Podcast! Coats! Adam!

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:47 am

Worked on a new podcast this morning. Oh, YEAH!

It’s a new favorite and one of my most important recordings. “Label Fables!” Just click on the title and start groovin’ baby!

Did the grocery shopping. Didn’t take too long. But the traffic in the aisles was worse than 285.

Great to have Ashley and Miles with me at the mission today.

They sure were nice to get them for the kids!

Had a meeting with my partner Adam Coleman. I’m helping him get his organization situated in Clarkston.
a

Admin duties including writing a reference letter for a former student of mine.

Enjoyed watching the Last Lions with Kathy. Story of a lioness and her three cubs in Botswana. Powerful stuff! Highly recommend it!

Gave Kathy a haircut. It’s SO hard to stifle my urge to say really funny things that would freak her out, like, “Oh my God, I used the wrong size. I’ve really messed up.” Or “Oops! It’ll look ok in a few weeks.” Or “Perhaps you’ll start a new trend.” Or, “It’s only bad when you look at it in the mirror.”

I did a good job and she was happy. She has no idea the humor she missed.

PCBC!

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:15 am

Had a fun time with Kathy, Ashley and Miles today at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church.
p
We spoke to the College class.
a
a

Service was good. A man who had converted from Islam to Christianity was the main speaker.

I liked the little kids singing the best.

Always good to see friends!

This dog was being trained to help handicapped people.

She could open doors, turn on lights, find the remote and change channels!

I’m not making this up!

d

I thought the crystals on the glass were cool.
i

And how the reflection of the tree branches in the glass looked somewhat like the crystals.

Newsletters! Furnace! Bikes! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:30 pm

Worked on my newsletters this morning. Every February edition I send with the newsletter a page that asks “Stay on the Team.” If I don’t hear back from them, they drop of the list. Saves time and money.
l
My friend Al Johnson came by to fix our furnace.
f
It can get mighty cold! The ignitor was broken. Al is a great guy who worked with me on my first major mission construction project back in 1999! Give him a call if you have heating or air conditioning problems.
ac

He stressed the importance of changing the filters. Got more!
f

Also got a new binder for the hard copy of the newsletters while I was at Walmart.
w
Kathy and I took our bikes to the bike doctor. My rear wheel has a major bend in it.
b
They told me it wouldn’t be a problem to fix. I’m pulling for them!
b
Over to the mission to work with the kids. Always fun!
r
a

It was good to see Abraham and his big brother Andreas today. I remember when Andreas was the size of his little brother. I’ve always liked him.
a

Thanks to Suburban Rentals I have enough chairs at my mission. I told the boys to take several up to the laundrimat for the residents to sit on while they waited.

a

K and I ate a Mohosana’s home this evening. It was fun to see the family again.

v
r

She’s actually fasting during the day. She missed some days during Ramadan because of an illness. She’s making up for those missed days.

Here’s her calendar that tells her when she can start eating.
c

Rainy day here in the ATL. Made driving home slow.

Admin duties.

Stomach is not digging the Bengali food right now. Bahd luck.

Color! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:04 pm

This morning I finished my newsletter and sent it to my friend Joel Harrison with the Atlanta Metro Baptist Association. They printed the newsletter in color.
n
I think it looks amazing!

Went to help the kids at the mission.
d
m
f
b

Didn’t have any helpers today. I don’t get worried about it. We always get through it! I actually left the mission at 6:15pm! Normally we get out of there around 7pm and that’s with 2-3 extra helpers.

Beautiful evening. Mild.

I saw this car this afternoon. Looks like the future!

Not an easy word to spell!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:35 pm

Got to eat lunch with my brother David Doverspike today. Always great to see him and his sweet wife Debi!
d
We met up with Al Gilbert from the North American Mission Board. Extremely likable guy. Really enjoyed talking with him.
a
Got stamps for the labeling project for our newsletters.
s
Went over to the Atlanta Baptist Association to drop off some paper for them to copy our newsletter on.

Kids helped me with the labels.
j

e

I got them doughnuts for helping. I didn’t buy the kind that has “everything” in it. Not sure that’s a good idea.
c

Then on to homework!
c

The ESL classes are going GREAT! Mothers seem to really enjoy the classes.
e

Have you noticed I like sunsets?

Are you smarter than a preschooler?

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:54 pm

Sure had a lot of rain this weekend. Over 2 1/2″!
r
Fed the birds this morning. I smear the suet on the side of the tree.
s
Lots of seeds!
s
Did some reading. I’m especially enjoying Guy Kawasaki’s book “Enchantment.” I read a lot of marketing books.

Met up with Ash and Miles. Went to the mission to help the kids.

He’s off to California for a trip!

Kathy and I enjoyed a nice weekend together.

We stopped at Dwarf House along the way.

Had a nice chat with one of my best friends from Baylor this afternoon. Always good to keep in touch with folks!

Delivered the financial report to our treasurer. THANKS again to Ashley for helping with that duty!

Home now to work on admin duties and relax.

I’ll be waking up at 3am to take Jesse over to Hartsfield for his flight to San Diego tomorrow morning. Early!

Kathy and I plan on going up to N. Georgia tomorrow for a few days. T/K weekends rock!

I liked Giselle’s picture.
g
And these sunset pix!
