Edited the video that I shot for Restoration Church.

I got to FBCD at 9:00. I had just finished setting up when the team arrived 45 minutes early! Wow. That’s a record. We got started about 9:30 AM.
Hot.
Dropped some bug medicine off for the girls. Ashley had already done the procedure.
Processed and deposited checks. Thank you so much, Father!
Listened to Don Cheto on the way home.
Wrote the Thank You letter to Cindy Hunnicut for the team I had the last two days from Restoration Church. It includes the links to the galleries and the video. I consider the team complete when I send that email.
So close.
Every one of us has been #1 during this week.
I had a great time with my team from Bethel Church, AL today! I took them on Safari to China Town and Asian Square.

Woke up this morning to an email from Mint Mobile saying there was a problem with porting the number of my Mom’s land line to her new iPhone 13 mini. I called them and thought we had it squared away. They were supposed to send me an email hours ago with the link to the QR code to get her esim.

Great news!
Logistics. Planning for the team tomorrow. I’ll be by myself.
Hot. Even in the shade.
Gassed up my car and checked the oil.
This group is way closer than normal.
I spoke on Judaism, Christianity and Islam. We had our Red Thread ceremony.
I looked up some concert ticket prices. The cheapest to see Paul McCartney is $325. Wow. Black Suns is another favorite of mine. General Admission is $34. I’ll probably go see them. I think it was the most energetic show I’ve ever been to.
Still working on logistics.
Big thunderstorms blew through last night. Kind of scared Everly.

Took my Mom to see Dr. Fussell. She was the surgeon who removed her gall bladder. Everything looked great! The hardest part was Nana had to walk all the way to the doctor’s office. We were expecting a wheel chair. No such luck. They found one so I could take her to the car. Nearly 800 steps in one whack!
Plans are coming together for the eye doctor visit.
K & I took the grandgirls to eat at Hot and Cold. They like to run afterwards, which I think is crazy.
Went to 5 Below to get a hair brush that Penelope would like. I have a sensitive scalp too. I understand not liking really stiff bristles.
Contacted Piedmont Hospital to set up a bone density scan for my Mom.
Steamy.
Took about an hour to set up the Patient Portal for my Mom at her new doctor’s office. Had trouble getting the email/password log ins to work. Finally did. Which is typical for me. We heard right back from the nurse when we asked a question on the portal so it was definitely worth the hassle.
I spent about an hour working with Mint Mobile and Optimum Internet to get my Mom’s iPhone 13 mini activated with a new esim with the phone number from her house in Georgetown. Sound complicated? It was. I had representatives on the phone with both companies and together we figured out how to do it. One of the problems we had was the name on the account was Al Cummins and not Peggy Cummins. Daddy had set it up a long time ago. I think it’s been squared away now.
When I finally got the jobs finished, I was able to take the girls over to the playground at Stone Mountain Park.
Strength training.
I always emphasize balance.
Keep going.

Got my new passport in! Amen. I’ll need another when I’m 77. The page with the photo is super thick. They must have some kind of RFD device in it is my guess.

Looks wet. I have three teams from this Thursday to next Thursday. Lord willing, it’ll be dry when the teams are at Azalea working with the kids.
Corrected this.
Last minute information.
Put a new 9V battery in the smoke detector in the Fellowship Hall at FBCD.
Took the girls downtown ATL on the Marta train. We sat at the very back. Penelope got scared. The tracks are up in the air and the thing shakes around like it could crash at any moment. I just called Ashley and talked to her about what happened. Everything is cool, it’s just a good opportunity to tell her how brave she was on something really scary.
I saw this by the Marta track.
Taking the Marta is always an adventure.
I love angel wing begonias.
They liked this chandelier.
I like shooting off reflective surfaces.
Fantastic sights all around. How many notice them?
What do you think of these?
How about these?
I like this.
Dogs too.
Had to take a picture of a QR code in order to get into the bathroom.
I sent a document to my Mom’s eye doctor to release her files to her doctors in the ATL.
The girls and I went to Plaza Fiesta to get Ashley’s boots worked on.
Let the Pastor and Church Secretary know that the smoke detector had been serviced.
I do my usual work. Sometimes it’s the best, others it’s not.
Had a good talk about the day’s activities with Ashley. Wanted her to know that Penelope was a little scared but was brave. She also must have dived into the pool at least fifty times. Same for Everly.
K came with me today. We took the grandgirls to Waffle House.
Went to FBC Doraville to set up for the teams coming. We start with a group of middle schoolers on Thursday.
I took the smoke detector in the Fellowship Hall apart because it was chirping. Took the old battery out. I have a fresh alkaline 9V battery for it tomorrow.
Went by my office to check the mail. Processed and deposited checks.
We enjoyed swimming at Briarwood Park. K was the one who really wanted to go. But we went and had fun. The girls practiced learning how to dive. It’s a work in progress.
I rested after the swim and left the door open into Ash/Miles bedroom. Ryder scratches at the door and barks really loudly if he thinks someone is in there. So I left the door open. He came in, checked me out and left. Or so I thought but I was half asleep. He found one of Ashley’s boots as a chew toy. He chewed off one corner of the heel. I took it to my shoe repair guy, but he told me that he needed both boots in order to make them even. I’ll do that tomorrow.
Gassed up the car on the way home and checked the oil.
I’m taking my Mom to her follow up meeting with the gall bladder surgeon on Wednesday.
Lisa Finley sent me this picture of my folks.
I filled out a medical release form for my Mom for her eye doctor in Georgetown, TX. They’ll be sending it to Dr. Briggs office where Ashley works.
Don’t stop. It’s all about longevity and mass repetition.
