Good ideas for starting off the new year right!

I thought the grandgirls were going to spend the night with us tonight. Miles got off work instead.

Went to Goodwill and Walmart to pick up some gifts for people. Brought them home and wrapped everything. I found myself a nice Costa Rica coffee mug.

Blew the driveway and porch.

Keep going, it’s a new week.

K and I discussed plans for the day.

I took K to eat at El Guero. It’s right by Publix. I went there to pick up some meds for J. There was a problem with one of them, but the pharmacist ran it through their insurance and it turned out to be only $30 for three months.

We took some chicken soft tacos over to K’s sister, then came home. I enjoyed resting, playing some games, and listening to music.

I’ll come in #2 this week, probably.

Shortest day of the year! I like them getting longer. Amen.

K’s truck got the brakes fixed. Little over $700. That’s about $1,500 I’ve spent on her truck in the last month or so.

Took a picture of one of the tires to send to my tire guy to have him start looking for some good deals. That’s the next big expense.

Temperature is really dropping. Very windy. Gusts up to 30 mph. I shifted my planning to have the party inside today. It would have blown plates everywhere.

Good talk with my Mom on the way home.

Had a fun time at the Mission for our Christmas party. We had about thirty people in all including the Moms. We decorated and ate cookies, sang “Silver Bells” that I wrote, and told the Christmas story. We had enough gifts for most kids to go through the line about four times. Everyone was happy!

I’ll have a pizza party for the middle schoolers in January. They don’t really care about toys.

Since I was able to put $4,000 towards credit card debt, I’m able to get K’s brakes done. Called Garmon this morning to get everything set up.

Trying to figure out with the church secretary when I can get the newsletters printed off.

Nice chat with my Mom on the way to my office at the church.

Picked up the toys I had in storage at the church and got them in my car. Also checked the mail.

Took the toys to the Mission and got the first round set up. I have all the food in my car. I plan to have the cookie decorating part outside. Less mess. Amen.

Picked up the girls at the bus and took them home. They enjoyed playing teacher and reading me books.

Dropped off K’s truck at Garmon so they can start working on it first thing tomorrow morning.

Love the colors in my flowerbed.

Today I kept working on getting ready for the Christmas party at Azalea. I went by Walmart to pick up supplies and Goodwill for plushies.

I still have more toys to pick up at the church. I’ll get that stuff tomorrow and set up the tables inside the mission. I won’t do the after-school program tomorrow because I can’t keep a bunch of toys in there with kids. I look forward to having the party right as soon as the kids get off the bus Friday.

Looks like everything is going to work out for Jessi and her taxes/health insurance. Hope so. Had a great talk with our tax guy. He assured me everything would be fine.

I cleared some leaves off of one of my azalea bushes.

Had a great time with Kathy and the grandgirls.

We took them to the Downwind restaurant at the PDK Airport. I thought this door was funny. I know a lot about that subject.

I dropped K and the girls at their house and went to the Mission to help the kids. I wasn’t expecting to have much work this evening. One of my older girls needed help with a project on human rights. I think she’ll do well. It’s due tomorrow.

The other kids played games or colored.

The church secretary reminded me how bad the mail is.

This will be close.

This could be hard going.

The mail has been really bad. DeJoy is an idiot.

Went to the Dollar Tree to start collecting things for the Christmas party on Friday.

Deposited the checks I processed at my office yesterday.

Picked up the girls at the bus. Took them home to check on the pup. We all went to the Mission later.

The kids enjoy doing art projects.

Listened to Piolin on the way home. Traffic was brutal.

Sent an email to one of our donors who just had surgery.

I filled out a form for Roopville Road BC this evening. I’ll be going to their Missions Conference next year.

Picked up Everly at the bus. We checked on Ryder. Good news! The owner said it was fine that they have a dog in their house! Amen. Then we went to Huntley Hills Elementary to pick up Penelope after Drama Club.

The girls stayed with their Dad at home, while I went to the Mission to help the kids. Not much homework. Last week of school before Christmas break is usually like that.

Went by my office to pick up checks and process them. Thank you, Father! I’ll deposit them tomorrow. I don’t like going to the ATM after dark.

I took K for Indian food for lunch. Very good. They had remodeled.

Did some laundry for K.

Watered my indoor garden.

This is a very good company. I’ve been enjoying their Jasmine wax melts. I’m trying Gardenia next.

Did K’s laundry.

Took K to lunch at American Deli. Next door at GameStop, a guy had stolen a car and crashed it into the door of the store. The thief went in and stole some game systems.
