We heard sounds coming down the chimney last night. No, not Santa Claus, raccoons! I saw two of them leave through a hole in the siding. I quickly nailed up some plywood to seal the holes. We heard another one and I opened it up again. A third one came out. I put powder down so we could see them leaving or trying to get back in.
Vocabulario!
OYB!
Not quite as cold today.
Called my buddy Anthony in England. Marcus was with him too.
Español!
This morning, I checked on the chimney. The raccoons hadn’t been able to get back in, but they did try and chew through another board. I nailed a board up there as well.
Paw print.
I bought a skill saw so I can cut pieces to protect the chimney.
I contacted one of the towing companies that works for Kars 4 Kids. They told me I had to be there when they picked up the vehicle. I called K4K and told them I needed a company that didn’t require me to be there. I’ll call the other guys on Friday.
K’s health insurance from before she hit 65 wasn’t canceled. I’ll have to figure that out with them when I have K with me.
Some really good students this week. Doubt I’ll be in the top three. No big deal.
Super cold today. I still studied Spanish outside on the porch. Brisk.
I got in touch with our health insurance agent about K not getting her card yet. I called Devoted Health but I needed K to be there with me when I talk to them.
PE and I took Nana to the eye doctor. It was super cold. She seemed to be seeing a little better today. Amen!
Set up another appointment for two months. We already had one for next month. Can’t rush treatment!
Went by FBCD on the way home from the doctor. Picked up checks. Processed and deposited them.
Worked on reimbursement checks: mileage and internet.
I’ve been suffering from my exposure to poison ivy. I kind of forget just how bad it is until I get it again. Horrible.
All of K’s stuff is in the Honda now. I’m working on getting the Expedition donated with Kars 4 Kids.
Looked over some forms for K.
Sent some info to a team leader.
Probably won’t crack the top three this week. We’ll see.

I looked at this all morning long. It was enough to make me keep working on the Monkey Grass project.
OYB!
Beautiful weather.
Español!
Scales.
Fun chat with Anthony.
Laundry.
Listened to Don Cheto while I harvested the monkey grass.
Raked the area I was planning on harvesting first.
Dig it up, clean it off. Stack it.
Then I shake off the dirt from the roots and pile them up carefully.
Once you remove the monkey grass, there is very little left.
There are two types of Monkey Grass, the spreading and the clumping varieties. Mine is the spreading variant. It sends out tendrils which then grows another plant.
Total amount removed and space cleared.
Added water. I’ll transplant them tomorrow I hope.
Took Nana for her hair wash and dry. Then to El Torreros for enchiladas y sopapilla al modo.
Keep going. Feeding neurons.

This was a bummer. I was really looking forward to playing Arc Raiders last night. So it goes.
OYB!
Eye doctor next week for Nana.

Perfect weather. I really enjoyed being outside today. Even though the yard work was hard. I sent the weather pic to my buddy Anthony in Celsius.
Ashley sent a package to my house. She thought it was the present for me. Turned out to be drinkable skin tan. Not for me. Dude. I’m darker than most of the kids at the Mission.
I listen to Don Cheto while I’m working.
First, I dig a set of holes about 12″ to 18″ apart. I dig a chunk of soil out of the yard. Then put the plants along one side and fill the hole back up.
I did three buckets full.
Cleaned up and watered the new transplants.

Took my carnivores back outside for a week. They’ll come back in on Sunday before it freezes again.
I’m back to the Monkey Grass project. I still need to fill in the north part by the driveway and the section with the Pink Magnolias near the street. Then I’ll consider the project completed.
I let my neighbor know that I’d be back in his yard again.
Picked up the trash containers from the street.
Listened to Don Cheto while I worked.
I’m moving this section of monkey grass to my front yard.
First part of the job is to rake all the leaves out of the way. Then pull all the English Ivy up. What’s left is just the money grass.
Put all the plants that I harvested in my Gorilla Cart. Filled the cart with water to keep the plants moist.
Brought all my tools to the front in preparation for planting the monkey grass near the driveway tomorrow.
Watered the plants in my green room.
Keep going.

Went to DQ to pick up an ice cream birthday cake for Jesus!
Went to Publix to check on meds for J and pick up some scratch offs for the party.
Vacuumed the house.
K did a good job getting Big Red cleaned out. Everly and I helped moving the heavier stuff. She’s been a faithful transport for our family for the last fifteen plus years.
We parked Big Red at Ann’s house till Kars for Kids can pick it up. We’ve donated a lot of cars to them over the years.
I took Everly to the Doggy Park. I make her obstacle courses. We rarely use the playground as it was designed.
I got exercise walking around the park.
Ash and Miles came over and brought pizza and goodies. The girls were SO happy to see them!
Girls talent show.
Keep going.

We left the Expedition at the Doggy Park last night because we couldn’t get it started. I got a message from the police that evening. K called them first thing this morning and left a note on her truck.
I thought Eric Barker’s blog was interesting. I’ve had a few lucid dreams.
OYB!
Beautiful day.
Went to Ann’s house to pick up my Honda CR-V. It fired up with only a slight bit of hesitation. Went back to my house to get K. Then to the park to jump off the Expo. She fired right up. Cable had some corrosion on it.
Took the truck to Garmon’s to get checked out. Needs a new battery and cables. Will cost about $350. Not sure yet whether we should invest more money in her. My gut says no.
Took the girls out for Hot N Cold.
Then to the playground at Stone Mountain.
Final stop was the 1,000,000 sq ft Amazon facility near Stone Mountain. They call it ATL2. It’s hard to get the scope of its size. We will schedule a tour another time. We just checked out the main entrance.
New week, same result.
Beautiful sunset.
