Rockbridge BC! Transplanting! 3.24.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:34 pm

Consistant effort.

Cool.

OYB!

Español!

Hiked .57 miles.

K and I went to Rockbridge BC this morning. Good to see friends.

He preached on the 12 disciples and their view of the cross.

Always learning.

Beauty.

Watered the upstairs plants.

Got my gear together, began raking the area that I harvested the monkey grass from.

I collected over one hundred plants.

I put the plants in a five gallon bucket with water.

Dug shallow holes for the plants.

Watered all the transplants. It’s a substantial area and I did it pretty fast.

You can see on the left side of the map where I was getting the plants and then on the right sight where I was planting them.

Downloaded the episode of Verbal Surgery I recorded yesterday onto my Mac. Then Uploaded it to my Facebook account.

I’ll come in second this week.

Did some research on the church coming tomorrow.

Walk! Grass Transplant! 3.23.24\

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:18 pm

OYB!

Español!

Walked .81 miles.

Picked up big branches and sticks in the back yard.

Worked on the transplanting monkey grass to my front yard from my backyard fence area. First I got the equipment together, then raked the part I decided to dig up.

Put all the plants in a five gallon bucket with water.

Raked the area in the front yard where I would put the plants, then dug up small holes to put them in.

I planted them firmly then watered them.

I dug up and transplanted about 75 plants.

Hiked .97 miles.

I always appreciate feedback on my podcast. I recorded a new one today called “Matter of Time.”

Not sure why they’re not delivering this package.

Push.

Walk! Español! Rain! Pollen! 3.22.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:12 pm

Español!

I hope to talk to these Bluehost guys tomorrow.

OYB!

PBJs for J!

Cloudy and eventually turned rainy.

Hiked .79 miles.

Got a charger for Penelope’s tablet.

Here’s the path my lost package is taking. Went to Memphis and now back to Palmetto, GA.

I sent the Biden campaign an email about the bad mail situation in Atlanta. I was hoping he could get the postal workers their jobs back.

LOT of pollen in the air. It makes cool patterns in the little runoff streams.

Learning the words to this song.

Listened to Don Cheto.

I’ve been enjoying watching Paragliding Speed Flying videos.

Walk! Anthony! Español! PE! Gymnastics! 3.21.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:16 pm

OYB!

Nakuru weather.

Español!

Had a fun chat with my buddy, Anthony. He and his wife are in Portugal now on holiday.

Did my laundry.

Hiked 2.73 miles.

The girls and I ate at Taco Veloz then went to the gym for their class.

Hard to get good shots when they’re pretty still and no one is running between us.

Came back to the mission to help the kids with their homework. I was there until 8:20 this evening. Penelope forgot her water bottle.

Went to my office after I cleaned up the mission. I had to move a LOT of stuff from my office to my storage room. Took about six trips. Monday morning I’ll get over there about 9:00 AM and set everything up. I’d rather do it this evening than have to get there extra early.

New Honda! PEK! Azalea! 3.20.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:32 pm

Just keep going.

I wrote some thank you notes to a couple of supporters.

OYB!

Español!

One of my board members, Pat Barrington is helping the ministry get a new (used) car. Our friend Marlon from church did a great job going to Birmingham, buying it from an auction, then fixing it up.

It’ll probably take a few weeks to get the title. It’s a 2011 Honda CRV with 157,000 miles. I should get years of service. Thank you, Father for blessing me with this gift.

The azaleas in my yard are so beautiful.

Never seen this before. Guy on a bike, pushing a bike, while carrying a bike on his back.

I drove my new car home. K helped me get the Mercury that I had parked in front of Pat’s house.

After eating, we picked up the girls at the bus and took them to the Downwind restaurant at the PDK airport. The girls enjoyed eating chicken nuggets and watching planes land. It was super active. I bet we saw over fifty planes take off or land while we were there.

Everly’s art.

Helped the kids at the mission. It was really wild today.

Went by my office to check the mail.

Jon! PE! 57th Fighter Group! AZ! Bank! 3.19.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:01 pm

Keep going.

OYB!

Español!

Hiked .80 miles.

Had a fun lunch with my buddy, Jon Paul today. He’s been such a great support to me over the years.

Chatted with my tax guy. Jon and I are trying to figure out exactly what we are supposed to tell the payroll people.

Good talk with my Mom. Always a blessing.

Picked up the grandgirls at the school bus and went to the 57th Fighter Group restaurant. I’ve never taken them there before.

Cool WWII stuff. They tried to make it look like Europe.

I wish my wisteria would bloom this year.

Helped the kids at the mission.

Went by the my office to check the mail. Deposited checks. I’ve started using the Bank of America off of La Vista. It’s easy to get to on my way home.

Car! Flight! PE! Azalea! Bank! PO! Groceries! 3.18.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:37 pm

Came in #2 last week.

OYB!

Español!

Hiked 2.29 miles.

Talked with my friend Pat about the car she’s working on getting for us.

I checked on the prices to go to Texas for Jessi. She wants to see the Solar Eclipse in early April, but sadly the prices had gone up to much to make that feasible. She’ll go in May instead when it’s $200 less expensive.

Turned windy and colder today.

Went by my office to check the mail.

Had a good talk with my Mom. We worked on figuring out the ticket to Texas.

Went by the Post Office to get reimbursed for the $30 I spent for the “overnight” package that took four day to get there. Made me feel a little better. The first package I sent with the original documents STILL hasn’t gotten there. Ay, caramba.

The Nintendo 64 game system finally arrived today. Incredible how messed up the Post Office is in Metro Atlanta right now. Still waiting for the game I got for it to get here.

Picked up the girls at the bus. We went to the Buford Highway Farmers Market for lunch.

Helped the kids with their homework.

Listened to Don Cheto.

Processed the checks and deposited them.

Got my car gassed up and added oil.

Picked up the groceries.

Westside! Hummingbirds! Podcast! 3.17.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 3:32 pm

Don’t stop!

Power popped off and on for over four hours last night. Someone clobbered a power pole not far from our house. I called Walton Power as soon as the lights went dead.

OYB!

Español!

Walked .63 miles.

Made PBJs for J.

Went to Westside BC with K this morning.

I always read along en Español.

K and I ate Mexican food on the way home from church. I like this picture at El Guero.

Hard to believe it’s going to freeze again.

Ordered groceries. I’ll pick them up after work tomorrow.

Cleaned my hummingbird feeders in a bleach solution, rinsed them thoroughly, got them filled, and put them in my yard. The 1/4 mix of sugar to water is easy to measure.

I released an episode of Verbal Surgery called “Lower Case” this afternoon. It’s super practical.

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:13 pm

OYB!

Español!

Walk!

Listened to Don Cheto.

Cleaned, oiled the chain and pumped up my tires for a bike ride.

My carnivores seem to be coming out of dormancy.

Since it was my first bike ride in months, I made it an easy one. Even that was hard.

Perfect weather and gorgeous colors.

All the mail is slow except for Amazon’s own trucks. Anything in USPS is stuck.

Just keep going.

Rain! Homestead Exemption! Lowes! 3.15.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:29 pm

OYB!

Made PBJs for Jessi.

Called my tax guys to make sure they had my forms. They did. Amen.

Sprinkled most of the day. I used an umbrella. Many didn’t.

I found out what happened to the Nintendo 64, although I don’t know when I’ll get it. Case closed.

Fun chat with Anthony. He’s speaking at a convention. I told him he should get a life sized cutout.

Washed my clothes.

I went to Lawrenceville today to get my Homestead Exemption form to them directly. Don’t trust the mail.

While I was there, she said I also qualified for the Solid Waste exemption. I filled out that form and had it notarized for free while I was there. Took a picture of it with my iPhone and emailed it to them. Ah, technology.

Went to Red Robin for lunch. It’d been years since I went there. It was good.

Listened to Don Cheto.

Went to Lowes to check on prices and types of stain for my house. I’m thinking about painting at least one side of my house that looks weather beaten.

That five gallons should cover at least 2,250 sq ft.

Found a lumberyard that has the Roughcut Cedar shiplap siding I need for my house. I need to replace a couple of small boards.

I got a call from my tax guy. There’s an issue we need to address with our payroll company. Gordon said he wanted to talk to my treasurer so I called Jon to get in touch with him.
