J and I had a fun day!

We had a delicious country lunch at Green Tomato.

Then to Ally’s Attic, a consignment antique place.

I bought this for $5. This was my first camera! Good ol’ Kodak Instamatic 104s! I remember shooting pictures with this camera of the flamingos in Nakuru, Kenya when I was 6.

We worked on producing the newsletters today.

Ashley printed her copy out and worked on our Financial Report that we do every two weeks.

I went to Staples to print out my copies.

Got some bad news while I was over there. Our Staples is going out of business. Sad to see people lose their jobs right before Christmas.

Went to the mission with Ashley and Jesse!

We finished folding up the newsletters, and worked on homework. I couldn’t believe that some of the kids actually had homework!

Deanne Waldrop from First Baptist Atlanta brought us some stockings and candy for the kids.

I told all the kids the story of Christmas. They were pretty attentive.

Then we gave numbers to all the kids–there were over 70 that showed up.

We let the kids come in four at a time to pick out a little gift from our store.



All the kid about three gifts each.

Special thanks to my friend Doug Allison who made it possible to purchase so many presents for the kids!

Everyone seemed happy!







It was about as stress free as we could make it for having a bunch of kids clamoring for presents.

Kathy and I have enjoyed watching the second disk of the Mentalist first season . What a great show.

Couldn’t believe how mild it was today!

Worked on the January edition of the newsletter. I decided it was better to get it done early, then have Miles mail it right after Christmas.

We don’t want to carry a big box along with us to Texas.

Went to the Post Office to get stamps.

Walmart for groceries.

I like these little cars. It’s always parked at Walmart near the Auto department.

Ate at Cicis.

Somebody likes pizza.

J and I went to Azalea to help the kids with their homework.

We worked on labeling for the newsletter.


We enjoy giving the kids doughnuts for helping with the labeling. Actually, we give them to all the kids whether they helped or not.

Then off to buy Christmas gifts for the kids at the mission.

K and I enjoyed watching the Mentalist Season One on DVD. My favorite show.

Ashley and Miles both were there today, so that helped out a lot.

I liked Rashawn’s device to see how the little dipper rotates on it’s base star.

Kathy and I just watched The Help on Netflix. Powerful stuff.

We dropped off some for Ashley and Miles.

We had visitors today from the North American Mission Board: Tobin and Aslam.

We gave out recordings of the Christmas story to all our Bengali friends. The DVDs were in 16 Asian languages, including Bengali.

All my friends seemed to really appreciate the gift.

Came home and watched Super 8 with Kathy. I liked it.

Admin duties now. Yeah!

It’s the annual Mammoth Mineral, Fossil and Gem show! Groovy, baby!

I really enjoy touching and lifting the big meteors and fossils.

And the minerals are so beautiful!

We enjoyed looking at the fossils the most.

I enjoyed watching part of the Empire Strikes Back last night. I’m a huge Yoda fan. That’s where he makes his first appearance. Jim Henson ran him as a puppet. Now he’s done with CG. These are some of my favorite shots.

Helped Ashley get some furniture for the Cottage.

Had a fun luncheon with my friends from the Chamblee Doraville Property Managers Association.

Always good to see partners!

Picked up supplies at Walmart.

Including bandaids for my thumb.

SO glad that my back wasn’t really bothering me today. PTL!

Met up with Ashley and Jesse later and worked with the kids at the mission.

I liked Aylene’s coloring.

My management partners gave me the remaining food from the Christmas party for the kids. They loved it !
