Ashley and I briefed our teams on Catholicism today.

We had our commencement service where we pass the baton and say, “It’s up to ME!”

Then they sign the Landing Pad!

The leaders liked the Golden Eggspectations eggs.

Over to Plaza Fiesta to explore its wonders.


I was given a Diet Coke with my name on it. Wow.
I mean out of all the names out there they gave that one to me. Pretty groovy.

Ashley and I then rushed back to the church to start work with a new team from Carmel Baptist Church. They seem to be a really great group!

After the briefing, we took them over to Asian Square. They loved it.

Then on to their first round of missions. We started to late to get more than one site in.

Ash and I shot pictures and video.

Went to Jesse’s house to put together the Mobi-cool and try it out with ice inside. It was astonishingly cool. I think that’s really going to work well to cool off a room.

Then back home to work on admin duties. Finally made it home after 9:00pm.

Ashley and I had fun briefing our teams about Islam and Hinduism this morning.

I love my new inflatable globe.

Then to Al Madina to see what N. Africa and the Holy Land is like.

Over to Global Mall to visit a Hindu Temple.


They were having the “eating rice” ceremony. The priest does a special pooja or prayer for the six month old boy.

We ate at Ashiana’s Indian food restaurant. The kids loved it!

Then to the missions!

I went to Lawrenceville after covering teams to pick up some t-shirts for the teams. Pure Fun is a great partner for us!

Went home and worked on a “mobi-cool” for Jesse. He wanted his version flat black. Ashley’s was chrome and looked like a robot. I love my new handle for using spray paint cans. It’s awesome!

Enjoyed feeding my raccoon this evening. I dig wild life.

Produced Jesse’s newsletter. It’s a good one! Made that into a PDF and sent it to our partner at the Atlanta Metro Baptist Association to print in color for us. Yeah, baby!

Then took them on Safari to Asian Square.

We enjoyed eating Malasian food at Penang with our team from Glynwood.

We’re preparing a new piece of our presentation. I show them the big Elephant Bird egg, then tell them to have Great EGGstectations. A the end of the week them get a Golden Egg of Eggcellence. I’m always coming up with wacky stuff.

Then off to the missions! I checked on the teams serving in the Norcross area.

Stopped at Goodwill to check on Tshirts. And next door to look at antiques. Bought a few cool things for less than $15. Groovy. Today was senior day. She asked me if I was over 55. When I replied that I was I got a 20% discount at both places. Huh. Perhaps I found the advantage of getting older. Discounts.

I stopped at the Hong Kong market. Hadn’t been there in a long time. It’s still not as good as the Buford Highway Farmers Market or Asian Square. I thought this was unusual.

I introduced them to my Aepyornis or Elephant Bird egg. It was around 10 foot tall and weighed over 800 pounds. They were killed out of Madagascar about 1,000 years ago.

After our time together, we took the to the Buford Highway Farmers Market!

Then to the missions!




Did some grocery shopping with Jesse on the way home.

Home now for admin duties.

Sent a letter to the tax commissioner. They forgot to put the sticker on the card they sent me. They’ll get it right next time. Maybe.

Gas prices have gone up about .20 in the last two weeks. YOW!

I just learned 89 names in just under an hour. I need to work on how I do the picture with the name tag so I can do it the most effectively.

K and I ate lunch at Kathmandu Grill and watched the World Cup.

Came home to rest.

Watched the USA vs. Portugal match. Great game.

Enjoyed watching the end of Capt. Phillips with Kathy this evening.

Need rest before the big group tomorrow.

This was a beautiful hibicus, until the squirrels ate it.

Got slightly over 1/2″ of rain yesterday.

Finished burning the DVD for ACCCNW. Got it packaged up and ready to mail.

Went for a 5.06 mile run. Pretty hot, but some shady sections. Flowers were gorgeous!

Blackberries are ripening.

Came home to shower and rest. Ate lunch with Kathy and Jesse.

Sugar ran off yesterday. Saw a poster for her being found. K went to go get her. Crazy dog.

Enjoyed playing with bubbles. I’ve been trying new methods to light up the bubbles.

I liked the sound of this. It just made scents.

Worked on cleaning my carpets today. Took longer than usual because the unit I rented malfunctioned. Had to take it back and get another.

I pre-treat the stains with oxyclean and scrub with a stiff broom.

Then come back with the carpet cleaner.

Looks better.

Also picked up another light for my Venus Fly Traps.

Edited the video I shot for the Atlanta Chinese Christian Church North West.

Rained hard for about twenty minutes.

Enjoyed supper with Kathy.

Watched the Middle.

It got hot. But it was, “surprisingly cool in the shade.”

Then to Lawrenceville to pick up a stack of “Yeah, Baby” T Shirts. Always good to see our friend Todd Harrison there!

Picked up some supplies at Walmart.

Then to the missions to check on the teams.

They seem to be doing a great job.

Came home to work on a portable AC unit for Ashley. It involves using a fan to blow air into a cooler through cold bottles. Then cutting a couple of vents to release the air.

Enjoyed watching Perception with Kathy.

I’m glad we have this here in Atlanta.

Dropped off the financial report that Ashley produces to our treasurer.

Ashley and I had fun with our team this morning!

We briefed them on Buddhism.

Then took them to Asian Square.








Always fun!

Then to the missions to work with the kids.

Bagged up clothes that were given to us and took them to St. Vincent de Paul. We offered the clothes for free to the community. Not much was taken.

We got a couple of Vietnamese sandwiches and took them to Jesse when we went to Azalea.

Ashley and I also contacted 21 different apartment complexes to confirm our teams for the next ten days.
