I got this very kind note this morning from a friend of mine from Georgetown High School.

Today is Diwali, perhaps the largest of the Hindu holidays. K and I went to eat Indian food to celebrate.

Yesterday I got a message from Mint Mobile that said I was 80% through my 5GB for the month. I’ve had my phone on airplane mode since then. My phone is set up to use wifi for calls so everything seems normal. I didn’t leave the house all day long which is rare for me.

Because of trying to save data, I figured out how to put my favorite podcast on record for later so I don’t have to stream it and use cell phone minutes. It’s easy with Apple Podcasts. This is typical for how I learn something when I need to.

Looked up words I heard that I wasn’t sure about.

Just keep going. By Monday I knew I’d win. Fortunately, I had some competition to keep me going, but after a certain point they always give up, same for me.

Rested. Played Battlefront II and watched some of a new Netflix series called Bodies.

I’ve enjoyed listening to new music while I play Battlefront II.

Worked on getting Kathy’s insurance up to date. It went up in price and for some reason the auto debit didn’t work for it.

After checking the mail, I spent time writing Thank You notes.

Went to the bank to deposit checks. Processed the checks for our records.

Had a fun time throwing candy to the kids.

Fantastic weather today. Still haven’t gotten used to being dark so early. Hate it. That’s mainly because I don’t like driving in the dark.

Penelope forgot some homework at school so we took a quick ride by Huntley Hills to pick it up. She enjoyed showing me her classroom.

We went to Waffle House for lunch/dinner.

Helped the kids with their homework. Tomorrow is a “digital day” which means they get extra homework to do. I decided I’d rather the girls spend the night with me than have to rush over there super early in the morning.

Fixed the girls a pallet in the living room for the girls. Something different. Jesus watching over them.

Put the labels on the Thank You notes I wrote today. Put them in the mail box.

Walked 2.30 miles.

Did some research and ordered a new spray bottle for bleach for my bathtub area.

I changed the time on the clocks in the house. This one doesn’t seem to be working too well.

We had our first brush with freezing weather. So far my banana plants look just fine.

I put my carnivorous plants outside in their winter box. I bring them in when it gets below freezing. This helps with their dormancy period.

I get my pizza from Little Caesar’s. They are all in on the latests Modern Warfare video game. Wow.

I put my new Stone Mountain sticker on.

Did some work on the Donation November 2023 list.

I finished uploading the pictures I took of the team. Also edited the video I shot and got it onto YouTube. Sent an email to Andrew to say “Thanks” and give the links from the weekend.

Just keep going. Worked hard this week.

Had a great time with my team from Roopville Road BC today! We had fun exploring the Buford Highway Farmer’s Market and then working with the kids at Azalea Place Apartments.

I’ll be getting up around 7 AM tomorrow. Have a team in town and still need to set up my stuff. Usually that takes about 45 minutes at the most.
