PEK! Bikes and Rack! Azalea! 4.30.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:20 pm

I find this art and ancient engineering interesting.

I sure miss working with Ashley every day. GREAT to have the grandgirls!

OYB!

I got a light on my carnivores. I’m going to add more.

EspaƱol!

I cleared out all the stuff in the trunk of my car that I didn’t need. We should have plenty of room. I hope.

One of my favorite things when I go to the beach is riding my bike. It’s such a fun way to get around. Very flat and clear bike lanes that cars on the island take seriously. What a blessing. Installing the rack is less enthralling. I have taped up to the exact size so it’s pretty easy tell which hook goes where. It’s still tricky.

I’ve learned to tape the connections to the car. They don’t work their way loose with tape on it. It’s can’t suddenly pop off. I’ve had a bike fall off once. I was going really slowly so it didn’t hurt anything.

Great chat with Nana today. She’ll be going home on Friday! Amen.

Great to have K with me today.

Helped the kids at the Mission. As you can tell, we’re still outside. Weather has been really nice. And the clip board idea has been a big success.

Mileage.

I want the girls to bike with me when we’re at the beach. I brought their bikes to my house. I put my bike on there just to prove I could. I’ll put my bike on first next time. It’s best to have the heaviest bike closest to the car. It wiggles less.

Went to Lowes to swap out a 1″ pvc cap. I had an odd one that was from the box beside it. It looked the same until you really examined it.

I pumped up all the bike’s tires. They were all low.

I added fresh wash clothes to my handle bars. Way more comfortable and grippy.

I talked to my Mom about studying Spanish. I just came to the realization that she was right. She doesn’t need to really speak much Spanish. Just basic phrases. That was my goal with most of my other languages.
