Perimeter Compassion Unleashed! NAMB Commissioning!
I woke up around 5am (Yow!) and started working on a project for the conference I’m speaking at in Texas tomorrow. Got what I needed done!
Cool this morning!
Kathy, Ashley and I had a fun day today at Perimeter Church!
They had their Compassion Unleashed service with a terrific mission fair.
Amazing balloons!
Kathy liked the tail end.
It was fun to see my partners and meet a lot of our supporters.
Ashley was amazing!
We stamped people’s cards as they came to our booth. I told them “In order for you to get your card stamped you have to say, ‘Stomp on the devil’ and make a stomp with your foot.” We had so much fun getting people to yell “Stomp on the devil!” and stomp real hard.
Gotta get your fun somewhere!
We thought this little boy looked like Jesse when he was little.
Came home to rest for a couple of hours and pack for my trip.
Kathy and I went to N. Metro Baptist Church this evening to participate in the North American Mission Board commissioning of the new missionaries.
It was great to see my friend Bayo Otiti in this special service.
As well as my friends David and Shannon Tate who I’ve known for 15 years! It’s fun to think I played a small part in their lives!
Most of the big wigs for S. Baptists were there tonight. Including Brian Wright from Johnson Ferry BC, who is the current President of the Southern Baptist Convention.
And Kevin Ezell, who is the President of the N. American Mission Board.
Larry Wynn who is VP of Evangelism.
Mike Riggins who’s in charge of Personnel at NAMB.
Here’s part of the group who were commissioned tonight!
Tomorrow I fly to Texas for a week to do a conference with the retired missionaries from E. and S. Africa! They’re like my extended family and I love them!
Probably won’t be blogging till I get back. Pray for me and my family while I’m gone!
