K and I took PE to Huntley Hills Elementary for their Open House to get ready for the new school year.
We got to see their rooms and meet their teachers.
Went to FBC Doraville to drop off supplies for the church and to make the copies of my newsletter.
Ate lunch at Matthews in Tucker.
Stuffed the envelopes with the newsletter and dropped them off at the Post Office in Chamblee.
Went on our final trip to Stone Mountain for the summer. Rode the cable car. Kind of scared them.
We hiked around at the top. Very hazy. Came back down and went to the water park in the Stone Mountain Village. It’s always been closed in the past. They had fun. Something different.

Still working on insurance for my Mom.
Keep going.

Took Nana to the eye doctor. There was a slight hemorrhage of blood in her left eye, but she couldn’t tell that her vision had gotten worse since the last visit a month ago.
One of the fastest round trips we’ve ever had. We left around 10:15 AM. Back in less than three hours and that includes stopping at Bojangles for lunch.
Got in touch with our insurance agent about my Mom’s dental coverage.
The AC unit for the sun room area in our house arrived. J and I will get it set up soon.
We had a ton of recycle. A box got stuck in the dumpster and only half the recycle was taken last week. I spread it out this time to make sure it all goes.
A friend of mine wants to put Whirlwind Missions in their data base.
Hot.
K and I took PE to the Mtn Pk Aquatic Center. We had a good time.

Fun lunch with PEKJ at Waffle House. Hadn’t been there in a long time.
Washed towels and washcloths and put them up.
Picked up groceries. Hardest part was putting up the dog food and bird seed. The bags were nearly fifty pounds each. I usually fill up half a bag at the bottom of the can and then put half of the new bag on top.
Got a new screen protector for P’s tablet.
Keep going.

Our power went out from around 6:30 PM till about 11:30 PM last night. That’s not zesty. PEK and I went out to get chocolate frosties to eat by candlelight.
I copied the information from my old AC Unit. I filled out a form about getting estimates on replacing a similar unit.
Watered my downstairs plants.

Thunderstorms blew through. Heavy rain for a few minutes.
Got some new reading glasses.
Jessi and I put in a 10,000 BTU air conditioner for our living room. I had to get the window unstuck first. I used a whammy bar and got it to come loose.
I unpacked the AC unit. Took out the foam and sides first.
This window should work well.
Jessi is great at reading directions. I’m great at getting it done fast.
Instillation.
I reinstalled a couple of screws I took out getting the window unstuck.
I think we did a good job. We had to add a board under the unit to get it slightly higher. It’s important that the unit drains properly.
Last night, we had gone through the plan of what rides were acceptable. They were able to change their minds if they saw something they thought they’d like. This spinning one they decided not to go on.
Six Flags is a big place. We covered more than three miles in the park.
Our first ride was this animatronic monster underground adventure. I think P was pretty scared. I was holding her pretty tightly. Making fun of the monsters, trying to take the scary stuff away. These weren’t the scary ones.
My favorite ride was the girls riding this one and me riding the bench.
I liked this merry go round.
I was shocked by this near life-size sculpture. Nip! I wonder how many of the hundreds of thousands of people who rode this noticed it.
About halfway into our trip, the girls decide they wanted to check out the water park. We had all our swim gear in the car, but we had to walk about half a mile to get it.
They really enjoyed the water park. Penelope added a new slide to the ones she likes. It made the journey to Six Flags way more worth it The swimming area doubled our time at the park. It took them a while to figure out what to ride.
We ate pizza at Primos on the way out. E wasn’t really hungry. P and I were.
Our best out of three trips there.
Quite a lot of exercise.
Just keep going.
Power cut off for about three hours this evening. Never good. Glad it came back on! Finished the blog.
