Nana Eye Doctor! PEK! Bank! Storms! 8.19.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:17 pm

Irene continues to pack a wallop!

Vocabulario!

OYB!

Not quite as hot today.

Español!

One of the teachers from Huntley Hills Elementary comes to help me on Tue/Thursday. I let her know I had someone take my little suitcase with school supplies. Really surprising.

Got up early to take my Mom to the eye doctor. She had to have shots in her eyes. Ouch!

K and I are coordinating taking J in to get her CPAP machine.

Took the garbage to the street. The garbage job includes keeping the recycle and garbage cans cleared out as well as picking the bags up around the house.

I help coordinate my Mom’s physical therapy.

I’ll give Russell a call tomorrow. I believe he’s in Alabama.

Penelope wanted Cici’s pizza. Everly was aghast at the choice. I took her to Bobby’s Cheeseburgers for chicken strips instead. That brightened her day.

Saw this at Pet Smart.

Big storms blew through Chamblee. Everly and I went to the Mission to check on the kids. They were soaking wet. We’ll do homework tomorrow.

Processed and deposited checks.

It’s only Tuesday, and I already know I’ll probably come in third this week.

Nana! PEK! Gas! Azalea! 8.18.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:10 pm

Erin looks powerful!

Came in second place in the finals.

Got a text from my good friend Tim Tidenburg today! We’ve been friends since we were kids.

Eric Barker always has good ideas.

OYB!

Nana took K and I out to Metro Diner today. Yum! Thanks, Nana!

Talked to the staff at Dr. Lee’s office today. Nana has an appointment with her eye doctor tomorrow. Hopefully, they’ll be able to give her the shot for her macular degeneration tomorrow. I got directions from the receptionist. Good to get details that Google Maps doesn’t provide.

We picked up the girls at the bus and took them to Waffle House. I had a short rest back at their house and then went to the mission to work with the kids. I really enjoyed it today. Had three students, pretty much each at separate times and got to really practice with them.

Hot.

Feed neurons daily.

Plants! Podcast! H. Birds! Nana’s Chair! 8.17.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:07 pm

Watered my indoor plants.

OYB!

Cool mushrooms!

Español!

We got Nana’s power chair in today! It was in a big box and weighed about 85 pounds. I used a dolly to move it around. Took about an hour to put together.

Miles offered to come help me. Turned out to be a one-man job.

Hot and humid.

Cleaned and refilled my hummingbird feeders.

My Mac Air gave me a notice that there had been a data breach and my passwords for my Bank of America and Scana Gas were at risk. I changed them all today, including the account for Whirlwind Missions, Inc.

Went to Stone Mountain to record “Performance Hugs.” Good one.

Looks like I’ll come in second place this week.

Cleaned my stairs last night.

OYB!

Español!

Hurricane on the move.

Trimmed my front yard today,

Picked up sticks. I doubt my recycle area will ever fill up.

Blew the driveway, street and the deck.

Three hours and fifteen minutes. That’s a long time. I’m still tired.

Hot. I was red-faced.

Don’t quit.

Laundry! PEK! Azalea! Buck! AC! 8.14.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:58 pm

Over 104 degrees!

When I start a new game, I like to watch videos to give me ideas about the best strategies.

My Mom’s bone density scan came back with really good results!

Still working on getting Nana’s chair. Shipping has been a challenge.

OYB!

Español!

Did my Mom’s and my laundry.

K and I picked up the girls and took them to Taco Veloz.

Helped the kids at the Mission.

Hot. Like a terrarium outside.

We saw a buck, doe and fawn near our house. Groovy!

Nana’s new AC unit came in. I got it all unboxed and ready to install, but I decided it was a two-person job. I’ll wait for J to help me.

I let my Mom know that aunt Peggy Hooten’s memorial service will be this Saturday.

Keep going. Have to play the long game.

Nana Scan! Gas! Azalea! Neem! Portal! 8.13.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:02 pm

Played guitar last night. Fun!

Sad to think Aunt Peggy has gone.

Got in touch with the guy who will help us with the roof and gutters.

OYB!

Español!

Took Mom in for her bone density test. She did great!

I got in contact with the sleep doctor’s office for J’s sleep study evaluation. Finally got the portal for Jessi working.

I have this issue sometimes.

Got gas and checked the oil.

Everly came with me to the Mission. K stayed with P at their house. Neither of them were feeling well. Helped one of the kids with their homework.

Sprayed my pink magnolia with Neem oil. She’s been plagued with white mildew fungus.

Got food for J and Nana on the way home. What would you have picked?

We are still dealing with the sellers of Nana’s lift chair. Hopefully, we have the situation figured out. I had to resend my address and phone number to them. Praying that Nana’s chair will get here soon!

Got more index cards.

Won’t stop.

Xfinity! Bank! PEK! Azalea! 8.12.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:02 pm

Set up the Physical Therapy session for my Mom with her trainer.

Installed the wireless keyboard for my Mom’s iPad. Got the batteries in it.

Vocabulario.

The Xfinity tech got to my house right at 8AM. He checked the signal strength and determined that we could use wi-fi with the new set-top box for local cable channels.

OYB!

Contacted the sellers for the lift chair my Mom bought. Still haven’t delivered it.

Confirmation on the work that was done this morning.

Español!

Kathy has been driving to the Mission this week. WAY easier on me. I offered to get her a uniform.

Worked on getting the portal set up for J with her sleep doctor. Not an easy task.

Working on the best deal for the insurance for my Mom’s car that I’m driving back from Texas on 8.23-24.

Did some research on the appointment that my Mom has for her new eye doctor here in the ATL. I’m taking her in for a bone density scan tomorrow.

K and I picked up the grandgirls and took them to Pig n Chic.

Deposited checks. Thank you so much, Father!

Helped the kids at the Mission. General lack of enthusiasm for doing any work. I did have a good time with one of my seventh graders, however.

Chatted with my brother about my upcoming trip to Texas and the drive back. 1,000 miles is no joke.

Just keep going.

PE! Bank! Azalea! 8.11.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:44 pm

New generation vocab!

OYB!

Connected to the portal to make sure my Mom’s meds are ready. I got a text later that they were. Amen.

Also contacted the Amazon seller for my Mom’s new lift chair. Hopefully, it will be here soon.

I’m getting cable hooked up in my Mom’s room so she can watch local TV. On the phone with Comcast this morning to get that figured out. They are coming tomorrow morning at 8AM.

Came in first place last week.

Roses are flowering!

Español!

Sprinkled on us at the Mission. We were about finished anyway.

Installed some hangers for my Mom’s robe and PJs.

Ordered a AC window unit for my Mom. Makes a lot more sense to use something small rather than cooling down the whole house.

Mom’s blood pressure medicine is ready.

K and I picked the grandgirls up and took them to eat at Cici’s. We also took a quick look around Pet Smart.

Deposited checks. Thank you so much, Father!

Told the manager of Azalea about the poison ivy pouncing through the fence.

Helped the kids with their homework.

Kathy has been doing the driving to and from the Mission. What a blessing! I taught her the controls today. These Japanese systems take some getting used to.

Updated an address of a donor to our ministry.

Weather blowing up from the south. Almost all our weather comes from the west.

My aunt Peggy Hooten passed away today. She was 92. She was one of my missionary “aunts” and I thought of her and her family as my family too. My brother Jim married Kathy Hooten. So now there are two Kathy Cummins!

Effort.

Picked up the groceries and put them away.

First place this week, as I expected. Most people generally make about the same amount every week.
