Tim A. Cummins @ 12:05 am

I had a terrific time preaching today at Cowboy Church in Jerusalem, Georgia!

I worked with one of my favorite partners, Rebecca Hampton who is part of our Mission Service Corps team of the North American Mission Board.

She is doing a terrific job with troubled youth in the area.

In the last few months over 24 people have come to the Lord because of her work. Today I presented a revised story of the Prodigal Son from a cowboy perspective. “There was a rich rancher in S. Texas who had two sons. The younger son was tired of living on the ranch and wanted to go to Austin!”

I ended my sermon with , “Take the Church, to the Cowboys!”

It was a beautiful thing!

I also made the comment that “I’d seen every kind of back row Baptist. But I’ve never seen a HORSE on the back row before!” It was pretty amazing to see this palamino lean over the fence to nuzzle on of the congregation on the back row!

It was a long trip–nearly 200 hundred miles to Jerusalem and back to Stone Mountain. But it was certainly worth the time. I shot a lot of video so I can help promote Rebecca’s work at the ranch. Please pray that she will be able to reach many more of her neighbors for Christ!

I got home about 9:30pm. Kathy, Jesse and I enjoyed watching the movie “Amazing Grace.” We’ll finish watching it tomorrow.

Love you guys!
