One of the teachers from Huntley Hills Elementary comes to help me on Tue/Thursday. I let her know I had someone take my little suitcase with school supplies. Really surprising.
Got up early to take my Mom to the eye doctor. She had to have shots in her eyes. Ouch!
K and I are coordinating taking J in to get her CPAP machine.
Took the garbage to the street. The garbage job includes keeping the recycle and garbage cans cleared out as well as picking the bags up around the house.
I help coordinate my Mom’s physical therapy.
I’ll give Russell a call tomorrow. I believe he’s in Alabama.
Penelope wanted Cici’s pizza. Everly was aghast at the choice. I took her to Bobby’s Cheeseburgers for chicken strips instead. That brightened her day.
Saw this at Pet Smart.
Big storms blew through Chamblee. Everly and I went to the Mission to check on the kids. They were soaking wet. We’ll do homework tomorrow.

It’s only Tuesday, and I already know I’ll probably come in third this week.

Talked to the staff at Dr. Lee’s office today. Nana has an appointment with her eye doctor tomorrow. Hopefully, they’ll be able to give her the shot for her macular degeneration tomorrow. I got directions from the receptionist. Good to get details that Google Maps doesn’t provide.
We picked up the girls at the bus and took them to Waffle House. I had a short rest back at their house and then went to the mission to work with the kids. I really enjoyed it today. Had three students, pretty much each at separate times and got to really practice with them.
We got Nana’s power chair in today! It was in a big box and weighed about 85 pounds. I used a dolly to move it around. Took about an hour to put together.
Miles offered to come help me. Turned out to be a one-man job.
Hot and humid.
Cleaned and refilled my hummingbird feeders.
My Mac Air gave me a notice that there had been a data breach and my passwords for my Bank of America and Scana Gas were at risk. I changed them all today, including the account for Whirlwind Missions, Inc.
Went to Stone Mountain to record “Performance Hugs.” Good one.
Looks like I’ll come in second place this week.

Took Mom in for her bone density test. She did great!
I got in contact with the sleep doctor’s office for J’s sleep study evaluation. Finally got the portal for Jessi working.
I have this issue sometimes.
Got gas and checked the oil.
Everly came with me to the Mission. K stayed with P at their house. Neither of them were feeling well. Helped one of the kids with their homework.
Sprayed my pink magnolia with Neem oil. She’s been plagued with white mildew fungus.
Got food for J and Nana on the way home. What would you have picked?
We are still dealing with the sellers of Nana’s lift chair. Hopefully, we have the situation figured out. I had to resend my address and phone number to them. Praying that Nana’s chair will get here soon!

Set up the Physical Therapy session for my Mom with her trainer.
Installed the wireless keyboard for my Mom’s iPad. Got the batteries in it.

The Xfinity tech got to my house right at 8AM. He checked the signal strength and determined that we could use wi-fi with the new set-top box for local cable channels.

Kathy has been driving to the Mission this week. WAY easier on me. I offered to get her a uniform.
Worked on getting the portal set up for J with her sleep doctor. Not an easy task.
Working on the best deal for the insurance for my Mom’s car that I’m driving back from Texas on 8.23-24.
Did some research on the appointment that my Mom has for her new eye doctor here in the ATL. I’m taking her in for a bone density scan tomorrow.
K and I picked up the grandgirls and took them to Pig n Chic.

Helped the kids at the Mission. General lack of enthusiasm for doing any work. I did have a good time with one of my seventh graders, however.
Chatted with my brother about my upcoming trip to Texas and the drive back. 1,000 miles is no joke.

I’m getting cable hooked up in my Mom’s room so she can watch local TV. On the phone with Comcast this morning to get that figured out. They are coming tomorrow morning at 8AM.

Ordered a AC window unit for my Mom. Makes a lot more sense to use something small rather than cooling down the whole house.

Kathy has been doing the driving to and from the Mission. What a blessing! I taught her the controls today. These Japanese systems take some getting used to.

My aunt Peggy Hooten passed away today. She was 92. She was one of my missionary “aunts” and I thought of her and her family as my family too. My brother Jim married Kathy Hooten. So now there are two Kathy Cummins!
