on the way home.

Screenshot

I’m trying to renew my drivers license on line. It’s not easy. I had to attach the Vision Test form as a PDF which was even harder. I got it all submitted. We’ll see if it all worked. This is why I start on this stuff as early as possible.

Screenshot
Screenshot

I sent two emails to the team leaders coming to town in about ten days. One was in regard to if the groups could split up into two teams each and the other was about the food order.

Keep going.

I made the girls do some homework.

Did laundry.

Went to Walmart to get some supplies (treats) and some new socks for E.

I saw a friend of mine while I was there. I hear he’s pretty good at soccer.

Returned a library book for K.

Took Nana to the doctor for her annual physical.

Had a good chat with my buddy, Ben Birdsong. He’s bringing some people to check out our work.

Screenshot
Screenshot
Screenshot

Took the girls to Stone Mountain Park.

We couldn’t figure out what the ants were eating, but they loved it.

I need to go by early voting tomorrow.

You know the drill.
