I’ve enjoyed creating fractals with this Mandelbrot Metal.
Brain Training. I’m interested in what brain waves are being created when I am in different states of consciousness.
Still trying to figure out where my shirts from adaychic are.

Second place last week in the Leagues.
Warm.
My little peppermint roses are blooming.
I brought a little plate of droseras from J’s room. It had gotten dried out. Sad. Plants are tough. Hopefully, they’ll come back.
I had the carnivorous plants separated. I decided to mix them together like they would be in nature.
Beauty.
K lost her sunglasses. She thought she left them at the Doggie Park. I didn’t see them at the table
Don Cheto.
There are supposed to be two helicopters in this picture but I don’t see them here.
Research on how to use the Mandelbrot Metal app.
I’ve never seen this before. Cool. Pileated Woodpecker with a hanging suet cage.
I installed two feeder/plant hangars today. One is by my window where I just installed screen mesh. The other is on the deck by J’s chair. The usual process of getting all the equipment I’ll need together first.
Hooking up power for the drill. Getting the drill bit in. Pre drilling holes is really the way to go.
Then I screwed the Phillips head into the frame of the window. One screw is sufficient. That hummingbird feeder isn’t heavy. I may put hanging plants there during the winter.
Put stuff away.
I cleaned the glass door on the deck and put a suet feeder there.
The feeder by my window is back in business.
I use wire to hang them. Works great.
I got the two new feeders by Amazon today. Cleaned, filled, and hung them out.
Drilled a hole and put screw in the hangar on the deck.
Deck feeder.
Recorded and released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called, “Look See”
Duolingo has us competing against friends. We are usually at the top.
Most of my day was spent on the phone with Mint Mobile. I waited for a call back for over four hours. Finally got it all figured out. K has a usable phone again. Amen. Thank you, Father!
Her old iPhone 11 Pro Max used lightning cables. I had to change her cables out to USB-C for the iPhone 15+.
I put the screen protector on for K’s new phone and ordered a protective cover for the back cameras.
I wrote Thank You notes while I was waiting for Mint Mobile to call me back.
The new AC window unit has saved us money.
Second place this week. Just keep doing the work.

After the dental cleaning yesterday, I did the whitening strips today.
I decided I’d like to get some fresh cool air in my room from time to time. Mosquitoes made opening my window impossible. So I got some black replacement screen mesh and covered my window. Before I did that I needed to cut the bushes away from the house. They looked like great candidates for rooting. Cut them all down to size and got them in water to root.
Then cleaned up and put away the table.
Covering my window with screen mesh was a challenge. Once I got the bush cleared out, I scrubbed all the surfaces with my leather gloves and made a careful measurement of the material and the window opening. Got a window planter off with window ledge and loaded the staple gun.
Staple guns are a really useful tool.
J’s new containers came in.
I moved a feeder from the back yard to the kitchen window. I’m trying to provide enough feeders that they can feed without too much fighting. He can’t fight what he can’t see.
Mixed up feeder solution and cleaned the feeders.
Getting more feeders and stands.
Went to the Post Office to measure and send Jim a priority mail letter with the $5K check in it.
Worked on getting K’s phone squared away with an e-sim. I went to Burger King for wifi and great cell signal. Spent over two hours this afternoon and another four hours this evening trying to make calls or expecting a call from Mint Mobile Tech. Ay caramba.
I changed the email on K’s phone.
I wrote Thank You cards while I waited on phone calls.
You can see Stone Mountain from this spot in Burger King.
Kept working on the Mint challenge.
Post Office to mail the letters I’d done and get more stamps.
Got more Thank You cards.
Charging K’s phone all the way up.
You know the drill.

Heating up again.
Ordered groceries.
Don Cheto while I was in the car.
I wrote and produced my newsletter last night. I also did all the labels. Today, I went to FBC Doraville to make copies and stuff the envelopes. I always want to leave the place like I found it.
Cleaned out the trash can in my office and put it in the dumpster. I’ve been in this office a long time.
Went to the Post Office to get the newsletters in the mail.
I went to my favorite Antiques place in Chamblee. Always something fun to see. I just had a few minutes and didn’t see anything I had to have.
Picked up Penelope at the bus and went to the BHFM for lunch. It was exceptionally good today.
Then went to Huntley Hills to pick up Everly at Flaggerrets. It’s her cheerleading team.
I opened up the Mission to the kids today. I hope they’re going to be careful.
I was outside helping with homework.
Part of my route home has been closed the last few days. This afternoon, I went to see the construction. Looks like they’re completely redoing the asphalt between the tracks. That’ll be a LOT better. I had to go over that crossing in the Lincoln at nearly a dead stop.
Picked up groceries on the way home. As I expected, they didn’t have the extra large boxes that J wanted in stock. I had to return these. Wasn’t too hard because I had a team leader helping me.
There’s been a possible recall on Kathy’s Rollator chair. I emailed the company back. They asked for a picture of the Ref and Lot numbers. I provided that in an email to them this evening.
Keep going.

Came in second place in the Duolingo leagues last week.
Practiced with my EEG headset.
Putting plans into motion for Homecoming this year.
I’m researching putting a fine mesh over my window to keep out bugs. It’s been cool outside in the evenings. Might be nice to have some fresh air. Still in the planning stages. I need to measure where the material will go.

Cooler.
Ms. Thais is Penelope’s teacher. She’s been a great volunteer at the Mission.
Deposited checks. Thank you so much, Father!
Picked up the girls at the bus and went to Pho 24.
New picture from Penelope. Recognize the figure?
I got this email from Amazon about K’s collator. I followed up with an email this evening.
Penelope and Everly go up to Alexa’s house when we get to Azalea.
Very little homework. Most of the kids are doing MAP testing. That helps the teachers figure out which kids need to work together.
Don Cheto on the ride home.
It’ll be close this week.
Wrote my newsletter. Haven’t produced it yet. This is the first part.
I’m keeping everyone in our family up to date with medical stuff.
Practiced with my EEG headset.
Checked on my BP after doing the brain training.

Not too bad today.
From Jessi’s sleep doctor. Probably checking on whether she needs CPAP supplies.
I discovered a plant in Jessi’s office that I hadn’t been watering. Can you see how the extreme light was turning it red?I made sure to give her a thorough drenching today. And not such direct light.
K and I took the girls to Cheeseburger Bobby’s.
I always get P to do some art for me.
They really enjoyed their sundaes! P got Reeses and E got Oreo.
Went to Azalea to help the kids.
Got gas and checked the oil on the way home.
Kathy is getting her new iPhone 15 Plus on line soon. I ordered more USBC to USBA cords. I got 4 x 3ft, 2 x 6ft & 1 x 10ft. I’m just glad the EU forced iPhone to go with USBC. That’s what most other devices use. So these cables work with our phones as well as the grandgirl’s phones and tablets.
Got some gum for J. It’s the little things.
Picked up groceries.
Ordered more Thank You notes.
Keep keeping on.

Ever since I discovered this odd set of carvings on Stone Mountain, I’ve been trying to find out who wrote them and when. Yesterday, as I was looking at videos on ancient carvings in India, they had pictures of their writing, which I thought looked a lot like what I had found on Stone Mountain.
Here’s what’s on SM.
From the Barabar caves in India.
I don’t think these are related but still interesting.
