Pelham!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:20 pm

Monday night I worked on paying bills.

Also Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery -571- “Mountain Bottom.”

Just click on the title and GROOVE!

Uploaded to server.

Link on Facebook.

Tuesday morning studied Spanish and Swahili.

Bills in the mail. I hope to completely pay off my credit card bill this month.

I had it paid off and then added nearly two grand for tooth repairs.

Ashley and I had fun briefing our team from Pelham, GA about Hinduism and Buddhism.

Raja Tim.

Professor Ashley.

China Tim.

Little sweetheart.

Like Mama, like daughters.

Lunch at Penang.

Miles was in the area!

She loves her Daddy! So sweet.

Safari to Asian Square.

Calligraphy at China Town.

Serenity Garden at China Town.

Ashley’s eyes were really bothering her today. After we got the teams sorted out, we went to Alpharetta to see an ophthamalogist. She had extremely dry eyes and just needed some special eye drops. She has to be extra careful to not fall asleep in her contacts and to really clean the containers perfectly. GLAD she’s ok!

The girls were asleep in the car while Ashley went in to see the doctor. I kept the car running with the AC on so they had a nice nap. I studied Swahili some more.

Also did research on what the best shampoos were for getting out tangles. I’ll try this one next.

Deposited checks for Whirlwind.

Dropped off a check for my Treasurer to sign.

Transported squirrel #35 this evening.
Plan on working on the cover for the paperback version of my book this evening. Not sure if it will work of if I need to get a higher definition for the photo.

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:51 pm

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

More progress in Swahili.

Mileage report.

Ashley, the girls and I enjoyed briefing our team from FBC Pelham, AL.

Took them on safari to the Buford Highway Farmers Market.

Always tasty.

Then to the missions!

Ashley had a problem with one of her eyes. I sent her home early to take some allergy medicine and eyedrops and rest.

Just released a new episode of Verbal Surgery -571- “Mountain Bottom.”

Got a couple of new headshots for the cover of my paperback version of Story Tim. Not sure if my camera will shoot it in high enough definition.

Helped my friend Fred Sorrells to get some new equipment for his iPhone.

Never seen this before.

I’ve seen this van a couple of times.

Fantastic clouds.

Gassed up my car. Sudden jump in gas prices.

Transported squirrel #34 to the forest this evening. That’s five in three days.

Will work on seeing if the pictures will work for the book cover, otherwise figure out a Plan B.

Book!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:35 pm

Saturday evening I continued to format the heading for each chapter title. Also added heaaders for page numbers.

My work area.

Studied Spanish and Swahili.

Trasported Squirrels #32 & #33 today.

See the irony? Feeders and traps.

Over a 1/2″ of rain yesterday.

After I took the picture, I cleaned it out.
I recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery. Always fun. It’s called “Birth Mirth.”

I have five episodes in the can. That’s two and a half week’s worth. I need eight to finish off all of July.

I decided to release a paperback version of Story Tim. Even been formatting the book into a 6″ x 9″ framework.
Added numbers to each chapter in the Contents page.

Centered, bold and 14pt font for titles and chapter numbers.

It’s not hard to do, but I had to do every change 69 times. Stay focused and take your time. Get in a rhythm. Figure out faster ways.
I got the paperback version uploaded to Amazon!

I’m going to take some pictures tomorrow for the cover.
Enjoyed playing Battlefront 2 with Muse.
Admin duties now.

Team? Book! 6.30.18

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:55 pm

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning. Woke up around 7am.

Making progress in Swahili.

True.

We thought we had a team in town this weekend. We hadn’t heard from them so we figured there was a good chance of a no show. We’ll set something up later with them! I needed to set up for The Show for our team this Monday.

We went to the Buford Highway Farmers Market for lunch.

Kathy and I came back home after lunch. I had a lot of stuff on my mind to do. Just couldn’t enjoy the idea of Hippo Hop, espcially since Miles was there! Good for him not to always have to share his girls.
Rested. Practiced with the Muse headset. It’s been a lot of fun to see what the brain waves are doing while I’m concentrating.

I’ll work on the book for a while and play games for a while. Good to keep bouncing back and forth. Doesn’t get too tedious.
Today, I took the stereo files and exported them as a mono file which is what Audible wants.

I did all the chapters!
I started to upload them, and found out that I have to have the written version of the book on Amazon before I can upload the audio version. Depending on how long it takes for the upload of the sixty-nine files will determine when I release the audio book version.
I noticed three squirrels at my feeder today. Decided it was time to start transporting them out of the area. I trapped two and released them in a forest about five miles from my house on the other side of the Yellow River.

Cleaned the fish tank.

I spent time working on the paperback book today. I have an official ISBN number!

The Kindle version is different from the print version. It has to be formatted for a 6″ x 9″ size paper. I’m working on getting the pages numbered, and working on the Contents page with that number.

Watered my plants. I think I have one of the most beautiful gardens I’ve ever seen. The minerals and the porcelain really make a difference. The flower have been really exceptional lately. Orchids and the African Violets have been fantastic.

Admin duties now.
I’ll work on getting the page numbers with the Contents page tonight.
I’m thinking of working on the book all day tomorrow to get it done. Next two weeks will be packed with working with the teams.

Podcast! Tire! Girls!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:29 pm

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

Research on the cover for the paper copy of my book, Story Tim.

Released Verbal Surgery -570-

“Test Drive.”

Just click on the title and GROOVE!

Uploaded to server.

Link on Facebook.

I had a nail in my rear passenger side tire. Both the back tires were at the “wear line” on the tread. Went ahead and got those swapped out for some new ones. Saved the $20 that I would have put into reparing the old one.

Studied languages while I was there.

New tires! At least for the rear.

Some animal really dug up the soil under the bird feeder last night.

More Swahili.

The girls came over for the afternoon. Always a blessing. We had water play on the deck with a small sprinkler which they loved. Swinging and lots of toys.

Sweet girls. And funny!

K and I took the girls home around 7pm. Then we went to Piccadilly for supper. Picked up J’s car on the way home. Went to the QT to gas it up and get some glue from the auto parts place to stick the mirror to the windshield. Fell off while I was adjusting it.
Beautiful clouds.
Played some BF2 and worked on admin duties.
We have a team tomorrow morning. Still haven’t gotten a confirmation from them. Hate that.

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

Did my admin duties from yesterday.
Refilled the hummingbird feeders.

Ashley came to T&G to have her new truck checked out.

She got a clean bill of health!
Studied language while I waited for Ashley.

I treated the girls for lunch. Then went to Goodwill and the Dollar Tree while we were waiting for the mechanics to scrutinize Ashley’s new car.

Rained pretty hard today. Looked like some areas were getting flooding conditions.
Playing Battlefront 2.
Admin duties now.

New Car! Girls! Podcast!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:23 am

Wednesday I studied Spanish and Swahili.

Isn’t it obvious?

It’s been a rainy Summer. Another 1/2″ on Tuesday.

Got the newsletters in the mail.

Picked up the girls. Saw the wrecked Veloster. Sad. GLAD Miles was ok! The semi that smashed into his car could have killed him!

GREAT to be with the girls on an exciting CAR BUYING day!

Mike did a good job helping Ashley.

Everyone was happy with the result!

The girls made themselves at home.

This was a very positive experience.

WOOT!

Got gas in Kennesaw before heading back to Stone Mountain.

Traffic was brutal on the way home. Decided to set up The Show and wait for time home to be less. Mr. Google said it would take me 1:15 minutes to get home!

After the set up, only 40 minutes!

Enjoyed playing Battlefront 2.
Waited to Thursday morning to finish my admin duties.

Audio! Girls! Prep! 6.26.18

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:20 pm

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

Finished listening to the fourteen chapters that I re-recorded. Also edited the text version.

You have to be precise with this stuff.

I harvested the Pink Oyster mushroom. What beauty!

I went to get stamps at the post office and saw this.

I watched her paint some of this. Never thought it would say that.
Ball stamps.

You don’t see this every day. Big truck towing the front end of another truck.

Always great to see Ashley and the girls!

Got groceries and went to the Dollar Tree to get equipment for the Block Party this Saturday.

I’m using a Bible story out of this and coloring.

Essentials.

Went to the church and separated the goods into two bags.

Went by the Atlanta Metro Baptist Association office to pick up our newsletters.

Came home to put the labels on the newsletters and stuff the envelopes.

Admin duties now.

Audio Book! Newsletter! Shopping! 6.25.18

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:20 pm

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

The Pink Mushroom has doubled in size every day. Wow!

Went to FBC Mountain Park to work on the audio version of the book. I recorded fourteen of the sixty-four chapters again. I tweaked the contents of the book to make it better.

I set up a little desk. I could hear faint airconditioner sound, but nothing bad.

Did the shopping at Walmart. I liked this mask.

Another partly rainy day.

I was hoping to bike today, but I don’t do it if it’s rained even a little bit. Too dangerous for me.
First day to use my new shopping bags. I’m trying to reduce my plastic footprint.

I have to be careful not to overload them. They can get too heavy.
I ordered new socks. One of my very favorite things.

Wrote and produced my newsletter.

Printed out the labels for the newsletter. Still need to get stamps. And the newsletter has to be printed. Just a 102 this month.
Sent the file to our friend Joel Harrison to print our newsletters.

Worked with the Muse brainwave band. I do the best when I’m playing video games. Super focused and dead calm.

Admin duties now.
Plan on listening to the chapters I recorded this morning.

Sp/Sw! Funeral! Pearl Oyster!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:17 pm

I studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

Making progress in Swahili.

This is how the Pearl Oyster Mushrooms looked this morning.

This is how fast the mushroom is growing since this morning.

I preached at the funeral for my friend Marie Wells. She was the manager at Azalea Place for over 15 years.

It was a beautiful place.

The family was all there.

I also spoke at the graveside service.

Missed the retirement celebration for my friend Carl Barrington. Hated that, but the funeral was more important that I was there.
Enjoyed playing Battlefront. It’s interesting to use the Muse as I play and see the amount of calm that happens during those video games.
Admin duties now.
