Had a fun day today with my family!
I enjoyed lunch with Jesse. Great BBQ from Crazy Ron’s. Went to the Confederate cemetery while they fixed our sandwiches.

Then to Stone Mountain to climb with Kathy.

Always beautiful!

I loved the way the water runs down the mountain.

Horizontal tree.

One of my favorite carvings.

I like this one too.

Had a good time watching Psych with K and J!
Admin duties now.

It was great to see our good friend Dion from Moultrie, GA today!

He’s bringing folks from his church to work with us during the Spring break. Excellent! We also took him to White Windmill–a little Korean restaurant. Ashley got this pastry.

Helped the kids at the mission with their homework.

We’re working with the 4th graders on their Solar System project. I was glad we had the internet to help us get the colors and scale right.

I think they’re doing a good job!

This represents Mercury.

Rainy, drizzly cold weather today. I always call this, “Europe Weather.” Ashley said when she was little that any person they didn’t like they called, “cold weather.” I thought that was funny.
I liked this sign at QT.

It’s been wet! Rained about an inch. Excellent!

Worked on a new podcast this morning!

Always one of my favorite things to do! I really like this one. It’s called “Flip the Switch!” Click on the title and start the change you want NOW!
The fourth graders have a big Solar System project due in a about a week. I think I have everything they need for it now. I have to cut the boxes down to size. Then we’ll hang the planets through a hole in the box.

Had to go to Lowes to get black paint.

On Monday they’ll paint the boxes black and start building the different planets to scale.
Lots of work at the mission!

Came home to work on admin duties. Ash and I worked on Team Assignments. I think we have it squared away now.

This morning Kathy, Jesse and I went to go visit our good friends Bill and Debra at Brookhaven Christian Church.

They had an interesting multimedia approach to a service.

It was quite good, but I really don’t enjoy being in a sanctuary that seems dark and closed off from the outside. That’s a fairly typical thing in contemporary worship because it uses slides and lights and video.
We had Vietnamese food for lunch.

Also went over to visit with Ian North. He hurt his knee running an ultra-marathon in Savannah yesterday. He seems to be doing ok now.
Home now to work on admin duties and rest.

Enjoyed a restful day today. We had fun eating in Lawrenceville.

Kathy, Jesse and I went to see Django Unchained. I think Tarantino did a great job on this movie.

Not exactly a chick flick, however. Kathy was less impressed.
Admin duties now and time with K.

I had a fun “Me Day” today!
Recorded a new podcast! Take a listen to “Love Levers!” Just click on the title!

Got to do some of my favorite things.
Took a road trip to Woodstock to see Mysteria.

It’s a store with unusual objects. Here are a few I thought were particularly bizarre.

These were actual human remains. Yow!

Also checked out Antiques on the Square in Marietta, my favorite store.
Finished my ME Day with several hours at Barnes and Noble. Picked up Seth Godin’s new book. He’s my favorite author.

I was part of the Kickstarter project for this book!
Also looked through a history book on Ben Franklin and DaVinci. I’ve always loved this picture.

Met up with Kathy at Azalea. We were invited to have supper with some of the Bengali families.

Came home to finish up my admin duties and enjoy watching Castle with Kathy.
Also gave myself a haircut. Groovy!
I saw this frozen drink at a gas station. I didn’t try it.

Worked on setting up the schedules for the Winter and Spring conferences this morning. We’re looking forward to a great year of sharing about our ministry. I’m especially looking forward to our time together with Peachtree Corners Baptist Church and Roswell United Methodist Church.
Went to Walmart to pick up supplies for the house.

Jesse and I met up with Ashley at Azalea. Had a great time with the kids.

Came home to work on admin duties.
Enjoying watching a movie in Hindi with Kathy this evening, “The Three Idiots.” Bollywood. What a hoot!
I thought the lichens growing on this dead tree branch were cool.

Did you know that you can have your genome tested? 23 and Me is a genetic company that can see what your heritage is and what possible disease traits you may have inherited. They’ve marked down their offering from $300 last year to $100! I thought it’s well worth knowing that info. I got the service for both Kathy and I.

Worked on updating contacts this morning.
Set up a missions conference that I’ll be speaking at in March. Atlanta Chinese Christian Church North has worked with us for years. Looking forward to working with the whole church.
Had a good lunch with Kathy and Jesse.
J and I worked on getting his banking cards reissued. It all takes time.

We also went to the Apple Store to get his iPhone replaced. He had a cracked screen. Fortunately, he had insurance so it’ll only cost us $50 once it’s all reconciled. We need our phones!
Worked with the kids this afternoon at the mission. Always fun. Miles came too!

We also had two new volunteers from Perimeter church. Awesome.

Enjoyed visiting with the kids. They’re always funny!
Home now to finish up my admin duties.
Looking forward to watching TV with K in a bit.
Jesse and I saw this hawk on a dead pigeon today. Wow! It fought off another hawk to get it.

Magic? Really?
