Clocks! Feeders! Shots! Plants! Podcast! 11.2.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 3:30 pm

OYB!

Español!

Cool. Sprinkled a tiny bit.

K and I went to Walmart to get shots. I got Tetanus and Pneumonia shots. K received Covid and Tetanus. Gotta help, right?

While I was at Walmart, I got the candy for our party at the mission on Monday.

Cleaned and refilled the birdbaths.

Leaves are really falling. That’s a day’s worth.

Changed all the clocks in the house. I have five in my room! The one in my car was a little tricky.

Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “One More, Won More.” Solid.

Watered my plants. I have a lot in the cold months.

Very tight competition in the Duolingo leagues this week.

I’ve enjoyed playing this Mah Jong inspired matching game.

Marcus! Roof! Leaves! 11.1.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:07 pm

OYB!

I repaired the two holes where the Amazon tag had come off. I used Silicone adhesive and two strips of milk jug plastic. Should be waterproof.

Español!

Sorry to hear this.

Had a good talk and prayer time with my buddy Marcus who recently had a bad fall.

Wow.

Blew the roof and the gutters. Fortunately, it’s been dry so it was pretty easy to blow the leaves out.

Better now.

Also blew the deck, driveway, and the street outside my yard.

Also swept the kitchen.

Anthony! Newsletter! Bradley! Tour! 10.31.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:08 pm

I got a cutting of plumeria from my Mom’s plant. A stupid deer had broken the branch off and chewed on its leaves. The powder is supposed to help with the rooting process.

OYB!

I took K over to pick up her truck. It was about $750.

Anthony’s book “Alter Your Reality” is out now. Had a good talk with him.

I got in touch with my roommate from Baylor, Dave Reiner. We went to ComeHoming together 20 years ago today.

I labeled and stuffed the envelopes last night.

Went to the Post Office and got them in the mail.

Bradley Isbell is with Student Life, a short term mission organization. They’re looking to establish a mission site here. I took him on Safari to Al Madina, Kitab book store, BAPS Temple, Global Mall, BHFM, and Plaza Fiesta. We also met the kids at the bus. Miles had picked up the girls at school early today.

It was a good time. I’m always proud of how much cool stuff my city has.

It’s Diwali now, a major Hindu holiday. The BAPS temple was absolutely gorgeous.

Global Mall was also really cool. I think Hindu art is so intriguing.

I love the crafts at Discolandia in Plaza Fiesta.

Ashley left me a nice note when I got back to the Mission at Azalea.

Helped the kids at the mission. One girl had a lot. They are enjoying doing art projects.

Deposited checks.

Don Cheto.

I put Servant Life on my newsletter list.

There were several ladies at the BHFM from Turkey. I wish I had studied up a bit. I got out Maribah at least.

I was glad that Bradley had a good time.

Just don’t stop.

Laundry! Plants! Newsletters! PEKJ! 10.30.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:08 pm

Sent email to the Brothers. It has the video and photos that I shot.

I noticed that the tag for my suitcase had come off. It just said Amazon Basics. I’m going to glue a piece of plastic over it with silicon dap. I may do multiple layers.

OYB!

Beautiful weather.

Did a big load of laundry. Nine days worth. That’s rare for me.

The trays of water that I have for the carnivores were dry, but the plants still seemed moist. Filled them up with distilled water.

Full speed ahead.

Got the trash out.

I got in touch with Tim Deter. I have a solid date and time to get the insurance set up.

Wrote and produced my newsletter.

Got the letter to our church secretary. She had them printed off fast.

Jessi came with us to pick up the girls at the bus.

J needed to get some blood work and a physical done.

I took the girls to eat at Waikiki BBQ.

They liked the coconut and chocolate mousse cakes a lot.

I set up the Earnify app that gives me .10 off on gas. I got it as a perk from Amazon Prime.

Gassed up my car and checked the oil.

Went to the Post Office for stamps.

Jacob & Liz! Back to the ATL! 10.30.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:05 am

After getting into Austin eight hours later than supposed to, I’m glad the government is doing this. Southwest gave me $100 towards me next flight for all my trouble.

OYB!

It was great to have Jacob and his wife Liz to bring their little baby Clark over for me to see. What a blessing for the new generations!

Keep going!

My brother Jim took me over to the airport yesterday around 2PM. Got on the flight and landed back in Atlanta around 8PM. Finally back to Doraville where K picked me up. Got home around 9PM. Long day. Great time seeing family and friends!

Did some research into some of the bits we did with the NoZe Brotherhood. I’m going to work on a video for the current group to show them some things they could use with the crowd.

Georgetown Fossils! Ash/Everly! 10.28.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:39 pm

Checked in to my flight to the ATL for tomorrow. Hope I have better luck that last time!

Thoughts on retirement.

Wrote an email to Bradley about coming to see me on Thursday.

I contacted the NoZe brothers I met this weekend and sent them a copy of my book Story Tim.

OYB!

Español!

Wouldn’t want to live at this house. Spooky.

I looked for fossils and artifacts near the San Gabriel river. Beauty all around!

You can see where the Tonkawa Indians were shaping this. If it doesn’t turn out right, they just throw it down for me to find approximately 600 years later.

I love the way the limestone and water have worked together.

My path today for the fossils.

Went around downtown Georgetown, TX.

Nana and I had a FaceTime with Everly and Ashley.

Had a good meeting with some of my Texas supporters today at my Mom’s house. Guests included Charlie and Jodie Steger, Mark and his sister Rebecca Sutton, and Barbara Hays. Good times.

Helped my Mom clean up after the party.

Main Street BC! Joe & Beth! 10.28.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:30 am

OYB!

Español! Another milestone.

Spoke at the seniors SS class at Main Street BC. Saw Jim McKneely. Glad Nana got to see her friends too!

Went to Pinthouse Pizza to hang out with Jim and Kathy in Round Rock.

Joe and Beth Dickie came over to see us from Austin. Nana made veggie curry. Joe made an apple crumble. Everything was delicious. I enjoyed the company and giving them some gifts.

Helped Nana clean up the kitchen and put stuff away. I talked to Jim and Kathy about Nana coming to live with me when she is ready to move out of her house.

Contacted many of the Brothers telling them how much I enjoyed hanging out with them and offering them a PDF of Story Tim.

100th Birthday! ComeHoming! 10.25-26.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:17 pm

Friday, I traveled up to Waco to go to ComeHoming! There was a good group of Exiles that got together.

Had a fun time with the Brothers at the Bonfire and at the Parade.

The Noble NoZe Brotherhood turned 100 this year! Glad to be part of the celebration.

After the parade, I met up with Marshal and Mary Jane and Dan for lunch at Kitoks which was excellent.

We also went to the Mammoth site outside of Waco which was very interesting.

Got back to Georgetown about 4:00 PM. Really tired! Took a short nap then caught up on the blog. What a terrific time!

Atlanta! Dallas! Austin! Georgetown! 10.24.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:03 pm

Happy Birthday to sweet Jessi!

I set this up.

OYB!

Español!

I got to the airport about three hours early. They finally started to load the plane and everyone was nearly on board. They then made everyone get back off and had to wait about five hours to catch another plane first to Dallas, and then on to Austin.

Finally got into Austin around 11:30 PM. Got my bag and caught an uber with an Afghani named Najeeb who took me on into Austin. Wow. That was a long trip.

While I was at the airport, I walked 1.90 miles.
