TX Trek 2012!
Kathy, Jesse and I just returned from our safari to Texas!
It was almost exactly 1,000 miles from my house in Stone Mountain to my family in Georgetown, Texas.
Crossing the Mississippi is always groovy!
Love to see we’re getting close!
Enjoyed visiting the Strecker Museum in Waco at Baylor.
I thought the baby armadillos were cute.
How ’bout them longhorns?
Final mileage to my Folk’s house from Stone Mountain. It always changes a little bit.
I liked this shot of Jesse.
Beautiful skies!
And sunsets!
I couldn’t believe how tame the deer are.
I love these limestone cliffs.
Always wonderful to be with my family!
We sang some Christmas songs, I told the Christmas story and we shared gifts. Our family opens the gifts on Christmas eve. I think that’s a German heritage thing.
We also had a birthday cake for Jesus. It tasted good too!
Fun with the GREAT grandkids!
My Mom always used to dress us alike. We hated it. Just like old times, minus the bad attitude.
Leaving to go back to Georgia!
It had snowed the day before. Still saw some remnants on the way home. Roads were fine.
We liked the Texas shaped waffles we had at the hotel.
This seems like cheating to me.
Batmen!
Virtual world meets Walmart.
I love these old tractors!
Cool caution sign!
Spineless cactus.
I thought this dog house was cool.
