Over the last week or so I’ve been working on my new website: www.VerbalSurgery.com. I’ve been fascinated by how the mind can heal the body. Many times that happens through the power of prayer. Others by the power of our minds to focus our attention and harness our ability to visualize. I’ve enjoyed studying neurology, hypnosis, meditation and brain science for over thirty years. This new website illustrates that part of me as well as being home to my proverbs and my podcast Verbal Surgery.
Had an early lunch with one of my favorite youth directors, Ben Birdsong from FBC Pelham!
We had fun eating at Ashiana and seeing my Hindu priest friend, Tek. It’s always great to have the whole family together!
I also got a new Kurta, a formal Indian attire for a wedding.
I’m looking forward to the big festival with my friend Amit Badiani in England in less than a month. He’s like a brother to me!
Came home to exercise. Had a 5 mile run today.
Cleaned up, then on to Azalea to help the kids with their homework. Our biggest group, the 5th graders, were testing so they didn’t have much homework.
Went to Plaza Fiesta to get my friend to rework my holster for my new iPhone 5 which is longer than my iPhone 4s. He seemed confident he could do it!
Also went shopping for fruits and vegetables while I was there. My diet has been pretty successful. So far I’ve lost about 14 pounds.
Jesse has been staying with us on the weekends. It’s always nice when he’s here! And I enjoy having Kathy all to myself when he’s not. So I reckon it’s a win-win!
We enjoyed watching Castle and Dancing with the Stars. I can’t believe I said that.

Kathy, Jesse and I went to Clarkston International Bible Church this morning.
This is the program that Kathy works in.
Pastor Phil spoke about the importance of Israel.
We enjoyed Indian food at Kathmandu grill before coming home.
Had a nice rest, then went out for exercise.
I biked 7.15 miles to Stone Mountain, then ran 4.12 miles at the Bird Sanctuary and to the lake, then rode 7.11 miles back home. Took about 2.5 hours to do that. Yow! It’s beautiful out there!
I thought this mushroom was huge!
I liked these leaves.
Couldn’t believe an azalea was blooming!
Came home and trimmed the bushes in the yard and fixed a gate. We need to keep Sugar penned up more. Silly dog has been running around the neighborhood too far lately.
K and I enjoyed watching TV.
Admin duties now!
Can’t believe they’re putting up Christmas stuff already!
Yes, we do!

Had fun with my family today! Ashley came over to look for some software she needed. Always great to spend time with the fam!
Kathy worked on blowing off the leaves from the roof.
Got ready for some maximum exercise today. Got my bike out, flat tire. : (
Called my bike guys, they told me to bring it on over. Got it fixed fast.
Jesse rode the first 5 miles with me.
I kept going on to Stone Mountain to run in the Bird Sanctuary area.
Biked 7.17 miles.
Then ran 4.43 miles. Had some beautiful trails!
I liked these lichen.
Then biked back home 6.79 miles.
I have an app on my iPhone called RunKeeper. It tracks your route, how many calories your burn, the time you run and exactly how far you run. Free! Lot of fun to know the correct distance!
I was pretty tired when I got home!
Enjoyed a rest, then ate and watched some TV with K and J. Also enjoyed playing some video games with Jesse. Fun!
Rest and admin duties now.
Looking forward to the 5 Outreach Events we’re hosting tomorrow!
I feel the same way!

Had a great day Wednesday!
Worked out like crazy! Biked about 7 miles and ran 4 miles. Felt great!
Then went into town to help Ashley get a new computer. Her old Mac finally gave up the ghost. Sad that she lost some information she needed. Most was backed up.
Always enjoy hanging out with my kids!
Then I went to go see David Byrne and St. Vincent play a show last night. Sounded great. It was awesome to get to see Byrne play again.
I loved the horns!
Talking Heads was always one of my favorite bands. He played some of their old music.
Fun day!

Had an interesting day today!
Incredible amounts of rain yesterday. More than 4″! We had a couple of small leaks in the house. Never good.
My right brake light was out. My sweet wife got it fixed for me early this morning. AWESOME!
Took care of getting my temporary bank card. Didn’t take TOO long. Amen to that!
Came home to work out on weights.
Went into Chamblee with K to pick up Jesse.
We went to go check out the GA Tech campus.
There are some neuroscience seminars coming up that we’re interested in.
It’s a cool place. Lots of brainy looking folks!
Back to the mission to work with the kids.
We cleaned out closets and gave away some books.
Had supper at Taco Veloz. I thought this logo was funny.
Watched Taken with Kathy this evening on TV. Liam’s new movie Taken 2 comes out soon.

I thought this sign was interesting.
Wow!
I thought this is why God created farting.
Tree flavored gum? There’s a sucker born every minute.

Had great fun this morning working on a new podcast.
10,000 Angels has something for everyone! Guns! Explosions! Miracles! Just click on the title.
Jesse and I went over to the club to work out. He ran nearly 4 miles and I did a little over 6 miles. Seeing that he’s not a runner, I was impressed! Afterwards we swam in the pool to cool down and then sat in the hot tub to warm up! Enjoyed a salad at their Starbucks.
After a short rest, we went to the mission to help the kids with their homework.
Poured down rain! We need it.
Silly children.
Got a call from my bank about some possible fraudulent debit card activity. Sure enough, this afternoon someone used my number to make a transaction in Mexico and in Paris. Weird, since the my card never left my billfold. So I have to get a new one tomorrow. Glad the computers can catch weird stuff.
Admin duties now.
TV with K!
