I have several new weather watching tools. I’m enjoying the wind app with Ventusky, Zoom Earth which animates clouds over any area of the world and Radar Scope which is pro grade radar.

Always great to hear from kids from the old days. I have a team that weekend and won’t be able to go.

Called Nana. Kept getting cut off. We went to using the iPad with wifi instead of the land line.

Went to Ann’s house to make sure she was alright. K hadn’t heard from her in over 24 hours. I got her phone working with new cord and charger. Also rewired the power supply. Then cleaned her living area and bathroom. You can’t imagine just how nasty it was.

Also made sure to put K back on her sister’s location monitor. Now she can tell if her sister is in the hospital by tracking her phone’s GPS.

Listened to some Metronomy.

Love my girls!

Girls are working super hard.

Perfecting 2,3 and 4 times tables. Everly did well on all the combinations of adding 2.

Practicing climbing.

Went to my office to pick up checks and water my ficus. We also picked up a table from my office to put in her room.

We stopped by the Dunwoody library on the way to visit Ashley with the girls. We liked this mural.

Ashley was doing great.

We got super lucky and found a desk at Goodwill that Penelope liked for $20. That’ll preach. Ashley will pick it up on the way home. Everly also got two cute shirts and a pretty little dress she liked.

Super School.

K and I took the girls to Bojangles for breakfast.

Always drama in nature. We were outside Bojangles and Penelope saw a spider being pulled off by one leg by an ant.

Always good.

Penelope and I played some Borderlands together. She’s pretty good!

Miles came over and picked up the girls around 3:00. We had everything ready and packed up.

Jessi and I are working on a mycelium project with a pressure cooker. I set up an area that should be impervious to the heat: bricks on a concrete slab.

Incredible. Now everything is tracked. Especially our attention.

This makes me sad.

I’ve been studying these verbs. So much to learn.

Working hard on multiplication tables. Up to the 5s today. Her average time for doing about 20 problems is about a minute.

K and I took the girls to Waffle House this morning.

They are really good eaters.

I’m always trying to push their abilities. The top of those curbs are only around 3″ wide.

I was planning on lunch with Jon tomorrow. Turns out he’s busy.

Finally got the groceries that were supposed to be done yesterday, today.

After I got the groceries put up, we went over to the Crazy River pool. We stayed about an hour. That’s plenty for me.

Jessi put Ann’s new walker together. E and I took it over to Ann’s and gave it to her. I also put her garbage cans back up.

Every one is chilling now. Nice to be in the shade in the cool.

Mr. Google took me through a lot of neighborhoods this morning. 78 and 285 were both packed.

Azalea for Super School. Everly got to page 100 in her workbook! That’s a lot of effort. Penelope has been working super hard on her multiplication tables.

I got them each a Bitzee which is a little digital pet. They deserved the reward.

Went to the church to take back the clicker for my computer and fill out a form to reserve the Fellowship Hall for the team next week.

Set up lunch with my buddy Jon Paul for Thursday.

Took the girls to the library near my house. All they wanted to do was play with their new pets. We came on home pretty quickly.

HOT. I kept the kids indoors.

My bother Jim had a meeting with the doctors and staff at the rehab center where my Mom is. I joined them via cellphone. Nana is making steady progress.

I had my groceries for a 3:00 PM pick up. They finally confirmed it was ready this evening around 9:00 PM. I’ll get that tomorrow.

Started teaching Penelope the guitar. It’s pretty hard for her.

K and I took the girls out for supper at MJ’s.

How can you use this? Silly girl.

Beautiful cirrus clouds. Most of the day it was a completely clear sky. That’s unusual for the Summer.

Gassed up my car and checked the oil. It went from $2.99 to $3.39 in less than five hours.

Lots of good students this week. Not sure I’ll even break the top three. I’ll give my best effort.

The kids worked really hard today.

We did a science experiment how fast things drop according to their mass and surface area.

We are also mastering the times tables.

We have fun playing cards and eating treats after we work. The girls enjoy playing school.

We enjoyed Vietnamese for lunch.

Went to Plaza Fiesta for some fun out of the sun.

I love this stuff. The leather smell reminds me so much of Mexico.

Cleaned the area behind my toilet.

My old (#3) shoes turned out looking good after the paint job. I decided to repaint my #2 set of shoes.

I went to Ann’s house to turn her AC down a bit. Her wheelchair was inside the garage. She was gone. As I expected, I later heard that she had been transported to the ER. She’s not in good shape.

Ordered back up earbuds. I couldn’t find mine this afternoon. Eventually, I realized they were underneath another set of cords.

I use these little bags to carry my vitamins around. I also put little gifts in them.

Recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “The Other Side.” Excellent.

No wonder we are so hot.

I’ve been enjoying looking at the wind, weather and satellite apps. So beautiful.

Even Apple’s wx app is interesting. These days I’m particularly interested in learning about high and low pressure areas and the direction of the winds.

I’ve been into Personal Knowledge Management for decades but I’ve never had a place I could put things that was easily searchable before. I’m using the My Mind app now. It’s like visual notes with AI search power.

Corresponded with Bluehost a lot today about my websites. I went ahead and signed up for three more years to get a massive discount. They will reimburse me what I had been charged. The price for hosting my websites will go from about $800/year to around $150.

We still have about six weeks left of the Summer.

We ate at the Downwind restaurant at the airport today. Delicious.

Had fun at the Chamblee Library.

Everly read seven books and Penelope read nine. They have a goal of twenty five during the Summer.
