I’ve been enjoying playing the sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn which is Forbidden West. It’s a huge game.

K and I went to the Lazy River pool today. My arm is still bothering me, so I spent most of my time just floating around in the shallow end. After we were done, I went to the bathroom to dry off and put on my clothes and I slept and fell. I only sprained my big toe. Could have been really bad. Whoosh.
Good chat with my buddy Anthony. We often talk while he’s cooking.
Man, it was hot today. My car said it was 100 degrees.
Did my laundry.
Called Jon about a paycheck that Ashley was missing from the end of February.
The city of Chamblee is working on part of the road in front of Azalea.
Picked up my girls at the bus. I took Penelope to get Vietnamese food then we ate it at Taco Veloz where Everly and I wanted to go. This is becoming a regular thing these days. Two different locations. Hard to get everyone to match up. No big deal for me.
I liked this license plate.
Bunch of kids at the mission.
Cleaned the mission before I left. Took out the trash. Won’t be back there till after Labor Day.
Sprayed my pink magnolia with fungicide and watered her.
Gassed up my car.
Went to my office to check the mail and water my ficus.
Processed the checks and deposited them at the bank.
Don Cheto.
Mileage.
I dropped my car off at Garmon’s Auto Service on the way home. Kathy came over to pick me up. I’m getting the oil changed.
Normally, my score would be in the top three for sure. Sometimes there are a lot of serious students. I don’t get uptight about it. Let some other people win.
K and I went to Perimeter Mall for lunch. I also went to the Apple Store to pick up my Mac Air which needed a new display.
Great to hear from my buddy, Fred Sorrels. He’s in Paris working with the Niger team at the Paralympics.
Hot today.
K and I picked up the the girls and took them to Waffle House.
I had never seen the yellow wrench warning light in my Honda CR-V. Wasn’t sure what it meant. I called Garmon Auto who are my new car guys. They told me that it meant there was maintenance due, which is what I thought it was. Time for an oil change. I asked them if it would be good to do it on Friday, which they said it was. I’ll drop it off over there on Thursday evening.
I dropped K and the girls at their house and went on to the mission to work with the kids. There weren’t too many today, which is a blessing. I do my best work when I’m not completely overwhelmed.
I worked on getting the resolution on my Mac to look right with my TV. Took me a while. Not particularly easy.

Apple Store! Newsletters! Pastor Bill! Lonnie! PE and their rooms! Azalea! October 26, 2024
I signed up for the Apple Store and went over there early this morning. The Apple tech said that it was a bad display and that they could get it fixed five days. Went from there to First Baptist Church Dorville to turn in my newsletter. Had a good talk with Pastor Bill about his music Director leaving. Just general issues working with churches. Went to talk with below for lunch and to fold and stuff the newsletters. Most of the job already been done before hand. Went to the Post office to get stamps and put them on the newsletters and put them in the mail. Talked with Lonnie about doing workshops at Azalea. I told her I think she needed to do a survey first because I didn’t think anybody would really turn out for anything. Picked up the girls and took Everly to Chick-fil-A and Penelope to CC pizza. After we ate, went over to their house to see the girls rooms. They had moved the furniture around and looked really cute. Took the girls over to Azalea with me to help the kids at the Mission.I’ve gotten away from giving out drinks and snacks because it’s just such a mess. I don’t think I’m sick but I sure do feel tired. I’m my arm is bothering me.

The screen on my computer suddenly went dark today while I was working on my newsletter. It had what looked to be a dead area on it last night. I’ll be taking it in to the Apple Store tomorrow morning. I’m not sure what they’ll do or when I’ll get my computer back. Therefore, this may the last post on my blog until it gets fixed or replaced. Oh, well. I’m glad I have insurance on it.
I liked this and have found it to be true.

Pray that the guys at Apple can get my computer running tomorrow. Amen.
Last night, when I turned on my Mac Air, the right hand side of my screen was dead. I’ll have to take it in to the Apple Store next Monday and see if I can get it squared away. I’m glad I paid for insurance.

I injured my left arm when I hauled those big logs from the branch that fell last week. I cut my ride short because of it hurting. Rode 6.00 miles. I’m sure working on the roof impacted it.
Listened to Don Cheto while I rode.
Saw this bumpersticker on my way to lunch.
Dropped off some of K’s old clothes at the thrift store near where I ate.
