Darwin! Hubble!
Woke up to a fantastic fall morning! Clear and cool–AWESOME!
Jesse and I had a delicious lunch at one of my favorite places, Cafe Istanbul!
We had a fun day today at Fernbank! Some big ol’ dinosaurs! This one is Argentinosaurus.
I always enjoy seeing the science exhibits and today was no exception.
They had an interesting display of skeletons and plants that Darwin had collected on his journeys.
I love these articulated skeletons.
I used to work with Gaboon Vipers like these in Nairobi.
Did you know he was only 22 when he started his journey?
This is a model of the HMS Beagle. He sailed on it for over 5 years.
He loved carnivorous plants. Did you know I’ve kept Venus Flytraps since I was 8 years old?
This is a replica of what his study looked like.
I’ve seen some of the Australiopithicene skulls when I used to work at the Nairobi Museum. Did you know I knew the Leakey family?
I love bones and skulls.
Some people are really angry with the Theory of Evolution. I figure God can use whatever tool HE wants to. He still made it happen!
We topped off our afternoon with an IMAX showing of the Hubble telescope.
I thought the pictures were absolutely amazing.
What a beautiful world God has created!
