I really liked my air Bnb. Cost less than $50/night!
I did my brain training and Spanish study every day.
I had a fantastic time in Houston with my buddies. Notsuoh, my buddy Jim Pirtle’s place, is located in the old Clarks building.
The art show was incredible. Fellowship was awesome.
Some of my earliest memories as a little Tim were in the Houston metroplex. It’s a beautiful city loaded with interesting people.
Great to get back home last night late.
I read a lot of this.
Started off my day right after a cold night!
Rode my bike today.
It rained while I was gone.
I recorded and released episodes of Verbal Surgery. You’ll enjoy “Inner Limits.”

Did my brain training, breath work, and Spanish study. As usual.
Had a great time with the grand girls today. We went to Goodwill and had a fun time.
Then worked with the kids at the mission. Not many showed up because it was raining pretty hard. I enjoy it in particular because one of the kids I’m working with doesn’t speak English all that well. So we do his reading assignment and then I translate as best I can into Spanish and then some of the other kids help me to make sure I’m getting it right. It’s good practice.
Gassed up the car.
Got my check in done for my trip to Houston tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing Jim Pirtle tomorrow. He’s the closest person I know to an artistic genius. His bar NotsuoH is one of my favorites on the planet.

I went to Rockbridge Baptist Church this morning.
Pat Barrington gave a message on her recent trip to Cuba.
Pastor Bill spoke on the importance of hospitality. I certainly resonated with that sermon.
I installed chrome on my Mac. Now and when I use Netflix to listen to foreign language shows, I can see the subtitles in English and in Spanish at the same time. It’s a good way to learn new material rapidly.
It’s been a rainy day today.
I watered my plants.
Also paid some bills.
I’m looking forward to my trip to Houston this week. It’s just a couple of nights but it’ll be fun.
I had a great conversation with my buddy Jay Noblezada last night. Good times!

I realized I had missed one level 3 lesson. When I did that today it gave me another award for completing the whole Duolingo on the third level. It’s a great app! Highly recommend it if you’re interested in learning a language. And shouldn’t we all?
Fun time with the grand girls today. We ate Mexican food, took them to the airport where they have a playground, then for ice cream.
Went to my office to check the mail and water my tree.
Deposited a check in the bank.
I updated my Geico auto insurance policy.
Released Verbal Surgery “Self Heating” this evening. Always good!
Also recorded a new episode. It’s my best therapy.
Expecting another super cold night.
Pink Magnolias are looking fantastic. My three little trees have just now started to bud out. The two Cherry Blossom trees that I planted last year will be next!

Had nearly an inch of rain yesterday. Certainly has been a wet February!
Did my brain training, breath work, and studied Spanish this morning.
Recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Old News.”
Big limb fell from a tree not far from my house this morning. Glad it didn’t hit anything fragile.
I got a new pitcher plant today. I always enjoy adding to my plant collection.
It’s called Nepenthes Ventricosa. The plants are originally from the Philippines.
The ones I buy are probably grown from seed and raised here in the USA. It’s a carnivorous plant like a Venus Fly Trap. The difference it is a passive trap were insects get trapped in the pitchers and get digested there.
Here’s another type of Nepenthes I have in my collection.

Another very mild day in the ATL. I actually broke out the shorts and flip-flops this afternoon. Incredible for February!
Recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Tiny Sticker.”
Gassed up my car.
Had a fun time with the grand girls at the mission today. All the kids are riding bikes up and down the hill which was great. Better than just video games!
Ashley did a great job with the cooking class today. They all made little chocolate cakes with marshmallow toppings and peanuts and M&Ms. It was a big hit and a lot of fun.
Deposited checks.
My pink magnolias is starting to bloom. My cherry blossom trees are also starting to bud out. Supposed to get to 28 degrees later this week. Hope that doesn’t hurt them.
Worked on taxes this evening.
