Last Day of Summer! PE! Downtown! Village Park! 8.4.23

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:17 pm

Today is the last day for the Pop Pop Summer School. The girls will start Kindergarten and Second Grade on Monday. Wow. We had a wonderful time together. We studied in class every day, learned something, exercised and had a lot of fun.

I believe in this.

Still working on the life insurance forms. See the little number of the form at the bottom left corner? That got cut off, so I had to rescan all the three documents and the Drivers License again. Ay, caramba.

OYB!

Rainy morning. Didn’t last long. It was dry in Chamblee.

Interesting.

EspaƱol!

Cloudy morning. I liked the sunrise color in this cloud.

Walked 2.68 miles in Chamblee. My last walk there for a while. Maybe until next Summer! My walk here at home is WAY harder. Chamblee is basically flat.

Beauty.

Love my girls!

Class!

Everly was really sad because she couldn’t find her plushie “Vanilla.” We scoured the house for her. I finally found her in the bathroom on the sink! We dried her off with paper towels and the hair drier and Everly was all smiles again.

I dried out all the paper towels so they could be used again. I do a similar strategy with the paper towels I use when I wash my hands at restaurants. I use them to clean my hands during the meal. If there are some left over, I put them in my car to use to check the oil.

Then the hair drier. She was her usual fluffy self soon after. Do what you gotta do to keep the children smiling.

You can tell she had been pretty upset.

We set a timer for fifteen minutes. They seemed to react well to that. Lot easier than “get these two pages done.” Never really know how long that might take. We studied about an hour a week doing workbook stuff.

We headed to the MARTA station next to ride the train downtown. She was her normal happy self then.

They really are my favorite people.

Our goal was Metro Diner near Peachtree Center downtown ATL for breakfast/lunch.

I enjoy taking them on Safari. There is always a lot of stuff to see and learn about.

Up the big escalator.

Groovy!

Fun while we waited for our food.

This was our special treat.

We had fun at the Atlanta Marketplace. It’s a huge wholesale mall of top end stuff. You have to have a retail business license to shop there. Didn’t stop us from hanging out!

Nice doggy.

Capital Club.

We liked this.

Groovy.

After our sight seeing, we headed back down the escalator to the trains and to Chamblee.

We ate more of our cake when we got home.

I talked to Tim Deter about that life insurance form. I got it squared away when I got home late this afternoon.

After a thirty minute rest, we went back out to go to the Village Park.

If I have some downtime, I work on Spanish.

I watered my Pink Magnolia tree. She seems like she’s getting over her mildew illness. Little trees are fragile.

Listened to Don Cheto on the way home.

Kathy is taking this. I just did some research on other savings programs.

Stopped by Walmart to pick up bananas and apples. Stupid Walmart app won’t let me get bananas. And they rarely pick the best apples.

Just keep going. Hard to get super motivated to push myself when I’m so far ahead and behind.

Still working on the education course. I’ll get back to it after I finish the blog.
